**Lucia's POV**
My heartbeat increases at the anonymous call and my thoughts are blinded completely. Who is it? What do they want from me? Why are they doing this? Questions for which I don't have any answers raise in my head. Maybe someone is just pranking me.
Yea. It's just a prank. I try to calm my heart and jump suddenly as the doorbell rings. I blink rapidly and realize that I have tears in my eyes. The doorbell rings again and I stand up from the couch. I open the door and a man stands with a basket of pink Blush roses.
"Mrs. Walter?" He asks.
"Um...yeah. That's me.” I smile at him and he hands me the basket. He hands me a piece of paper to sign and once done, I thank him. He nods. He stares at me for a couple of seconds and smirks lightly.
"Are you Okay, Miss?" He asks and I feel like his voice is familiar. I nod my head
and his lips raise slightly. I furrow my eyebrows. "Have a good day ma'am." He smiles and turns and leaves.
What was it?
It was just a man who delivered some roses which Damon ordered. And I'm just being paranoid. Am I? Or is there something happening around me? No. No. Everything is fine.
Everything is fine. I repeat my mantra in my mind until I believe it. I take a deep breath once again and carry the roses inside. I search for a vase to put them in it and once done I head back to the living room. I text
Damon.
To: Damon Thank you for the Roses. I love you. X
I wait for his reply but when I don't get one I head to the kitchen to make some sandwiches. I slice the vegetables slowly and
I feel someone tap the window next to the sink and when I look at it there's something on it. My heart races once again as I approach the window. I scan the paper that is stuck on the window and realize that there's a message on it.
You are mine and I will do anything to get you. X
My breathing turns uneven once again. Everything around me blurs, tears form In my eyes and the last thing I remember is my head hitting the floor and my eyes closing.
Damon's POV.
"So what do you say, Mr. Walter? Are you going to sign it?" Mr. Adams asks.
The deal is good, and the profit ratio is beneficial but I'm not sure if we will get profits at all. People don't buy products with high prices and I know that very well.
"Mr. Adams," I cleared my throat. "I don't think I'm okay with the price. How about we make it two hundred?" I ask. Zayn looks at me intently and then nods his head.
"Two hundred? But that's a very low price, Mr. Walter." He states.
"And five hundred is very high and your product is not that much worth,” I explain. "People can't afford it and when they can't afford it they obviously won't buy it and we won't get any profits," I add.
"But two hundred is very less, we might get into losses." His assistant speaks.
"Earning isn't important, customer satisfaction is the main aim here." Zayn reminds them and I give an approving nod.
"I can't reduce the price." Mr. Adams announces.
"Then, I'm not signing the contract." I retort and stand up from my seat. It's already afternoon and he isn't agreeing to what I say. I didn't call Lucia, didn't talk to my kids and I miss them. I miss them so much.
"Damon," Zayn starts to stop me but I raise my hand to stop him.
"If you reduce the price then I will sign the contract or else forget about it.” I grab my phone and walk out. My assistant joins me and hands me a bottle of water. I gulp it down. I Dial her number. I need to talk to her. Her phone rings and rings but she doesn't pick up.
Why isn't she picking up the call? Is she okay?
Thoughts of her not being okay make my stomach churn and my heart falls into my stomach. Maybe she's in the shower? Yes. She's okay. She'll call back. I drink the remaining water and calm myself down.
After a couple of minutes, I call once again and there is still no response. Why isn't she answering her calls? I text her and realize that there is a text from her and a call. Shit. Maybe she's pissed that I didn't answer. Maybe she knew where I was last night and misunderstood the situation. No, no, there is no way she can know. Without thinking I Dial Liam. He answers after three rings.
"Hello?" He answers the call. "Hey, um... it's me. Damon." I say.
"Oh, why did you call?" He asks.
"It's Lucia. She's not answering her phone." I will explain.
“Maybe she's in the shower." He replies.
"I've been calling for a long time," I say and hear him slowly.
"I'll go check her house." He assures and I thank him before I hang up. I hope she's okay.
"Excuse me?" I call for someone and a woman in her twenties shows up. Her face isn't caked with makeup like I expected it to be and her face is covered with freckles. And she's beautiful.
"How can I help you?" She asked me and I furrowed her eyebrows.
"I need a coffee. With milk and two sugar." I order and she nods. She turns and bumps into someone, Zayn. He looks at her with a look in his eyes and she looks back at him the same way.
"Gigi-" She doesn't let him finish and walks past him looking down. He turns and looks at her walking away from him and sighs heavily.
"What was that?" I ask him.
"Nothing." He sighs and rubs his eyes. "Mr. Adams wants to talk." He says and walks back inside. I look at the girl that walked away and then at the door through which Zayn walked in.
Something happened between them and I should make Zayn tell me the truth. I walk inside the conference room and see Zayn talking to Mr. Adams. When he notices me, he says,
"Okay, Mr. Horan. I accept your offer. We'll reduce the price so people can afford it." He says and I smirk in satisfaction.
"Okay, then. I'll sign them." I say and sit on my chair. His assistant places a few papers in front of me and I read them once again before I Sign them. hand the papers and shake his hand.
"Hope I will see the plans and procedures soon," I say.
"Sure, Sir. We'll get back to you in two weeks." Mr. Adams replies. "Thank you." He says and collects his papers and leaves the room along with his assistant. I turn to Zayn.
"Well, it went better than I expected it to go." He smiles at me.
“What's up with you and the chick?" I ask him directly and I think he's caught off guard by my question. He furrowed his eyebrows.
"What do you mean?" He asks back.
"You know what I mean." I sit on my chair. "It feels like something happened between the two of you.” I pull out my phone and check if there are any calls or texts. There are none. I sigh and turn back to My best friend. "What is it, mate?" I asked him again.
"I kissed her." He admits. "She works here as a marketing manager and worked as my assistant for a few months. I got attracted to her and slowly I started liking her and then...I kissed her." He continues.
"She didn't kiss you back?" I ask him.
"She did." He says and sighed, sitting on his chair and drinking water from his bottle.
"Then? What's wrong? You both like each other and would look great together. So what's the problem?" I ask.
"She saw me kiss Perrie the next day." He rubs his temples. I raise my eyebrows at him. "I didn't mean to kiss her, Perrie, I mean. It just happened and Gigi saw that before I could push Perrie away. And now she thinks I am an ass."
"Explain it to her," I say. "Let her come back with my coffee, and I'll let you talk to her," I say and he nods his head. A few minutes later the girl enters and without glancing at Zayn, she places my coffee on the table. "Miss?" I ask.
"Hadid." She replies.
"Miss Hadid, thank you for the coffee. But I need you to stay here and listen to my friend's explanation." I ordered.
"I don't-" She starts but I cut her off.
"It's an order," I say and my phone rings. It's Liam. "You both talk, I need to take this call." I turn to Zayn. "After this, I'll leave," I say and walk out of the conference hall. I answer Liam.
"Liam? Is Lucia okay?" I ask him.
"Nope," He breathes. "She isn't. When I reached her house, she was in the kitchen, lying on the floor, unconscious.” He explains and my heart falls into my stomach.
