I left the castle. Then, since I knew Helena was in danger, I changed myself into a bat and flew to Duke Firebury’s castle. I changed into human form again three feet from the gate. When I knocked, the guards eyed me suspiciously.
I didn’t have time for this, so I shouted, “I need to meet with your Alpha. It is about life and death!”
“What is it about?”
“It is about your Luna! She is in danger.”
In a minute, the gate opened, and the guard accompanied me to go inside. I waited in the warm living room.
Then, Ethan Cross, Duke Firebury, immediately met me. He frowned when he saw me. “Victoria?”
“Helena is in danger. She is in Fire Shadow Castle right now. Constantine wanted to rape her. Fortunately, I could stop him, but he chased me away. You must hurry!”
“You can stay here. I’ll go with my Beta.”
“No! I will go with you. We will find the location faster since I know where he places Helena. You must hurry!”
That was when a phone rang. Duke Firebury took the phone and answered immediately, “Freya? Calm down.” He was silent for a while, then stared at me. “I see. I will go to save Helena. Please don’t worry!” Then he stared at me. “It’s from Freya, Helena’s mother. She told me I needed to save Helena. Let’s go now!”
Then Red, Duke Firebury’s man, nodded. “Let’s go.”
Duke Firebury, the Alpha, held Red’s hand, then my hand. In a second, we teleported in front of Fire Shadow Castle, near the bushes there.
The duke looked at the gate and Fire Shadow Castle surrounding it. “How can we enter the castle?”
“I usually go through the front door. But it was before Constantine kicked me out.” I sighed. “He has been crazy!”
“Is there any way to go inside with no one seeing us?”
I was quiet, considering the alternative. “Maybe we can gamble.”
“Meaning?”
“Constantine’s head servant, Newburry, is good to me. Maybe he will allow me to go inside. Then I may find a way to let you in.”
The duke shook his head. “It can place you in danger.” He stared at me. “Also, don’t you love my brother?”
I looked elsewhere. “Yes, but my love is worth nothing for him. The important thing for him is power. Helena is his way to get it.”
The duke pointed at the castle with his chin. “We won’t try it because someday, Constantine’s eyes will be opened. So you shouldn’t jeopardize your chance to be with him again.”
“Thank you, your grace.” I bent my head.
“Just call me Ethan.” Then he glanced at Red. “I will shape-shift to go inside. It may help to move faster.”
“You can try to teleport yourself, then both of us will find a way to get inside. Since if three of us teleported inside, it would be too striking.”
Ethan nodded. “I’ll go first.” Then he disappeared in a second.

~ Helena ~
It was cold here. Though the blanket was thick, I couldn’t sleep. Maybe I should try to learn how to use the magic. The fog showed again when Constantine wanted to rape me. Was it my magic? But how to release my power? How to do it?
What should I do? I tried to remember Mom Freya’s sacrifice to raise me though we had no blood relation, then my parents’ sacrifice so I could live. I wept, but then the fog appeared before me.
I blinked. How to make the fog do what I asked? That was the big question. Then I whispered, “Fly!”
Suddenly, the fog surrounded me and lifted my body upward. Did I do that? Then I said, “Down!” The mist went down, and I was back on the blanket again.
Since the bathroom was cold, I said, “Warm!”
The fog was getting thicker and blanketed me. Later, I grinned. It was amazing! The question remained: how to make the fog appear before me? Then a crazy thought crossed my mind. Could I talk to the mist? I shrugged. If I didn’t try, I wouldn’t know.
So, I asked the fog, “Hey, fog, how to make you show up every time I need you?”
The fog didn’t reply. Okay, I felt dumb right now. It was fog. For sure, it couldn’t talk. But then, my mind reminded me of when Mom Freya was healed, when I could finally escape from Constantine’s rape, then now when I could fly, went down, and got warmer. It started from the heart. So, I wonder if my heart was the key to everything.
I closed my eyes. “Fog, you can disappear now.” When I opened my eyes again, the fog was nowhere to be found. Then I took a deep breath. “Fog, please show yourself now.”
The fog surrounded me in no time. Later, I smiled. It seemed I got it. But then, could I only say it in my mind? Then I tried it. ‘Fly!’
The fog lifted my body, and I nodded. ‘Thank you, fog. Return me to the floor, please.’
It followed my order, and I was on the blanket again in no time.
‘Okay, thank you, fog. I want to sleep right now. See you tomorrow. You may rest too.’
Then the fog vanished in a second. I was happy that I could control the mist. So, I patted the pillow and laid my head on it. However, before I could sleep, suddenly I heard a click.
I opened my eyes, but nothing happened. I might only imagine it. Then I closed my eyes again.
But then the door opened. “Well, well, well, princess. Why did you sleep in the bathroom?”
It was Constantine! Oh, no! What should I do?
He grabbed my waist and kissed my forehead. “You will sleep with me tonight. No delay anymore.”
“No!”
