Blair had just finished watching the press conference being held by Zeke when she heard a soft knock on her door. She had expected Diane to contact her so she could be there with Zeke for the press conference but she had guessed wrong.. She had also seen the video clip being air and then she knew he had been truthful and hadn't lied to her, although a part of her was scared he had come to call off their arrangements.
She just knew it. Blair slowly walked towards the door to open it without even checking. She knew it was Zeke.
"Can I come in,”Zeke says.i just want to explain everything to you"He says as she stared at him blankly. His eyes were red and he definitely looked stressed.
"What truth?She asks slowly biting her lips..
"The one you so desperately want to hear from me"He says and he definitely didn't wait for her to say come in. Instead he just waltzed into the room leaving Blair no option but to listen..
"Am sorry I dragged you into all this, am sorry I allowed your name be dragged on the mud just like mine. You definitely didn't deserve it, you're too good for this"He says his voice thick with emotions.
Blair's heart skipped a beat. She didn't know why she was so scared to hear it straight up from him that he was done but she wasn't ready to let go. No matter how upset and angry she was with him. She couldn't allow him walk away..
"Are you calling off our arrangements?"She says swallowing, suddenly she felt nauseous.
"Hell no! This arrangement with you and me is still forever, only death can break it off"He says hurriedly as he goes in and grabs her by the shoulders..
"Pardon? Sorry, am quite confused. What exactly are you getting at"She asks as a spark of hope lights through her chest at his statement.
"Zuri! You asked who Zuri was?"He says, at the mention of this name she could feel the tension of the room change..
"She was my twin sister. We were identical twins actually, I find it difficult to talk about her because of the way things happened"He says, Zeke the multi billionaire suddenly looked like a totally different type of person. He looked like he couldn't even breathe.
"You had a twin?"She says..
"But she's dead. All because of me, and everyday I blame myself. I beat myself up for being the reason why she's gone. If I hadn't chased after her that night she never would have gotten into that accident"He says grunting, suddenly Blair saw a tear slip from his eyes...
"Oh my God"Blair gasps out in shock.
"Zuri had fallen for one of our rival companies son. Dad had no idea but I did. I always caught her sneaking off to see him. I should have just let her do what she wanted. I shouldn't have scolded her, I shouldn't have car chased her that night when she tried to run off to marry him in Secret. If I hadn't then she would at least be alive, the grief wouldn't have killed my father either."He says....
"Zeke you shouldn't blame yourself. So you've been carrying around this amount of grief and pain for this long?"She says as tear begins to slip from her eyes as she watched the man she loves in so much pain...
"Our cars both crashed and collided together, I survived but unfortunately Zuri didn't. Her car was crushed under some tanker thanks to me, I blame myself every fucking day for not taking that death penalty for not dying in her stead. I can barely sleep without having flashbacks of that night. I only see peace when am with you"He says as he stares at her with eyes of love..
"For a long time I thought Zuri's love was naive, I thought love only just took. I even made an oath not to have such feelings because I thought them naive and childish, well that changed when I met you tho"He says smiling...
"I know am not perfect, I spent the following years after Zuri's death drinking, whoring and partying away my grief in hopes of keeping them buried. I know am broken, I know I do not deserve you but I want you in my life. No matter what it takes, even if it means I have to go against my oath"He says as he grabs her face softly with his hands..
"I love you so much that it's too hard for me to breathe, I love our little pumpkin even before it's born. I know have been nothing but a jerk and I know am a stranger to love but I promise to love you, cherish you will you forever be my contract Bride"He asks..
"I love you too Zeke Armani. I'm sure your sister dosen't Blame you for her death either. It may take a while but I promise you with time your wonunds will heal, I'll be with you all the way.."Blair says in between her own tears...
"We're both broken together, and we'll help each other grief. Am not stranger to pain and loss"Blair says as she moves in to kiss him and that kiss promised and gave everything she had so desperately searched for...
