Discussion Thread: [Discussion] Can't believe the curse of "Flash Play" could actually be broken one day!!! (Trending)
1L (OP): As a native of J Province, I can say I deeply loathe this stupid show that has god knows how many J Province players. Every day I hope everyone, including those who support the show's continuation, gets selected for the God Hunt. I never thought in my lifetime I'd actually see this stupid show that kills whoever it targets finally take a hit!
2L: Also from J Province, who understands the pain of finally finding a player you like only for them all to be killed off by that stupid Flash Play?
3L: You guys don't actually believe it's just a simple metaphysical issue, do you? Flash Play definitely has something shady going on behind the scenes, maybe they're even colluding with the God Hunt!
4L: Isn't it said that Flash Play has some powerful backing?
5L: Can any backing be more powerful than the entire country?
6L: Regardless of whether Flash Play is man-made or metaphysical, at least someone has finally ended its hundred-kill streak. I knew someone who could speedrun a solo instance wouldn't be simple.
4L: To be honest, this instance seemed both difficult and not. As long as the players didn't go to the Mountain God Temple, they could avoid the Mountain God's temptation. The Curly-Haired Woman wouldn't have died, and the Suited Man and the baseball cap young man wouldn't have failed in their schemes—one getting killed in retaliation and the other dying from the backlash. The tricky part was determining whether the food was poisoned. One wrong move and the whole team could have been wiped out.
5L: The person upstairs thinks the players wanted to go to the Mountain God Temple? They all went to gather clues. Even if the temple had nothing, they'd still have to check it out. Otherwise, they'd miss key clues and be done for.
6L: The poisoned food was indeed too insidious. The problem was the original food was fine, but the Village Chief's well happened to break, causing his wife to use a different water source for cooking. It's hard to say the instance wasn't intentional about that.
7L: When Xu Xi said the food was poisoned, I'm not exaggerating when I say a chill shot up from the soles of my feet. The players all spoke with the Village Chief who checked the well, but only he keenly connected it to the food being problematic.
8L: Wait? That baseball cap guy died too?
9L: Yeah, he died after the Village Chief led people to smash the Mountain God Temple.
10L: So he really made a wish to the Mountain God.
11L: Think again about who suggested smashing the Mountain God Temple.
12L: ...WTF.
13L: I said it before. In the previous hotel instance, everyone who offended Xu Xi got subtly screwed over by him. In this instance, with the baseball cap guy's blatant betrayal, how could Xu Xi possibly let him off? Turns out it just wasn't the right time yet.
14L: Regarding this, this master has an analysis. Would you all care to hear it?
15L: Oh, the master is here. Master, please sit. Master, tell me what color underwear I should wear today to get rich.
16L: Master, please speak. We are all ears.
17L: Ahem, red. Okay, back on topic. Is it possible that the baseball cap guy's schemes were all within Xu Xi's expectations?
18L: ? Master, did you come here just to state the obvious?
19L: Young people, don't be impatient. Listen to me explain in detail. Everyone knows Xu Xi understands psychology. After the players came out of the Mountain God Temple, would Xu Xi not know which players were tempted by the Mountain God? From the three NPCs who made wishes, we can see there's a price. But later, did any of the players who made wishes actively step forward or openly try to resolve this price?
20L: Holy crap, Master, you're not a half-baked fraud.
21L: Of course not! Continuing, did the players who made wishes not care about the so-called price or not believe there would be one? Impossible. Players who've survived several instances aren't that careless. It can only mean they actually knew how to eliminate the price. From our viewer perspective, the reason they kept silent was probably related to the players who hadn't made wishes—most likely, killing a player who hadn't made a wish as a substitute. Xu Xi might not have had our god's-eye view, but he must have guessed it too.
22L: Also, there's a time limit after making a wish. When the time is up, the Mountain God collects the price. The Door-Knocking Old Man died the day after successfully making his wish. That couple probably got envious seeing the old man dig up gold and also made wishes. The timeline the Village Chief gave was vague. I've reasonably deduced the sequence: The Door-Knocking Old Man made a wish one day and dug up gold in the field that same day. Then, after the old man dug up the gold, the couple also made wishes, so they also died the next day. That's why the Village Chief said they were found after the old man.
23L: And the Curly-Haired Woman also died early the next morning. I bet you're wondering why the Suited Man and the baseball cap guy were fine. The players made wishes simultaneously, so there was probably some order. The Curly-Haired Woman was unlucky and was first. Her death bought time for the other two, but it also made them anxious, since the next to die would be one of them.
24L: The baseball cap guy couldn't sit still first, so after the Curly-Haired Woman's death, he was the first to test the waters. His probing found him an ally—the Suited Man, who had also made a wish. The two connected at that point. Did anyone notice that while waiting for the Village Chief to arrange the Curly-Haired Woman's burial, the Suited Man said "time is running out"? He was actually reminding the baseball cap guy.
25L: That afternoon, the Suited Man suggested splitting up. I don't need to explain the purpose, right? It was to separate the remaining three players. The baseball cap guy naturally understood the hint. The Long Dress Girl seemed the weakest, so both the baseball cap guy and the Suited Man targeted her. However, there was only one Long Dress Girl, so the baseball cap guy had to switch targets mid-way. Who would have thought the seemingly weakest Long Dress Girl would be the most ruthless, killing the Suited Man in retaliation? As for Xu Xi, it goes without saying. From the clinic segment, it's clear he had already figured everything out, but was just coldly observing until the end, when he lightly used Village Chief Zhu to get the baseball cap guy killed.
26L: ...Holy shit, we've met a real master.
27L: I was wondering how the guy in the suit and the baseball cap guy teamed up. Turns out they secretly exchanged signals when the Curly-Haired Woman died. I really didn't see it at all.
28L: Damn, are you guys even human? A honeycomb briquette has fewer holes than you have schemes!
29L: Why did human evolution forget me? WHY?!
30L: It seems Xu Xi was just watching for entertainment, right? After all, he didn't warn the other two players who hadn't made wishes either.
31L: The person upstairs just realized? Hasn't Xu Xi always been like this? When has he changed? I think many times he deliberately stays silent just to see what tricks these teammates can come up with.
32L: Xu Xi: Another day of observing human diversity.
33L: Then, Master, analyze how Xu Xi knew the barefoot doctor would commit arson? From the final newspaper content, I guess if the players hadn't discovered it that night, they would have been done for.
34L: Put that question and the birthday instance together into the world's unsolved mysteries. This master doesn't know either.
35L: Even Flash Play's debuff can be ignored... How OP is that? Feels like this person really isn't on the same level as the other players.
36L: It's only been 4 instances, don't jump to conclusions. There's still a lot of uncertainty in the future.
