For the next year everything went great and we continued as if everything is normal.
Today we are all going to the Red River Pack which is right by the beach. The entire family is going because I wanted to spend some of my last days that I may have left right by the beach. I told my parents that the reason to coming here was because I think my mate is going to be there. We have had outsider packs come to our home base in order to find my mate but to no avail. So when they heard my guess, they were very eager to agrees to go there.
I couldnt stop bouncing my leg in the car on the way as I was so excited to see the ocean as this was going to be a first for me. As we arrived in Red River's territory, we drove towards their beautiful pack house. Behind the pack house you could see the beach right behind it. Once the car stopped I immediately jumped out and speedwalked straight to the beach. I laughed as I felt the sand under my feet and the waves brushing against my skin. How lovely!
I could hear my name being called but I completely ignored it as I wanted to enjoy my time in the sea just having fun.
Once I finally got out of the water, Oscar came towards me with with a towel and quickly wrapped me up. "Canavis! What were you thinking? You could get more sick, think about your actions before jumping into situations. " He shouted. "I am sorry Oscar but it was so pretty I just had to jump in" he just sighed and just carried me inside to put me in the guest bed.
As he is carrying me through this amazing house, I take a good look at the beautiful house before me and I was in complete aww.
"Wow! This house is so huge and beautiful, I mean I love the colour combination as well as the furniture because everything is evenly placed out." I stopped once I realized that I was rambling, I must be super nervous.
Oscar was ever so gentle with me as if he fears that he will break me into prices making me annoyed once again as he does this a lot. "Big Brother," I goaned. "You're doing it again, look I'll be fine."
Oscar didn't say anything but smiled and kissed my forehead. "Go and rest, you'll met the pack tomorrow. I'll bring you dinner to you, but rest little one." I sigh but nod my head in agreement.
I slept for hours on end but got awoken by a strong scent, the smell of the woods with mint was in the air. For some odd reason I felt as if I needed to go towards the smell and identify the source.
Quickly I hoped out of bed. I noticed that the sun is just beginning to set but hurried off to find the owner of that lovely scent. I found myself wandering halls that I've never known but looked as if I did. Then I came in front of a door. The scent was overwhelming and i knew that they had to be behind this door. So being the polite and kind person I am, I happened to just barge right in without knocking.
On the other side of the door my eyes were locked on a green eyed male with black hair, 'Mate.' I failed to notice the woman on top of him until I heard her shriek in embarrasment making me quickly shut the door. That was not what I was expecting at all and definitely not the way that I wanted to meet my mate. I walked a few hallways just trying to find my room but before I knew it I realized that I had no clue in where I was going. So I ended up breaking down and crying in the middle of the hallway.
The male with green eyes was my mate, my one and only chance of survival but he was already involved with another woman. I was hoping that he would have been waiting for me like I have for him.
I heard fast heavy footsteps and turned to see that it was the man with green eyes. He looked like a mess but considering what he was just doing minutes ago, you can't blame the man. His eyes were filled with emotions but not the ones I would have thought to have seen, instead of regret, sadness and pain, his eyes were filled with madness, anger and disgust.
"Argggg, why did I have to get a pathetic mate like you. I don't want to even look at you, yet alone get to know you. Ha I bet you are an Omega, a worthless dumb animal who cannot compare to Lidia. I mean look at your body, you barely hack enough meat on your bones. So not only are you an Omega but an anorexic, suicidal one as well. Well whoever you are I, Adrian Coast, Future Alpha of the Red River Pack reject you, whoever you are, to be my mate and future Luna of River Lines Pack. You are weak and pathetic, my pack doesn't need that to me my mate."
And then he stormed off. Probably to go back to where he came from, to that lady of his while I stayed seated in this position frozen while tears overflowed from my eyes out as my heart broke into a billion of pieces.
That day, somehow I managed to get back to my room. My eyes were red and dry from the overflow of emotions, yet my body felt so incredibly weak. This is probably due to the rejection by my so called 'mate'.
Oscar came in to check up on me about an hour after my return. Once he saw my puffy red eyes, I could see his facial reactions turn angry yet he didn't push me to say anything. He just stayed by my side, showing that he was there for me which was something that I really needed.
I haven't been able to gather enough strength to do anything by myself and still have yet to met the Alpha and Luna. But now who I know who my mate is, I have been extremely cautious in meeting them because he might be there.
I staying huddled in bed for about a week. Everyone felt worried for me and had the Pack doctor come to visit me in my room later this afternoon.
Oscar has been helping me the most along with some of the female pack members. Henry has been around along with my parents but my parents don't visit much as mom and dad are mostly looking after my new baby brother Carter Redbourne which I don't mind. I had the honor of naming him and I chose Carter.
Anyways, as I was lost in thought the doctor appeared with the Alpha, Luna, and Adrian along with a girl I didn't recognised showed up. I am a least a little glad that Adrian didnt show up with the Lidia chick he was with earlier. I sat up and showed no emotion on my face but an empty smile.
"Hello Alpha and Luna" I coughed but continued to act like nothing happened, "I didn't know you would want to come a see someone as weak as me."
I say throwing Adrian's words back at him but received no reaction.
The Luna just gave me a sad smile, "do not speak of such things, you are stronger than anyone I know. I came here to check up on you and finally greet the mysterious Canavis Redbourne. Your brother has been talking alot about you. " I smile and nodded in thanks.
The girl on Adrian's side steps up and smiles. "Hi, my name is Storm Waters. I'm the Beta's daughter and your brothers mate, hopefully we could be friends." I smiled at her, "Finally big brother has found his mate. He would moan and groan that he doesn't have his mate and I'll always told him that the longer he waited, the more fantastic his mate will be. As always I was right but I hope you can keep in control of him because sometimes he can be annoying."
Storm blushes and laughs, "I'll try my best."
I point at Oscar, "You are such a big meanie not telling me about your mate. Now grab her hand and spend some time with her, I'll be fine. I won't go anywhere soon plus she is my new bestie, I'm doing this in an act of kindness and to get away from you. " Oscar laughs for the first time in ages and salutes me, "Yes little sister but be warned that I will enjoy every second of my time." Then my brother grabs Storms hand and takes her out but not before she looks at me and I wink giggling.
The Alpha speaks up, "Well then, I should introduce my son, Adrian Coast." I look at Adrian with a fake smile on, "hello Adrian, sorry that we haven't met but my name is Canavis RedBourne, the only daughter of Alpha RedBourne. It is nice to met you."
Adrian just looks shocked but displays a blank face and nod, "Same here."
The doctor comes to me and kindly ask the Alpha, Luna and Adrian to leave as he needed to examine me and everyone left willingly. Adrian however looked like he was about to argue but then suddenly sighed and left.
The doctor spoke, "Hi Canavis, my name is Dr. Green. I've heard that your unwell?" I nod and say, "yes but I've all got cancer so I'm used to it." He nods in shock.
He does a few tests and then spoke to me in a grave face, "Canavis, it seems that the cancer in your body has gotten worse and has spread throughout the majority of your body. Your body is started to shut down on its self. It will be lucky for you to survive three days at the most. I wish there was something I could do to slow the process but it is out of my hands."
My eyes widen in shock, "how is that possible? I had at least year still left, how could it just get decreased to three days." The doctor shrugs, "I'm very sorry but these things happen commonly that a doctor could have possible gotten the timing wrong or either you've gotten rejected but I with your case I highly doubt that. I'll take my leave now so you can have a moment to yourself." He bowed then leaves.
So this had to happen because of Adrian's actions, why did he have to reject me?
Adrian's P.O.V (Point of view)
I walked out of my mates room just feeling so disgusted with myself. I knew that my words were going to hurt her but i didnt think that she was going to get sick. I was just trying to protect her, from me.
She doesn't know that rejecting her is for her own good. If she was to be here by my side, all I'll do is break her heart or even worst. I know about the reputation I have made by being who I am, many would come after her to try to get me to break.
She deserves better than that. She deserves to have fun and maybe someday raise a family but it breaks me that it cant happen with me. I regret all the words that I said to her but I had to, I......... had to.
Canavis, I'll never forget her lovely name for as long as I shpuld live. All I want is for her to be in my arms right now while I caress her check and tell her how gorgoeous she is and how I never want to leave her side.
But that can never happen.
Canavis, I'm sorry for everything that I've done to you but I'm doing this in order to protect you for the evil that lie near. I loved you from the moment I saw you even if timing was extremely off.
I love you Canavis, I always will.

No one knows that today is my last day and I want it to remain like that.
Everybody is laughing, smiling and I've been moving around in a wheelchair that is electric. I've written letters to everyone and they lay on my bed all expect Adrian's which I am leaving under his door when I know for sure that he is not in.
Hours pass and I could feel the energy I had slowly leaving my body telling me that it is now time. Once Adrian had left for an errand, I quickly place it under his door before zooming off. I went to find Carter and kiseed his forehead.
I zoomed off outside by myself and went as close I could to the beach but the sand is in my way making my wheelchair basically useless.
I made sure to wear my favourite dress but no shoes. I slowly began lifting myself up from my wheelchair and wobbly walk towards the beach. I couldnt go far so I sat down with my knees up and the waves lapping at my feet while watching the sun beginning to set.
"Beautiful" i whisper and someone behind me says, "Yes you are." I blushed knowing the comment was from my mate Adrian.
"What are you doing here?" I whisper still looking at the as is slowly sets making the sky look beautiful. Adrian chuckles darkly, "I came here for you. I want to say sorry for everything I've said and I was being selfish. I wanted you from the start but things about my past got in my way. Can we please start over again and pretend that it didn't happen? Start off like real mates." As he was talking, he didn't know that my heart was slowing down and I was getting weaker.
"I wish we had that option, I really do" I say as blackness began to cloud my vision and I fall back no longer strong enough to stay up.
Adrian rushes to me with tears racing down his face, "what's happening? Don't worry the pack doctor is coming just stay with me." His voice cracked, "Stay with me Canavis, please."
"I loved you from the start, you know even when you said those horrible things to be because I wanted you, my mate. This is good bye Adrian."
I said as people began to rush out of the house and towards me but it was too late, as the darkness has already taken me away but a smile remained on my peaceful face.

Adrian stood at the beach alone, the place where he lost his mate to something that he could have stopped. He looked down at his hand which held the letter written by Canavis that he never opened but today he will.
The RedBourne family left with her body and never came back except for Oscar who only came to get Storm and say one final good bye to his sister at the beach.
Adrian opens the envelope and takes the letter out and begins to read the words written by his mate only to him.
Dear my sweet mate, Adrian
I'm writing this to you because you deserve to know what you have lost. I was always what I was now, I was a happy smiling girl. Favourite of my father and mother as I was the only daughter and I was happy for my life. When first met you, you ruined me as you said those words that struck me like lightling. This must have been the moon goddesses wish for our relationship and even as this pain may seem never ending, we must respect her wishes. Please know that no matter what I will love you forever and a peice of you will forever remain here in my heart. I want you to enjoy every moment of your life and live on for me. Smile on and don't worry about me.
We'll meet each other again but hopefully not until you're lived you whole life.

Adrian looked down at the letter and cried for the mate he could never have again. "Canavis, if you can heard me. I promise that I'll live my life and smile even in the hardest time because you deserve that. I can wait until my time here is done to see you again. As my punishment for what I did to you, I will wait. I love you Canavis. " At that moment the wind gave a slight breeze and gently grazed Adrian's ear and it seem like he could hear Canavis say that she loves him too.
I'll wait for you Canavis, that was the last thought Adrian held in his mind before heading back inside of the house.
