"Hi Liam!"
As he walked while monitoring MindChain’s price that kept rising, he was surprised by the greeting of a mature woman who looked to be around 30 years old, with long wavy pink hair.
She wasn’t just beautiful with a stunning face, but also somewhat glamorous, wearing long earrings and a striking necklace, dressed in a formal blazer and a slightly long skirt—but with one leg raised and leaning against the wall, her smooth thigh still visible.
"Professor Wilson?" Liam said instinctively.
Fiona Wilson—she was also a young lecturer, only one year older than Anna Diaz, but she taught politics. She had even run for State Council member at the age of 26. The result, of course, was failure. She received very few votes.
It was hard to succeed when she couldn’t even hide her glamorous lifestyle, but perhaps she wanted to present herself authentically according to her own taste.
People had suggested she start from the City Council, but she seemed to have very high ambitions.
This year, she appeared to be targeting the mayor position. In recent years, she had indeed built her name, especially through social media. Even many high-ranking figures in the Democratic Party supported her.
Liam didn’t expect her to greet him directly as he passed by.
She was indeed somewhat friendly, but that didn’t mean she would greet someone casually.
"What is it, Professor?" Liam asked, curious but still relaxed.
The woman suddenly handed him a piece of paper showing her photo—neatly presented with her hair tied up—along with a QR code and several bank account numbers.
(Dr. Fiona Wilson, Candidate for Mayor of City X, Democratic Party!)
"I need donations," she said with a faint smile.
Liam didn’t know how to react.
"I heard you have a lot of money now. You’re not that stingy, right?" she continued, speaking close to Liam’s ear and lightly patting his shoulder before walking away in a charming manner.
Liam blinked several times, unsure whether to laugh or cry.
He looked at the paper, wondering if he should donate.
What the woman wanted certainly wasn’t just a few hundred dollars.
Of course, donations like this weren’t without return—as long as she won. But she was only a mid-tier candidate, not the most popular one.
To win would require enormous campaign funding.
Most likely, she just wanted to boost her popularity further through the mayoral election.
Liam couldn’t decide yet. He checked MindChain’s price and was stunned to find it had already reached a 5 million market cap, with many comments demanding the developer to trade again.
It had gone viral.
People were interested in holding it after seeing how it created "miracles."
As Liam walked to the cafeteria, he saw two people monitoring MindChain on Dex while talking quietly, likely discussing whether to enter the coin.
There was, of course, risk.
The developer could sell all their coins and move the fee money to a personal wallet.
If that happened, the coin would collapse instantly.
Liam just smiled.
Then he couldn’t help but feel slightly uneasy when he saw Anna Diaz walking ahead while looking at her phone with a frown.
He tried to turn away, but she still noticed him.
"Liam, wait!" she suddenly called while walking quickly toward him.
As usual, she wore long pants and a formal shirt, never dressing revealingly.
Liam had no choice but to stop, pretending to be confused being called by a lecturer.
"What is it, Professor Diaz?" he asked softly.
She frowned first, then said,
"Are you sure about your gift? That’s a lot of money. You might have been drunk at the time. If you want, I’ll return it."
Liam was stunned.
It seemed she wasn’t at ease, worried something was wrong.
"Professor, no, I gave it willingly..." Liam replied.
"Liam, even if you’ve earned a lot of money, that doesn’t mean you can spend it recklessly... I’m not that narrow-minded to take that much from my student."
Her tone turned into advice.
"I understand, Professor. But you don’t need to worry. I truly don’t mind—nor do I regret it. I’ve learned a lot from your live streams. That money is genuinely a gift for the knowledge I’ve gained."
Liam wasn’t lying.
When someone had money, it was natural to give back to teachers who helped them grow.
That was also why he didn’t mind giving $1500 to Professor John.
Even if the old man was annoying, Liam couldn’t deny he learned a lot from him.
His answer left Anna Diaz momentarily speechless, though she still frowned as if thinking of a counterargument.
Her nature was sincere—she didn’t like taking advantage of others, unlike many people nowadays.
"Professor Diaz, you should keep the money..." Liam added.
"Actually, it also came from gifts I received during a live stream. Yesterday my live stream went viral because it showed someone catching a huge fish..."
After saying that, he continued walking toward the cafeteria.
He met Luna at the entrance.
As usual, she was wearing shorts to university.
"What a coincidence," she said with a chuckle.
She pulled Liam to an empty table inside, attracting the attention of Vivian, Alex, and their circle.
Vivian looked even more displeased now that Luna no longer joined their group.
Luna noticed her expression—but didn’t care, which only made Vivian more irritated.
Then, unexpectedly, Vivian raised her middle finger at Luna.
The cafeteria fell silent for a moment.
Luna, who had just sat down, immediately stood up.
"What do you mean?" she shouted and walked quickly toward Vivian’s table.
Liam was stunned by the sudden change.
Luna seemed to become furious instantly because of that gesture.
BANG!
She grabbed a cup from the table and slammed it hard.
"Luna, calm down..." Ayla, who was also there, grabbed Luna’s hand—but Luna shook her off.
On the other hand, Vivian showed no fear.
She stood up to face Luna.
"What’s wrong? Is it that fun being your childhood friend’s bitch—the same one you used to say didn’t matter?" she sneered.
"Hahaha, now you must know what his ’chicken’ tastes like, right?"
