Chapter Personal servant

Klaus

Since childhood, I was trained hard to be a strong Alpha in the future. Besides my education and training, I had time for nothing, not even to think about my mate or see girls. For sure, I had seen girls but I was too depressed about the fact that I was betrothed to someone who wasn’t my mate and unlike other werewolves, I won’t get my mate.

The moment she stepped outside, my heart skipped a beat seeing her exhilarated smile. Scarlett had worn a black lacy dress that reached her thighs. I was enchanted to see her, she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen and I could stand here to see her forever.

I could feel my heart going wild, for a few minutes, it thumped in my chest and I could feel the beatings of my heart in my ear. As she walked closer to me, my heart slowed down as if it was doing some kind of slow dance.

“Hello,” she muttered, waving her hand in front of me to awaken me from the best feeling. “What are you doing here?” She asked though her face was flushed and she was pressing her lips hard to stop the smile emerging on her face.

I wished we could be together and I could express my feelings to her instead of being a jerk to her.

“This is going to be one of the best nights of our lives,” Todd growled with joy, hopping with excitement.

“I want to forget everything for a night and want to live this one moment with her without being worried about tomorrow,” I retorted to my wolf.

Extending my hand, I cleared my throat, “ahem. The club won’t allow any single person to enter as they’ve held a party tonight, um, J…Jenna has asked me to partner up with you and she’ll be paired up with Marcus.” Executing my plan, I felt a little nervous for the very first time.

“She’s the only girl who can make you feel nervous,” Todd smirked and I scowled at him though he wasn’t wrong.

“Why? I’ll be paired with Marcus,” Scarlett insisted in bitterness. Her upper lip curled up in irritation which made me feel hurt and furious at the same time.

“Again, she’s the only girl who can make you feel so many things at the same time,” my arse-ole olf commented, showing off his nasty smirk.

“You’re a part of me, you’re my wolf. You are supposed to take my side, you should be hurt that she likes Marcus more than us,” I reprimanded him.

Todd giggled and fake gagged in my mind. “The credit goes to you, fucking bastard.”

Ignoring his cursing words and sarcasm, I focused on my mate. “Do you hate me that much?” My eyes were lowered as I asked if she would say yes, it would break my heart and I won’t be able to handle the pain.

“Let’s head to the club, then. We’re getting late,” she changed the topic, fidgeting with the chain of her bag.

At least, she didn’t say yes and I was utterly grateful for that. Opening the door of my Porsche for her, I extended my hand in hope that she would accept my hand this time. Scarlett licked her lips and gave her hand to me before sitting on the passenger seat.

I could feel her fingers shivering, she was nervous. Turning to the side, I sat on the driver's seat and started the engine of my car. She placed her head on the window, avoiding looking at me.

“If you want, I can start the music,” I offered, starting a conversation. She nodded her head slightly with a small smile and I started the radio. Taylor Swift’s ‘we are never ever getting back together’ song played and it killed the vibe but she started singing the lyrics loudly, enjoying that song.

Holy crap. I was trying to get her trust and make her feel comfortable with me but this song gave me the exact reverse vibe. Stopping the song, I connected Bluetooth to my phone to play a better song.

“What the actual fu-k! I love that song,” she complained, folding her hands.

“But I don’t,” I rolled my eyes and heaved a depressed sigh. “You’re a fan of Taylor Swift, aren’t you?”

She shook her head as yes proudly. “Okay. I’ll play her song, then.” I offered a polite smile, hoping that she wouldn't be mad at me. I played Taylor’s ‘Love Story’ song and peered at her.

My mate was trying hard not to blush and when she caught me staring at her with a stupid wide smile on my face, she turned her head back to the window.

“Um, you can sing along with her,” I gestured to the infotainment.

“I don’t remember the lyrics,” she simply said, not bothering to look at me.

I avoided arguing with her, didn’t want to spoil our mood and create any scene. Though I wanted her to look at me and smile, not be silent or sad.

After a while, she asked, “how long will it take to reach the club?” The pain was clearly evident in her beautiful blue orbs. Something was bothering her but she wasn’t saying it.

“Half an hour,” I replied to her shortly. “If you don’t want to go, we can cancel the plan. You don’t seem comfortable.”

Scarlett took a deep breath before fixing her gaze on me. “You,” she uttered furiously but stopped midway. “Yes, I’m not comfortable with many things and that’s why I need to go to the club to blow off some steam and forget about the people who keep messing with me by their actions.”

“You moron, she’s pointing at you. The way you treat her, she’s confused if you want her or not,” Todd snarled, explaining it to me and I was grateful to him but didn’t show it. Otherwise, he would be cocky.

I would clear all her confusion tonight and I’ll tell her everything before she gets to know from someone else and things get messier.

We spent the rest of the drive in silence and I played Taylor’s songs only to impress her. It would take a lot of time and effort to court her but I’ll get her anyhow. She was mine and I wasn’t going to give up on her.

“There, you are,” Jenna jumped with joy, holding Scarlett’s hands in hers. “You’re looking so gorgeous and hot,” my sister whispered into her ear which I heard and couldn’t help but smile. The perks of being an Alpha werewolf though it had many cons.

“Goddess. You’re looking absolutely flawless,” Marcus remarked, checking her out from tip to toe.

My cousin couldn’t behave more inappropriately. “You fuc-ing back off, Cuz,” I mind-linked him.

“Why don’t you do it on my behalf?” He replied with a nasty smirk.

“Let’s go to the club, now,” I suggested, offering my hand to her and she took it before rolling her eyes.

“As soon as we enter the club, I’m leaving your hand and joining Jenna’s company,” she said, a frown forming on her face.

I made a lame excuse, praying to the Moon Goddess that it would work, “if they’ll see you wandering around without a partner, they might kick you out and blame you for tricking them.”

“Who do you think I’m?.” She pouted, shaking her head in disbelief. “A little girl? Who’ll believe your such a fake excuse.”

Scratching the back of my neck, I glimmered embarrassedly, caught guard off by my mate. “Alright, but can we make a deal? I know I’ve made mistakes in the past but I want to fix them and um, I’m ready to be your personal servant for tonight as punishment. Whatever you need, you just need to order me and I’ll bring that for you. Deal?”
