/Samantha/
Henry greeted me with a "Hey" as I climbed into his car first thing in the morning.
I gave him a peck on the cheek and said, "Hey, yourself," after which he grinned, and I felt my heart begin to race.
Just tell him right now, will we? "Err Henry, I need to tell you something, but I don't want you to get irritated or yell at me or anything else, is that something we both agreed upon?" I inquired while fidgeting with my hands on my lap out of nervousness.
"Ok Samantha I swear I won't get angry, but what's the matter?" He questioned, and I could sense concern in his voice as he spoke; he had just pulled into the school's parking lot, but we hadn't moved to get out of the car. He had already warned me to keep my distance from him, so I didn't say anything to the effect of "Oh crap, he is going to go wild."
"Samantha?" he whispered as he took my hand and gently rubbed the back of my hand with the thumb of his other hand. "Samantha?"
I immediately said while glancing out the window, "Ok, well, I went out with Blake Chambers last night and I'm seeing him again tomorrow," and I continued to look at Blake. I grimaced as he took a short, quick breath in between his teeth, and I braced myself for him to blow his top.
You went out with him, didn't you? He hushed me and said, "Ok, that was not what I expected." When I looked over at him, he appeared to be in such distress that I almost lost it. I maneuvered myself into position to sit on his lap, encircled my arms around his neck, and pressed my forehead on his.
"I'm sorry, I know you don't like him but he was actually really sweet to me," I said as I looked at his face and saw that his eyes were tightly closed, his hands were clenched into fists on the seat, and his jaw was clenched tight. "I'm sorry," I said again, "I know you don't like him but he was actually really sweet to me."
Because he didn't say anything, I reached down and wrapped his arms around my waist. He didn't release his grip around my waist, but the fact that he still had his arms around me was a positive indication in my book. I said with a grin, "It was enjoyable, and I had a good time."
He suddenly opened his eyes and moved his head away from mine. "Did you sleep with him, Samantha?" he demanded angrily. "Did I sleep with him?" I whispered in amazement. Is he joking around here?
"How the devil can you ask me a question like that? Henry, for heaven's sake, it was only the first date! Is that the actual opinion that you have of me? That I'm a lowlife whore?" I inquired as he opened the door to his room, climbed out, and stormed off angry. The damn boy will sleep with everyone or anything that moves, and yet he has the gall to judge me.
Before he seized my hand and forced me to halt, I heard footsteps approaching from behind me. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that, I know you wouldn't have, it's just that he's such a player Samantha, that's all he wants you for," he added while frowning angrily. "It's just that he's such a player Samantha," she said, "I know you wouldn't have."
Oh, so the only thing I'm any good at is having sex, is that correct? I yelled at him while shaking my head in shock and dismay. Now that we had people stopping what they were doing to listen to us yelling at each other, we began to attract a crowd.
"You are well aware that is not what I consider! But he will put his faith in me!" When he shouted in my direction, it caused me to recoil in response to the sound of his voice.
"Henry, what the heck are you doing? Is it really so difficult to understand that someone could want to be with me because of who I am? You suppose there's nothing else I might be excellent at, right?" I was hurt that he could think of me in that way and asked him about it.
"Samantha! For God sake! You should know by now that I adore you just the way you are; how in the hell could you say something like that? However, he is not like you; he is a great deal older than you, and he is only going to be interested in one thing "He stated this as he pulled on my hand, attempting to coax me into standing next him.
It was ridiculous, but I refuse to be the one to compromise; I hadn't committed any wrongdoing, so I kept my ground and forced him to go closer to me. He moved closer, put his arms around me, and kissed the top of my head as he did so. He muttered in my ear, "I'm sorry Samantha bear I am, I didn't mean it like that, please, I'm sorry, I just, I don't like that person, I don't trust him," causing me to shudder as tingles raced down my body. "I just, I don't like that guy, I don't trust him," he said.
"Well, Henry, you don't have to like him, but you can put this grudge against him aside for me, can't you?" "Well, you don't have to like him Henry. I questioned him in a hushed voice while encircling him with my arms and burying my face in his neck.
He continued to kiss my temple while he spoke, and then he sighed and whispered, "Samantha, I'd do anything for you; I'd do everything for you."
Jerry yelled as he waved his hands in the direction of the school, "Shows over, come on everyone can get to class!" I drew back to look at Henry, and he smiled a weak dejected smile at me. I smiled back, grabbed his hand, and dragged him into the school.
The morning was really strange; everyone seemed to be interested in Henry and asked me questions about him, such as how long we had known each other and how we had first met, among other peculiar topics. There were significantly more women than normal shooting me death glares, but none of the guys asked me out.
"Susan what's going on today? Why are all of the girls acting as though they want to murder me much more than they normally do?" When I looked around the canteen, I saw a room full of people giving each other hostile looks.
"Henry declared his undying love for you in the car park, so they're all jealous," she said with a giggle as she continued. "I heard the cheerleaders talking in the bathrooms thinking of ways they can get revenge on you, and at this point I think they're actually talking about slipping some poison into your drink."
"WHAT?" I let out a scream as I looked around at everyone, "He did not profess his eternal love for me in any way! Jeez! We're pals! I don't see why everyone is making such a big deal about Henry and I." I enquired while shaking my head and making a grimace.
He murmured to me while he was placing his arms around me from behind, "Henry and I what?"
"You told her you loved her and would do anything for her, and someone taped it on their phone, so of course the whole school has seen it," Susan said casually, shrugging her shoulders. "All the girls are hating on Samantha because you told her you loved her and would do anything for her," Susan explained.
Henry just grinned and gave me a hug before saying, "Oh well, it's true she knows that anyhow," as he kissed my neck and started to suck on it. I let out an audible gasp, and he responded by laughing and giving me a squeeze.
I gave him an elbow to the stomach and then laughed as I drew away from him. "Don't you dare mark me again, Henry Williams or else," I threatened while attempting to look menacing.
He chuckled once more and rolled his eyes before saying, with a mocking tone, "I'm so terrified of you Samantha bear, so scared." He grabbed my hand and pulled me to his table while making the comment.
"So, just how long have the two of you actually been dating?" Maxwell, a pretty slutty cheerleader, asked me the question while feigning a grin but clearly harboring a deep-seated hatred for me in her eyes.
"For the love of god and everything that is holy!" I sobbed while raising both of my hands in the air.
Henry leaned in to kiss the back of my hand, and as he did so, he murmured with a smirk, "Oh come on muffin, they're only inquisitive." I elbowed him in the ribs angrily in response.
"Will you just cease that!" I shouted angrily shaking my head at him. Since I sat down, he had been nothing but trouble. All throughout lunch, he had been acting the part of a doting boyfriend, stroking and kissing me, laughing and tickling me, and generally driving me crazy in the process. He wasn't contradicting anything, but rather making things even more complicated. Every time someone inquired as to whether or not he loved me, he simply responded in the affirmative.
He asked me in a joking manner while winking at me, "Stop what sweet cheeks?"
"Henry enough now honestly, you're starting to piss me off," I said as I pulled my hand out of his grasp. "You're starting to piss me off," I muttered.
"Ooo, did the lovers fight?" Daniel inquired with a sneer on his face.
"So are you two like going to be married?" Sonia inquired while twirling her hair over her index finger and gazing dotingly at Henry.
He whispered this to me as he tucked my hair behind my ear and stated, "Eventually, if it were up to me, I'd marry her tomorrow." My jaw dropped open, and frankly, if he doesn't start rejecting these f**king rumors as soon as possible, I'm going to give him a good kick in the perfect behind! That jerk is making things more worse for us!
Suddenly, my phone rang, and when I checked the caller id, I saw that it was Blake. I quickly stood up and flashed a grin before saying, "Excuse me" as I climbed down from the bench and walked away to get some space to myself.
When I took his call, he greeted me with "Hi, Jailbait."
"What are you doing calling me, and why are you phoning me? Aren't you supposed to be at work right now?" I answered while making an effort to avoid the looks that were coming from behind me.
"I'm at work, but I'm on my break, so I thought I'd phone and check how you slept," he remarked casually. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience."
"I actually had a pretty good night's sleep; how about you?" I inquired while wearing a grin.
"Honestly, not so good, I couldn't stop thinking about that kiss, it had me tossing and turning all night," he remarked teasingly, and I broke out laughing at his little innuendo. "Honestly, not so good," he continued, "I couldn't stop thinking about that kiss, it had me tossing and turning all night."
"Oh, really, it was that beneficial to you, is that right? Seeing as how a kiss is enough to keep you awake all night, you should just wait until you see what more I am capable of doing; I can really rock your world "I said it in a seductive manner.
He whimpered, "Jailbait, that's not fair," and groaned about it.
"Well, suck it up, stud, you wanted to date a kid so you can deal with the repercussions," I remarked while suppressing a giggle. "You wanted to date a minor so you can deal with the consequences."
He inquired with a hopeful tone, "Mmm, are you sure you won't be able to make it tonight?"
"I'm sure Henry and I have plans, but he is seriously pissin' me off at the time, so if he doesn't buck up his ideas then I will be free" "I'm sure Henry and I have plans, but he is seriously pissin' me off at the moment" When I said that, Henry wasn't looking at me; instead, he was frowning and glancing down into his lap. I was trying to give him a warning glare.
He inquired with a sense of wonder, "Yeah, what's he doing?"
When I got back to the bench, everyone was staring at me with wide eyes. I said, "Nothing, it's just a joke that's gone too far, that's all, listen I should go, I'll see you tomorrow night," and then I snapped my phone shut and walked back to it.
I got up and walked over to Henry, sat back down, and took his hand, gently squeezing it till he looked at me with a phony grin and teary eyes. "Could we have some more, please?" I pleaded with him, but all he did was nod and hold my hand again.
"So, can you tell me who that was on the phone?" Maxwell asked me while sneering at me, as if he thought I had been caught in the act of doing something dishonest.
"Blake Chambers," I responded with a shrug, and all the females at the table gasped. They immediately started inquiring about him and went on and on about how hot he is. Thank God, all conversation concerning Henry and I was long gone.
I looked over at Henry, who appeared to be in a great deal of pain, and I quickly wrapped my free arm around his waist and pressed up against him. He said, "I'm sorry, I'll stop now" as he exited the room.
I smiled honestly at him as he beamed at me and then I turned around and gave him a kiss on the cheek, saying, "I love you too, by the way." This caused my heart to melt.
"Is It Sweeter or Saltier?" Henry yelled out from the basement while he was shaking the two bags of popcorn.
I yelled out as I stood in front of my collection of movies, "Err, you chose; I don't mind." After deciding to watch The Final Destination, I took off my shirt and jeans and stood there in just my underwear. As Henry entered the room, the door suddenly opened again, and I bent over to grab my pajamas.
