Chapter Seduction failed

Nighttime came too quickly for the blonde haired she-wolf.

She was nervous, and you’d be too if you had decided to move onto someone who was intimidating in every sense of the word.

Aiyisha hadn’t seen him since noon when she had watched him practice, and that night, for the first time since Killian joined their pack, she didn’t have dinner with him. She needed to get ready— in every sense of the word if you know what I mean.

And so she took extra care to make sure that she applied the foul smelling paste one of the she-wolves had recommended to her all over her body— apparently, it got rid of all unwanted hairs, leaving everywhere smooth and neat. She bathed in a mixture of sweet smelling oils to get the foul smell off her body. Everything was fresh and clean by the time she was done— her body clothed in a lovely white dress, so tight and skimpy that even she found it surprising that she was still able to breath, her face smoothed and paled by powder, her lips coated a deep shade of red, one that her friend Aaliyah had assured her was definitely going to get Alpha Killian wherever she wanted him.

She was no prude when it came to these things after all… hell, she had been with her fair share of men, and so it came as a bit of a surprise for the she-wolf to discover that she was just as nervous as she was her first time.

The slender blonde waited until she was absolutely sure that everyone in the palace had gone to bed, and then she emerged from her room, ready to get her charge over and done with. She had a spare set of Killian’s keys in hand, so even if he had closed his door, that wasn’t going to stop her from her getting in.

Thankfully, his door was unlocked when she made it to his chambers, but with that observation came another worry.

What if he was awake?

You see, Aiyisha didn’t think herself capable of carrying out her plan if the intimidating Alpha was awake, but she steeled herself with determination and told herself that she was going to give it a try nonetheless.

And so she opened the door slowly and sneaked in, closing it behind her. Thankfully, he was fast asleep when she risked a glance at him, his intimidatingly handsome face adorably relaxed under sleep’s warm embrace.

The blonde head felt her confidence slowly seep back into her bones.

You can do this Aiyisha.

She partly felt like a creep staring the sleeping man down as he slept, and maybe she was, but her friends had assured her that this was the best time to approach a man whose feelings you weren’t particularly sure of… simply because, you had the upper hand in getting him to succumb to your wiles.

What could she say?

She wasn’t married, and they were… and so she was quite convinced that they knew exactly what they were talking about.

And so she took step after step, and each one led her closer and closer to her prey— yes, in this case she was a hunter, or better yet, a predator… yes, she rather liked this description better, seeing as, if things went as planned she’d be devouring him in no time.

She tentatively sat beside him on the bed, her fingers lightly caressing his sinewy bicep. Her heart thumped so loud, so fast against her ribcage that she could hear it in her ears… so loud that she was afraid that it would wake the Alpha up, but she continued, refusing to give up nor back down. She leaned in and began dotting, soft, light kisses against his arm, her heartbeat slowing to a normal rhythm when he moaned as she moved up to his neck, “Fuck, Kendra…” He whispered huskily.

Kendra?

Who was Kendra?

Aiyisha felt a slight pang of jealously, but she did her best to quell it, and continued kissing up his neck until finally, her lips connected with his. Her eyes fluttered close when he pulled her down to straddle him, and she sighed in contentment, kissing him until she reached out to caress his face and felt fur instead of skin. Her eyes opened in confusion and an involuntary scream left her lips at what she saw.

Killian woke up with a start, still in a confused daze. He didn’t understand, just a while ago he had been having the nicest dream about Kendra only to be interrupted by a scream and then see Aiyisha standing in his room, looking absolutely horrified.

Out of habit, his hands reached out to touch his face like he did every time someone looked at him with that same frozen look of horror, and then everything made sense from there. “What have you done?” He whispered softly, Maymunah’s words from the last time it happened ringing loud and clear in his head.

It won’t be easy turning you back the next time this happens.

Aiyisha stared at the monstrous Alpha, tears forming in her eyes.

She had done this.

“I’m so sorry, Killian… I had no idea this was going to happen, I should have talked to you about my intentions first—”

“Aiyisha—”

“Fuck I’m so stupid, now look at what I have done—”

“Aiyisha!” Killian raised his voice to snap her out of the mini panic attack she was having. It worked.

“This is not your fault. I should have told you about my curse… maybe then you wouldn’t have started this thing and gotten us here in the first place.” He said softly. “You know what? You can leave, this usually goes down in a while, but you’re going to have to promise me that you’ll not try anything like this again,” He lied, but the blonde she-wolf shook her head stubbornly. “It’s totally my fault, Killian… if only I hadn’t let my father and my friends get to me, this wouldn’t have happened to you. I’m not leaving you, let me stay until you’re back to normal.”

He looked at her with his cursed face, “You’re not scared?”

At first she was going to lie, but then she changed her mind, “I mean, I am… b-but I can handle myself just fine.” She sat beside him on the bed, “Do you mind telling me everything?” She whispered softly.

The Alpha shook his head in the negative. He didn't but for some reason he couldn’t bring himself to start the story. Talking about it just brought back the pain, caused him to relive it all over again—everybody he had lost— how he was just on the verge of losing himself… it was very hard to talk about it. But he needed to talk about this… h-he wanted to talk about it, and something, call it a gut feeling or instinct was telling him that he could trust her.

That he could open up to her.

And yet, they sat in silence for what seemed like ages before he finally began to tell her the full story.

By the time he was done, Aiyisha could say with a certainty that her faith in the gods had drastically diminished.

What Aphrodite had done to Killian and all the other Silvercrests who had lost their lives was just plain callous, vindictive and evil.

True, she had read of Aphrodite’s mean nature growing up, it had mesmerised her even, but she had always thought of it as some kind of myth. T-to be confronted with it this up close and personal… this face to face was a wakeup call that had her questioning her entire belief system.

And t-that Kendra woman.

Aiyisha did not know her, but she already felt so much hate for the woman. She knew that if she had been placed in this situation— to help someone this striking handsome as Killian… someone as good as him, someone you considered a best friend, she wouldn’t hesitate one bit to help him out… she would just jump into it without a second thought.

But Kendra or whoever she called herself had selfishly left him all alone to deal with the curse by himself.

It didn’t matter.

She didn’t matter.

If she could let someone as worthy as Killian go, then she would do everything she possibly could to be there for him… maybe then, the moon goddess would give her to him as a ‘mate’ instead of that selfish bitch, Kendra.

It was way over three hours before the monstrous face the Alpha had been sporting all night finally started to return back to normal. The duo sighed in relief at the observation, for deep down, Killian had thought that he was going to permanently keep that face. He realised though that even though he was back to normal, he rather did not want Aiyisha to leave. He missed sitting down and having a general discussion with someone, and he genuinely enjoyed her company even though she had almost ruined it with her actions. But he was sure things were back to normal now— and that whatever foolish thoughts she might have been having concerning the two of them had been expunged by what she just witnessed.

That night, they spent the whole time talking and sharing their dreams and aspirations, so deep in conversation that they did not even notice that morn was soon approaching.
