Chapter 78

/Samantha/

As I turned my attention to the door that led to the hallway, I felt my breath catch in my throat. Have the cops taken custody of him? Would it be possible for me to just exit through the front door at this point? I was able to hear sounds of a brawl coming from the hallway, so I fumbled with the key and decided it was best for me to just leave the building. My hands were shaking so badly that it was impossible for me to get it in the lock despite my best efforts.

I heard someone shout just as the key was about to slide in.

"What the hell happened to her?"

I could feel the colour leaving my face as the blood in my veins became increasingly frigid. That was the sound of Henry speaking! I inserted the key into the lock so that I wouldn't have to search for the correct one again in the event that we needed to make a hasty getaway, and then I dashed to the door leading to the hallway so that I could find out what on earth he was doing in this room. I immediately begged that the police were also here; please don't let him have come here by himself, thank you very much!

When I got to the door, I saw Blake on the floor, and Henry was on top of him, straddling him, and punching Blake over and over again. Henry's face was contorted in a maniacal rage the entire time. Oh, dear God, this time he's going to get himself into some serious trouble!

"Henry!" I screamed at him in an attempt to stop him before he got too far, but he gave no indication that he was going to stop at all, and I started to get concerned for Blake's safety. It's possible that Henry was unaware that he was ill, that he mistook his actions for an attempt to cause me harm, or that he simply didn't care about the outcome of the situation.

Henry snapped his head up rapidly and peered at me with wide eyes while his body appeared to gradually relax. I managed a feeble smile in his direction as I realised that I had never seen him look that stunning before.

He reminded me of some sort of guardian angel. As he turned his attention to me, the expression of rage that had been on his face began to fade, and he began to smile in the corner of his mouth. When I glanced at him, I immediately felt a sense of calm wash over me. Because Henry was here, I knew that everything was going to be okay. When he was in close proximity to me, everything in the world seemed to run well, and I felt as though it had one more piece.

Blake pushed himself up, evidently taking advantage of Henry's distraction as he was forced back and slammed against the wall. Suddenly, Henry was thrown back and slammed against the wall. I let out another scream as Henry's head struck the wall with such force that it caused his eyes to close and he hissed through his teeth.

Oh, my goodness, he was harmed! My heart was pounding so hard that it felt like it may burst out of my chest; I couldn't bear to see him in pain, I just couldn't. I made an effort to sprint in his direction, but Blake, who was standing, prevented me from doing so.

"Williams, you are a little piece of $hit! What the devil are you trying to accomplish by being here? She doesn't want you anywhere near her anymore, so get the heck out of her sight!" Blake yelled as he grabbed the front of Henry's shirt, jerked him to his feet brutally, and slammed him into the wall once more. Henry was still on the ground.

I had a firm hold on Blake's arm as I tried to attract his attention in order to prevent him from hitting Henry. He cocked his head to the side and glared at me while doing so. He didn't just want to injure Henry; he wanted to kill him, and you could see it in his eyes. It terrified the very daylights out of me. He didn't just want to hurt Henry; he wanted to kill him. He had completely lost his mind and, for some reason, had placed all of the blame for the things that were going wrong in his life on Henry.

I was unable to stop the tears from streaming down my face as I pleaded with you, "Please don't."

Even though he was showing signs of fury by shaking his head and practically growling, he remained silent. He raised his hand and struck me hard across the face with the palm of his hand. My brain began to erupt with pain, which caused my eyes to start to tear up as I staggered against the wall feeling a little lightheaded.

Because my vision was a little foggy at the time, I wasn't able to see what happened next, but I was knocked down to the ground by something. A deafening bang and the sound of wood being broken came from the direction of my right. I managed to pull myself up onto my hands and knees and looked in the direction that the collision was coming from.

It was clear that Henry had recovered from the first shock of the blow to the head since he and Blake were now wrestling on the floor. It was dreadful to look at, not at all like when you see a fight on television or anywhere else; this was terrifying, and I could hear the noises of the strikes; each one seemed to echo through my mind, making me feel queasy.

Blake pushed him off of him and forced himself to stand up. He appeared to be a little shaky as blood poured from his nose and a cut was visible beneath his eye. Henry leapt up and charged him, throwing both of them over the top of the kitchen counter and strewing the floor with the plates and food that had been cooking while they continued to fight.

"Don't do that!" I shouted as I made my way into the kitchen on all fours. I couldn't stand the idea of Henry getting wounded, and despite the fact that it appeared as like he was going to come out on top, I despised it, and he was slightly hurting my heart in the process. I had no choice but to drag him out of this place while wringing my hands around his waist and crying on his shoulder.

They didn't pay me the slightest bit of attention as they yelled at each other and rained blow after blow down upon the faces and bodies of the person they were arguing with. I was startled when the door behind me suddenly smashed into the wall, and I heard footsteps coming up the corridor.

I had hardly enough time to look around before three individuals rushed past me into the kitchen and another person grabbed me about the waist and pulled me up to my feet. When I looked up at the man who was holding me, he was giving me a reassuring grin, and I noticed that he was wearing a uniform. As soon as I realised the cops had arrived, I could feel a sense of relief spread throughout my body.

They would enter Blake's chamber and determine that he required assistance; then, they would transport him to a different location and provide him with the necessary treatment.

The guy approached you and asked, "Are you okay, Miss?"

I nodded and leaned heavily on him as my legs began to feel like they were going to give up on me. When I turned around, I saw that the three police officers who had run into the kitchen had stopped what they were doing and were now looking at Blake and Henry, who were still fighting on the floor.

"Immediately come to a halt and stand up! Position yourself so that you are facing the wall and place your hands behind your head "It was commanded by one of them.

Oh my god, Henry is going to get himself into some serious trouble! But even so, it probably wouldn't be so terrible, would it? They would take into account the fact that Blake was already subject to the restraining order against him, and they would be aware that Henry was coming here to protect me, right? Because none of this was his fault, and because they had to take it into consideration, the most severe punishment he could receive for this would probably be a slap on the wrist. At least, I wished it would be.

Henry was on top of Blake, pinning him to the ground, and the two of them stopped their struggle. He looked up at the two officers who were standing above him and pointing what appeared to be Taser guns or something else in their direction. Henry gave a small nod before releasing his grip on Blake and gently rising to his feet.

I examined every nook and cranny of his face, and while he didn't appear to be in too much pain, he did have a split in his lip and a large red spot on his jaw that was most likely going to bruise. Aside from it, though, he appeared to be his usual flawless and attractive self, and I noticed a gradual decrease in my level of fear and panic. The officer, who was still supporting a significant portion of my weight, let me to relax against him, and I couldn't help but smile regretfully. Perhaps there was some silver lining to this cloudy situation after all; Blake was finally going to get the assistance that he so sorely required.

Henry proceeded to do as he was instructed and stepped over to the wall, spreading his legs apart and placing his hands on the back of his head. Blake managed to get himself up off the floor, and he most certainly appeared to be in a worse state than Henry had. My son was most certainly a badass. He grimaced as he stared at me and then shook his head before immediately leaning down and picking something up from the floor.
