Shadow Ruler

In "Shadow Ruler," the protagonist begins life in profound ignorance, unaware of the outside world, human connection, familial affection, language, sustenance, attire, and the full spectrum of emotions like joy, anger, sorrow, and self-expression. His mother died during childbirth, and his father, never showing him love, subjected him to violence, confined him to a private room, and provided only meager sustenance: a daily hard piece of bread and a glass of water. The city's inhabitants harbored only negativity towards him, viewing him as a devil's child and an abomination due to his father's actions. His sole companions were a long-tailed cat and a three-legged crow bird, who offered kindness and taught him various things. One day, orchestrated by the townspeople and his father, he was slated for execution by an assassin, appointed by an important figure. However, instead of an assassin, a formidable, scary-looking older brother appeared. The protagonist grapples with feelings of worthlessness and questions why he is hated, pondering if his existence was a mistake. The narrative explores themes of child abuse, a child protagonist, demons, a mute character, sword and magic, and a weak-to-strong male protagonist.
