“You are going too far with this Jeremy-” Ebeneezer started but Jeremy cut him off, standing straight.
“If you were not a cripple, this might not have happened, this change of ownership without you knowing about it, you can also blame this on your precious daughter in law standing beside you.”
Ebeneezer’s head tilted to the side and his eyes fell on Cheryl’s feet as she shuffled away from the bed, he was only barely trying to control the anger building up inside of him because he knew that no matter how angry he got, it would not move him out of this bed.
“Every member of the board had approved of it as well,” Jeremy went on, walking away from the bed towards the door. “Nobody wants a cripple as leader when he can’t even fight and hold his ground.”
“I still hold ultimate power to the Aberus.” Ebeneezer said, stopping Jeremy just as he got to the door. “You will stay away from that woman if you love her enough to want to keep her alive.”
Jeremy gritted his teeth and clenched his jaw, squeezed the door knob and replied to his father without looking at him. “If you ever threaten me with Donna’s life then you can say goodbye to your position as head of the Aberus.”
Ebeneezer laughed heartily at what Jeremy just said. “Now that is something you cannot do, even while I am confined in this room.”
Jeremy stood by the now open door, one hand on the door knob as he turned back to face his father, a wicked and sinister smile playing on his face.
“Already working on it old man.” he chuckled. “Have a swell time with your daughter in law.”
Cheryl was quick to move the instant Jeremy was out the door, she didn’t want to stay with Ebeneezer for obvious reasons, the man had just lost his company to his son and the blame somehow did managed to fall on her.
A painful reminder that he had lost his wife and was now a widower, an had also lost coordination of his body from the waist down - that, Cheryl knew she played a very big role in.
She shot out the door, following Jeremy as he walked back towards his room.
“Jeremy!” she shouted his name, following from his father’s room into his, getting angrier at he fact that he was blatantly ignoring her. She entered into his room after him, slamming the door shut after her.
“You think Donna is your hope to having an heir?” Cheryl chuckled painfully. “Then let me promise you this, Jeremy, you will never have her.” she said that in reference to his daughter but Jeremy, unaware of what she had meant, thought she spoke of him never having Donna and he turned to face her, a soft smile playing on his face.
“I can understand that you are pained,” Jeremy said making his way to her slowly, one threatening step at a time as he twirled his suit in hand then threw it back over his shoulder, allowing it hang there from his middle finger. “But do not make the mistake of threatening me, Cheryl, I can be a very dangerous person to you.”
Cheryl chuckled and took a step towards him. “Oh, I know, but you have no idea how mad I can get, Jeremy. You have absolutely no fucking idea.”
“You’ve always been mad, that is no surprise.” he turned away from her and walked towards his working table in the room but then stopped as he remembered something and then he faced her with a smile which threw her off.
“Now that you are here, I am beginning to feel a little thirsty.”
As he said that his fangs dropped and his smile widened, flashing his pearly whites to her. He saw the fear in his eyes and saw her turn quickly to open the door to run out of the room, but he was faster.
In a blur he had her pinned to the door, her chest pressing into the wooden frame, he was quick to grab her hands and pin them behind her, pressed into her lower back.
“Jeremy don’t do this!” she squirmed and struggled against him. “Jeremy let me go!”
“Hush now, don’t resist me darling.” he smirked as his fingers brushed her hair out of the way, exposing her neck. “It will only hurt a bit.”
Her mind swam with thoughts, she didn’t want Jeremy to drink from her because he was not merciful and he would be sure to drain her. She could not move her arms no matter how much she tried, Jeremy had the upper hand here. She looked down at her foot, lifted it and then with all the might she could muster, brought it down on his foot.
Jeremy howled out in pain and his grip on her arms loosened. Cheryl seized the opportunity to shove him back so she could have a little bit of space to open the door because it swung inwards.
She got the door open and had already taken a step outside when Jeremy seized her by the hair and roughly yanked her back inside.
He slammed the door as Cheryl fell ungracefully on the floor, scraping her elbows. She whimpered from that pain and then screamed when she felt Jeremy’s foot on hers, he placed most of his weight on her foot.
She snapped her head around and up to look at him as he towered over her and her cries faded on seeing his face.
His fangs were very prominent now and his once black pupils had completely changed to a bright red. She feared.
“Jeremy please just let me go.” she begged.
“You seem to always forget Cheryl, that you are the wife here and I,” he pressed harder on her foot, causing her to shut her mouth tightly, trapping the scream in as her head tilted backward. “…and I am the husband, whom you should respect, listen and obey!”
He unbuttoned his shirt and undid the cuffs, took it off his body and tossed it aside, all the while adding pressure on her foor and never taking his eyes off her as somehow and wickedly, he enjoyed watching her in pain.
He smiled.
