It’s been a couple weeks since Seleste and I first sparred against each other. Now all the warriors stop to see us spar together. I have been planning a special night for Seleste and me with my mom. I want to make this a night she will remember for the rest of our lives. I asked my mom to set up a dinner, movie and romantic night in my special area at the edge of our territory. There is this valley in the middle of the forest with a stream running through it. There are dense woods all around the area, but right in the middle is the perfect place to view the moon at night. The stream running through the area is crystal clear and cleaning than any other water source in the country. There is a legend that says the goddess protects the stream. It is said that the water has healing properties. To our pack, this area is sacred. It is the perfect place for Seleste and to rebuild our bond and restart of matehood officially. I plan for us to renew our commitment to each other.
I got up extra early this morning so I could meet my mom in the kitchen before Seleste or the others come down.
“Good morning mom,”
I walk into the kitchen and kiss my mom on the cheek. I am so glad all the distance between us is gone. I may be a big bad alpha, but I am still a momma’s boy. It really hurt when she was mad at me and thought the worst of me. I thought she would believe in me if no one else did. I kind of see her point. I am an only child. My mom always wanted a daughter, but resigned herself to having a daughter-in-law. That dream died with my first mate, but was restored with Seleste. My mom instantly loved Seleste at first sight. It felt like I was taking her dream from her, along with the hope of grandchildren. My mother never liked the idea of me picking a chosen mate. She always encouraged me to wait. It’s like she knew the goddess would give me a second chance mate. I don’t know how she knew, but my mom never lost hope.
“Hi handsome face. The fact that you are up before the food is done means you are too excited about tonight to sleep.” My mom says.
“You know it, and I wanted to check in with you on how everything is going. Were you able to get the dome for us to sleep in tonight?”
“Yes dear, we got you camping bubble set up for you. I had it frosted for extra privacy. It is beautiful. Seleste is going to love it. I have the area set up let a tropical retreat. We have the outdoor dining are set up with a table for two. After dinner, you will move over to the outside movie theater, complete with reclining moving theater chairs, well one oversize love seat, heated with over side pillows and blankets. We loaded the projector with all of Seleste’s favorite movies and before you say anything, it’s her night so suck it up,” my mom says.
She knows her son. But mom is right, this night is all about Seleste and I get the pleasure of being in her company and allowing her to relax in the middle of preparing for a major war. She deserves this night. After this war is over, we will go away for a month-long vacation.
“Thanks mom, this all sounds wonderful. Thank you for taking my ideas and making them all come true. I could not have done this without you.”
“This was my pleasure, baby. I’m just so happy that things are going so well with you and Seleste. I will be glad when this war is over so you and Seleste can work on me some grandbabies.”
“Mom!”
“Don’t mom me. None of us is getting any younger, so get busy. Well, after this nasty busy with the war I mean.”
“Ok mom, after the war, Seleste and I will talk about it.” I say and smile.
“After tonight, there will be a lot less talking between the two of you.”
“Mom.”
“What? I have been mated for more years than you have been around, but I still remember what it’s like to be newly mated. I still get butterflies when your father walks in the room.”
“Mom, please stop. I don’t even want to think about you and dad.”
“Oh, don’t hate son. I can’t help that I keep your mom with a smile on her face.” My dad says, walking in the room. “I can give you a few pointers if you need.”
“Ugh. No dad, I think I am good. Can we please talk about something else?” I ask getting a laugh from my parents.
It’s times like this that I wished I had siblings to take some of this embarrassment. My Beta walks in and to say I am glad that there is somewhere else in the room is an understatement.
“From the redness of your face, I guess your dad is bragging about how happy your mom is again.” My beta says.
“Please don’t open that door again. The last thing I want to be thinking about today is my parents’ love life.”
“My poor alpha having performance anxiety. Maybe your dad can give you some pointers.”
“Seriously Mason. I can’t believe you right now. Have your fun now, but remember, I reserve the right to tease you just as hard when you get your mate and at the rate of those around my mate finding mates, your day is coming soon.”
I can’t help but laugh at his facial expression after thinking about what I said. We all heard about how all of her warriors found mates while traveling with Seleste. There are a few female warriors who will come to join the team sometime this week. I believe one of them will be my beta’s mate. I can’t wait to see that unfold. No one deserves it more than he does. He has been waiting for years to meet his mate. Our pack needs a beta female and if she is a warrior trained by Seleste, that would be the icing on the cake.
Breakfast gets started in full now. All the warriors and their mates are here and my mate walks in the kitchen looking as beautiful as always. Time to start the second part of our day. Seleste knows that I have things planned for today, but I kept most of it a secret so that I could surprise her.
“Good morning, beautiful. You look rested.” I say with a smile since she slept nestle in my arms all night.
“Good morning, baby. I slept well last night. All snugged and wrapped in love.” Seleste says.
‘Ok, enough with the cuteness.” My Beta says.
“Remember, Mason, your time is coming soon.” I say.
“Sooner than you think.” Seleste says with a smirk.
That just confirmed what I was thinking. One of the warriors coming will be our Beta female. I can’t help but smile as Mason sits there looking awe struck.
I pull out a chair for Seleste and go fix her a plate with all her breakfast favorites. My baby loves herself some beacon and my mom made a batch just for her. She likes her beacon peppery and sweet. I placed the plate in front of her and she beams when she sees her beacon.
‘Thank you, Momma Daisy, for making my favorite beacon this morning.”
“Anything for you, sweetheart.” My mom says.
I love that they are so close already. I know we will be a happy family for years to come.
Talia and the twins finally walk in and I’m excited that Seleste’s special day can finally begin.
“Baby, you know that I have been planning a special day for us. The first part of this day is you with Talia and the females spending a day of shopping and pampering. I know shopping is not your favorite thing, but I want you to get a special dress for tonight and then relax with a trip to the spa and do whatever you all do at the spa. I have already given Talia and Yvette my black card, so enjoy the day and I will see you back here in a few minutes. Before you ask, your warriors will also be with you, so security will be tight, and the mall and spa are within our territory.”
I could see her relax once she knew that her friends and female warriors would be able to enjoy themselves with her and not worry about security. Seleste is always thinking about other and especially her team. She would not have been able to enjoy herself if Talia, Yvette and the others didn’t get to join in with her. I like that the mates of her top warriors are also trained warriors. Seleste told me that the goddess said that we are an unstoppable force. I can see that. We are surrounded by some of the top warriors in our kingdom, and we train with the best of the best. There is an old human saying; iron sharpens iron. We put that in practice.
Seleste and her entourage all prepare to leave. The males are taking an SUV and following them at a safe distance. I watch them all drive away, then go into the kitchen to go over the menu with the kitchen staff. We are doing seafood. Stating out with Shrimp Cocktail. The next course will be a seafood soup and a salad with crab meat sprinkled on top. For the entrée, we will have the option of Red Snapper Livornese or Phyllo-wrapped Halibut with lemon scallion sauce with fresh steamed vegetables. For desert, we will have a cheese cake surprise. The surprise is that it is made with a strawberry center. Seleste is going to absolutely love this.
After I finish meeting with the kitchen staff and going over the plan with them and my mom. I go in the office and do some actual alpha work. I don’t plan on working that long because I want to be ready when Seleste returns. I take a moment and send her a message to let her know I am thinking of her.
“Baby, stop making me think about you and how sexy you looked this morning. I’m trying to work.” I send with a heart emoji.
‘If it makes you feel better. I was thinking about you as well. Can’t wait to feel your arms around me.” She responds.
“Now I will never be able to get back to work. All I can focus on now is the feel of you in my arms, you under me screaming my name in pleasure over and over again.”
“Talia told me to tell you to hose our phones down because they do not want to smell my arousal in here.”
“Tell Talia I had to spend weeks with her and the twins. I am sure she is used to it, but I’ll leave you to enjoy your time with the girls. I’m counting the hours till I get to smell your arousal for myself. I can’t wait to taste you.” I respond with a kiss emoji.
It’s 4:30 and I am waiting for Seleste and the others to get back. The twins are waiting with me in the rec room. My mom decided to make a special dinner for all the mated couples. The kitchen made a seafood pasta for them. My mom had the private dining room decorated for the couples. The lights are turned low and candles are lit around the room. When the females get back, they will get a little cocktail hour while the warriors all go get dressed. Seleste and I will hang join them for cocktails before being taken to our location. I arranged for a horse and carriage for us.
I see the SUVs pull up. It is taking everything in me not to run out there to Seleste. I see the twins are having the same struggle. I want to give the ladies the opportunity to enter. While the ladies are preparing to make their grand entrances, the warriors pull their SUV to the back so they can enter through the back door to go get ready. My mom arranged for some of the pack shoppers to go get suits for the warriors while they were out. It is a good thing we have our own tailors who have a supply of suits in stock for the more muscular wolves. Most of us are not average size. We are taller and broader with more defined muscles.
After a short wait, the ladies start to exit the vehicle. It is almost like watching a red carpet moment. All the ladies are dressed to the nines. I see Yvette, then Talia step out. Finally, Seleste steps out, and I forgot to breathe. She is wearing our favorite color, and it looks absolutely stunning. I am just frozen in my spot, staring at my mate.
“I hope the fact that we freeze you speechless is a good thing.”
