“You look uneasy, why?”
“Because you are staring,” I replied in a barely audible voice. I didn’t know if he heard me or what, but I didn’t give a damn. The man has disturbed my peace of mind since his arrival.
"You didn't seem to mind your appearance before; why do you appear uneasy now?"
Jordan became aware of my discomfort and was impolite enough to inform me of it. Couldn't he just close his mouth? "You make me feel uneasy!" If only you wouldn't steal glances at my cleavage, I'd go change my clothes." I stood up to leave, but he grabbed my hand quickly, and I raised my brows when he did.
"If you don't want me to look, you should dress decently!"
“That’s offensive to say, Jordan!” I told him.
After calling out the misappropriate words he uttered, he felt offended and walked away. As a man, he should be saying that kind of nonsense because respecting a woman wouldn’t depend on the clothes she’s wearing.
Nevertheless, I felt it was appropriate to follow him inside, and when I couldn’t find him in the living room, I went upstairs to investigate. The door to his bedroom was closed, and as I knocked on it, my gaze was drawn to the other room.
"Are you inside, Jordan?" I placed my ears on the wooden door to listen, and when he suddenly opened it, a loud scream could be heard throughout the house, and I fell to the floor.
“Krystal!” He helped me up, but of all the things that could go wrong, a wardrobe malfunction was not one of them. Logan averted his gaze as I adjusted my dress. It was so humiliating! "I’m sorry about what I said earlier, but it was really wrong for you to say it.”
“Okay. Are you finished with the laundry?" He inquired.
"Not yet," I said.
"So, what exactly are you doing here?" He screamed.
"I just came to apologize," I explained. I wondered what I had done wrong as he sighed.
“And where’s the apology? I didn’t hear you apologize since you came,” he pointed out.
For a moment, I narrowed my eyes at him, and in that moment, I realized something. “I’ve changed my mind,” I told him and he was too stunned to speak.
I returned to the laundry area as soon as he glared at me. I have said enough to provoke him, and he wasn’t pleased at all! From time to time, my eyes would check the door in case he followed me, but there was no sign of Jordan Lopez.
After the laundry, I proceeded to the kitchen to prepare his meals, then I planned to check on Alice after preparing his food. However, as soon as his food was ready, I saw that that the house needed some cleaning, so I cleaned it.
Fortunately, Logan didn’t bother to check on me while I did the chores. Actually, he should be glad that I went all in for making his stay in my place comfortable.
After doing the laundry, cooking, and cleaning, my body was exhausted. I was so tired but my desire to check on Alice and my son outweighed the need to take a rest. Alice was glad to see me but unfortunately my son was sleeping when I arrived. I kissed his dimpled cheek and lay beside her. Alice was on the other side of the bed, and we talked about random things. Suddenly, the phone rang and Alice panicked after taking the call.
“What’s wrong?”
“Master Logan’s twin has just arrived and he wished to meet you,” Alice told me.
“Logan’s twin? He just arrived? I thought our guest is Jordan!”
“I’m sorry, Krystal, but Master Logan asked me not to tell you,” Alice confessed.
“Wait, are you saying that the man who stressed me out is my husband and not Jordan?”
Alice nodded.
“Where’s Logan?” I asked her and immediately strolled toward the door but before I could open it, Alice stopped me.
“Krystal, why don’t you get back at your husband for playing a prank on you?” Alice asked.
“How?”
“Keep on pretending that you are not aware of the truth, and try to seduce him. That way, he wouldn’t dare play this prank again,” Alice suggested.
“Mmmm, I think it’s a good idea, Alice,” I agreed, and then I narrowed my eyes at the realization that he remembered that night, but didn’t mention anything about it. Damn you, Logan!
“Anyway, how is Eleazar?” I asked, and as expected, she frowned when I asked her about Eleazar.
Alice rolled her eyes before speaking, “He could be dying and I wouldn’t give a damn.”
“That’s a harsh thing to say, Alice!” I was shocked when she uttered something like that.
Personally, I liked Eleazar because he’s a hardworking and kind man. Although, his financial standing wasn’t that great, plus the fact that he was only adopted, it didn’t change the fact that he’s a good person. He was doing his best to make a living and to support his adoptive family. I heard that he used to be great in school but due to financial restraints and some other hindrances, he wasn’t able to finish schooling.
“Can we not talk about that man? I’d rather discuss about your brother who cheated on me, Krystal,” she stated.
“You can kill him if you want. If that happens, everything will become mine,” I said to Alice and she looked at me in disgust. “I’m just kidding!”
“At least he’s handsome,” Alice said and I just stared at the woman in disbelief. She was always a sucker for handsome guys!
“Handsome but no substance. In fact, I doubt if he knows how to treat a woman right,” I muttered.
“He’s yummy,” Alice reasoned out.
“No, he’s not!”
“He is.”
I rolled my eyes at Alice because it was obvious that she was still head over heels with my brother, Claude.
Later on, Alice brought me to the kitchen and I was surprised at the fried chicken on the table. It was done perfectly, and the aroma was inviting. Without wasting more time, I went to the rice cooker, and scooped some rice into my plate. Alice did the same and we both enjoyed our meal.
Before returning to the place where Logan was staying, I went to check with my son again. She was still soundly asleep so I just promised Alice I would be back later. Then, as expected, Logan seemed to be in a foul mood when I got back.
“Where have you been?” He yelled at me as soon as I closed the door behind me.
“At the resort. I needed to talk with Alice,” I explained but when I noticed he was all dressed up, I furrowed my brows before asking. “Are you going somewhere?”
“Yes, and you have to come with me,” he answered.
“Right now?” I asked in disbelief.
“Why? Do you have a problem with the schedule, Krystal?”
“No, nothing,” I said. “I’ll just change my outfit,” I told him. "By the way Jordan, how come you still remember that night? Do you still find me attractive?" I asked and then I posed seductively before him. "What are you doing?"
"You know what, after what happened to us, I couldn't stop thinking about it, Jordan. I see your face in my dreams, and I even prayed to meet you again.., but then, I met someone else." "So, are you saying that you regretted marrying Logan?" "Mmmmm, I don't know, but I think-
I was just acting as per Alice's suggestion and within five minutes, Logan couldn't handle me anymore. He clenched his jaw as he grabbed my wrist, and without a warning, he ravished my mouth. I panted for breath when he released me. When I looked into his eyes, he was still furious, and I chuckled. "You are really cute," I mumbled. "You are only mine, Krystal!" he claimed. "I know, so quit acting your brother and be my husband again," I told him. "Darn! Alice can't really be trusted!" "How dare you do this? I am going to punish you for this, Logan Lopez!"
"Later, baby. For now, let me make love to you. I miss you so much," Logan said and I couldn't be happier when he claimed me over and over again.
