Chapter Fifty: Adele - Christmas Surprise

"Come here," he rasped, pulling me into his arms and settling on the mattress with me perched on his thighs. We remained in that intimate embrace, no words passing between us. I clung to him, seeking solace in his presence.

"Archer..."

"Please, baby, don't. Please," he pleaded, and tears welled up in my eyes as I understood his unspoken request.

Summoning my courage, I asked once more, "Are we leaving?"

"No... I promised you until after the new year," he replied.

Relief washed over me, knowing we still had a week together. But then I remembered his words—until New Year, not after New Year. "After New Year?" I inquired, tilting my face to cup his bearded jaw, my eyes shut as I pressed my lips to his.

His fingers tenderly brushed away my tears. "I don't want to spend the first few days of the New Year without you... but if you want..."

"So can we stay together until, like, the end of the first week?"

"End of the second week," he rasped, causing my entire body to quiver.

"Middle of the January, then," I agreed, sealing our promise with a kiss.

"Why are you dressed up, then?" I asked when he finally released my lips. His fingers continued to stroke my nipples, and I could feel the hardness of his arousal beneath me now.

"I want to take you out to dinner," he replied.

"Hmm..." I murmured, brushing my hand teasingly over the bulge in his trousers. Ignoring his quivering response, I slipped out of his arms and made my way to the bathroom.

Standing by the bath, I leaned over to turn the tap on, aware of his view of me bent over with my legs slightly apart.

Anticipation coursed through me as I prepared the bath, relishing the moment. Soon enough, I heard the sound of his clothes hitting the floor. My breathing grew shallow as I waited. By the time he pressed his warm body against my backside, teasing my entrance before plunging inside, I was already panting. "Arch..." I cried out as he gripped my hips, driving into me. His grunts and moans intertwined with my pleasure-filled cries. We ended up sharing a steamy shower before he dressed again.

As I returned to the room, I noticed two dresses spread out on the bed. I hadn't heard the sound of a car engine, and the conditions outside seemed too severe for anyone to drive. I also hadn't heard the telltale sound of helicopter blades, leaving me puzzled as to how he had managed this surprise.

Catching my questioning gaze, he smiled and said, "Santa visited." I rolled my eyes but didn't press him for more details. It was clear he wanted to preserve the sense of mystery. Besides, having had a brother who only shared what he wanted me to know had taught me to be content with such enigmatic moments.

I quickly tidied my hair and selected one of the dresses to try on. It was a black, backless gown with delicate straps that clung to my skin like a second layer, accentuating every curve and making my breasts appear more prominent than I had realized. The rich fabric strained against my nipples, creating a captivating image.

As Archer returned, having readied our transport, I glimpsed him standing at the top of the stairs, a few feet behind me, seemingly captivated by the transformation.

As I stood there, unsure of my choice, I murmured, "I think this will do."

Archer, his voice filled with desire, responded with a rasped affirmation. He lowered his face, contemplating something for a moment before striding toward a side wall adorned with an abstract painting. With practiced movements, he removed the painting, revealing a hidden safe embedded within the wall. Skillfully manipulating the combination lock, he swung open the safe's door and retrieved a jewelry case, leaving the safe exposed and vulnerable.

Returning to stand behind me, his voice now a melodic whisper, he held out a stunning necklace adorned with an array of exquisite gems, its centerpiece a captivating red diamond.

"Archer..." I gasped, awestruck by the beauty of the necklace as he carefully fastened it around my neck. The cool touch of the jewelry against my skin sent shivers down my spine, and its weight provided a comforting sense of presence. It was a piece fit for royalty, the most magnificent creation I had ever laid my eyes upon. Overwhelmed with emotion, I released a shuddering breath as he pressed a tender kiss to the back of my neck. Then, he took my hand, placing a pair of matching earrings delicately in my palm.

Caught between amusement and unease, I jokingly remarked, "I hope there's adequate security where you're taking me. I wouldn't want to be mugged wearing such valuable jewelry."

Archer chuckled, his voice laced with reassurance. "No one would dare lay a finger on you," he rasped, leaning closer as if to kiss me but restraining himself. His eyes locked with mine, conveying a silent promise of protection and desire. "Shall we go now, before I change my mind, Adele?" he warned, his words filled with a mix of desire and a trace of uncertainty.

Swallowing the nervousness that crept up within me, I swiftly adorned the earrings and looked at myself in the mirror. The image that stared back at me was transformed into that of an enchanting princess.

With a final touch, Archer draped a luxurious fur coat over my shoulders, completing the ensemble. He then intertwined his fingers with mine, leading the way to his awaiting helicopter.

The sleek aircraft, unlike any I had envisioned, exuded an air of opulence. Archer helped me settle into the seat next to the pilot, ensuring my safety before taking his place at the controls.

"You're quite the jack of all trades, aren't you?" I teased, a playful smile dancing on my lips. Archer leaned in, his gaze intense, as if he wanted to kiss me but held back. Our eyes locked, and at that moment, I could see the promise of forbidden pleasure in his gaze. He reached for the controls, his fingers deftly flipping switches and powering the helicopter. "Don't worry," he assured me, his voice filled with determination, "I promise to bring you back safely."

As the helicopter lifted off the ground, a flutter of nervousness coursed through me, but I did my best to conceal it. However, Archer sensed my unease and reached for my hand, interlacing our fingers together. He brought our clasped hands to his lips, pressing a tender kiss to the back of my hand. The warmth of his breath against my skin distracted me from my fear, and soon my focus shifted to the breathtaking view below.

We left behind the snowy plains and entered a town illuminated by vibrant city lights and adorned with sparkling Christmas decorations. The sight was truly captivating, and I couldn't help but smile, feeling Archer's gaze fixed upon me.

As the helicopter descended, we landed on a skyscraper's helipad. Archer shut off the engine and swiftly freed himself from the restraints before assisting me out of my seat and guiding me onto the rooftop. Expecting to find a group of bodyguards, I was surprised to see no one around, realizing that Archer must have intentionally kept them hidden from my view. Taking hold of my hand, he led me through a set of double doors, which revealed a grand staircase leading us to an elevator. The unfamiliar landscape indicated that we had traveled far from our hometown of Brooks. In the elevator, Archer drew me close, his fingers entwined with mine, offering a comforting sense of connection.

Curiosity getting the best of me, I turned to him and asked, "Where are we?"

"We're in a town called Yorkehill, about 100 km from Brooks," he explained, his voice filled with a hint of excitement.

"It looks glamorous," I commented, my nerves tingling with anticipation.

"It's somewhat like Vegas, a smaller sin city," he replied, his eyes gleaming with memories. "I've been here before with my parents. You're going to love it."

As Archer mentioned his parents, I couldn't help but feel a sense of significance. It was the first time he had openly spoken about them, and I cherished the fact that he chose to share this moment with me rather than with someone else. Though I couldn't deny a twinge of curiosity about his past, I pushed those thoughts aside and moved closer to him. He enveloped me in a warm embrace, his lips tenderly pressing against my forehead. In that heartfelt gesture, my heart melted, and I felt a profound connection between us.

As we entered the room, my expectations shifted, for before me was an expansive space with a magnificent indoor swimming pool tucked into one corner. The other side resembled a fine dining restaurant, with a beautifully set table for two and a grand pianoforte placed against a side wall.

Christmas decorations adorned the room, and a towering Christmas tree stood tall, accompanied by gifts beneath its branches. A chandelier cast a soft glow over the dining table, which was laden with an array of delectable food and desserts. A bottle of champagne glistened at the center, nestled inside an ice bucket. Two uniformed men stood by the table, ready to attend to our needs. The melodic tunes played by the pianist filled the room, creating an enchanting ambiance.

"Good evening, sir, madam," the men greeted us, their voices filled with respect. "We are at your service tonight."

"Thank you," I replied, acknowledging their presence.

"Hmm…" Archer uttered, and I couldn't help but glance at him curiously. His face seemed devoid of emotion, as if he had returned to his usual self.

"He meant thank you," I interjected playfully, a mischievous smile on my face. Archer gave me a puzzled look, but I continued to beam at him, hoping to lighten the mood. The men respectfully stepped back as Archer pulled out a seat for me and took the one opposite. Though the table wasn't overly large, it was positioned in a way that made it impossible for our bodies to touch.

The attentive staff served us each course with precision and grace, and when it was time for dessert, I couldn't resist scooping a spoonful of the decadent chocolate ice cream cake into my mouth. I closed my eyes, savoring the exquisite taste, and could sense Archer's intense gaze upon me. Slowly, I opened one eye to meet his hungry stare, which only fueled the desire within me. With the other eye joining its companion, I locked my gaze with his. However, the presence of the waiting staff and the piano player reminded us of the public setting.

"Leave us," Archer commanded, his voice sharp and authoritative. Without hesitation, the three men promptly exited the room, leaving us in privacy.

As soon as the door closed behind them, I openly grinned at Archer, who raised an eyebrow in anticipation. "What are you up to now?" he inquired a hint of amusement in his voice.
