Jack smiled beautifully at me, brushing away a few damp strands that clung to my face and tracing my lips with his thumb. He seemed to shine like the stars in the sky. Jack kissed me calmly, calmly parting my lips and tasting.
— I love you, my beautiful, brave, courageous partner.
Jackson picked me up and, still kissing me, he took us back to the river. I squealed as the cold water hit my hot body, Jack wrapped his warm arms around me and I stayed clinging to him. Taking advantage of the fact that he was at the river, I tried to clean myself up as much as I could, getting rid of the dirt in my hair caused by the dirt on the edge of the lake. Jack didn't mind when I splashed water on his face, he kept his eyes closed, relaxing.
— How do you feel?— he wanted to know.
I brought my hand to Jack's face, gently touching his cheek.
— Like I finally found my place with you.
His face lit up, Jack cupped my face with his free hand.
— You're the best thing that ever came into my lonely, dark life.
Jack brought his mouth down to mine, but before he kissed me, I let out a teasing:
— I hope you're not tired, Supreme.
A sly smile tugged at his lips.
— I'm not done with you yet, wild wolf.
— I didn't expect anything different.
My blood boiled as I felt his bulge building against my thigh again, and I found myself thirsting for him all over again. Jack found his way into me, and I welcomed him with relieved, awed wonder. He sighed heavily against my mouth, thrusting deeply.
— I need to ask you something.
— What?— He nibbled on my chin.
I scraped my nails down Jack's neck.
— Males bite their females to mark territory, right?
— Yes.— Another kiss on my neck.
— Why can't females bite their mates?
Jack's laugh vibrated in my neck, and I choked on a deep thrust.
— Do you want to bite me, wild wolf?
I smiled sensually, biting my lower lip.
— I can?
Jack revealed in a low voice:
— When a male allows his female to bite him, he puts her in the same position as him, that is, both being one. It doesn't happen very often.
Jackson continued to move inside me.
— Then?
— When I said we'd be the same, I wasn't bluffing, Hayley. From this night on, I choose to share with you all that I am, including my power and dominance, it's all yours.
My eyes flooded with tears.
— Are you sure about that?— There will be no turning back.
He grinned at me, showing sharp fangs that gleamed in the moonlight.
— Claim what is yours, wild wolf.
— You are mine, Supreme.
Jack's eyes flared in response, and his answering thrust was enough for me to sink my fangs into his neck, his blood flooding my mouth. We moved together, our bodies fused together as the stars twinkled in the sky. We reached the apex when Jackson's roar shook the world.
And I wondered if it was possible to love someone so much that the mere possibility of losing them one day hurts.
(....)
— What are we going to do?— I asked my partner, lying on his chest after he'd taken us to the small lakeside cabin where I'd spent the night when I got to town. Jack had prepared the place for us to be together during the Blood Moon, away from everyone else.
— About us or the Crescents?—
— Both.
Jack twirled a lock of my hair around his finger.
— We can have a small ceremony with our family in celebration of our union, with an elder acknowledging our bond and declaring us partners in accordance with our traditions.
I nodded in agreement.
— And I imagine that according to our traditions, I must conceive your heirs.
Jack pulled my chin to face him, he was cautious as he said:
— You shouldn't do anything you don't want to, our children will come with time if we decide so, together.
— Together,— I agreed.
He kissed my forehead.
— Our children will be wild, violent little beasts, just like their mother. May the moon help me.
I landed a smack on his arm, his laughter filling the cabin.
— I want to take the city back, this territory belongs to my family. New Orleans was once dominated by wolves and that must come back.
Jack gave me a crooked smile.
— I leave you alone for a week and you plan to start a war?
— Count yourself lucky that I waited for you to arrive before I attacked.
Jack's chest rose and fell as he took a deep breath.
— I'll arrange a meeting with the city's supernatural council before we start a new war between the species, I don't want to think about that right now.
I bit my lower lip, sliding my hand down his body slowly, digging my nails into his muscular thighs. Jack growled dangerously at my attitude.
— And what do you want now, Supreme?
Jackson's hand gripped my hair, giving it a firm tug.
— You. I want you.
I licked my lips, a smile breaking out.
— What do you want me to do?
He nibbled on my bottom lip.
— I want you to mount me, wolf.
My mouth dried up, and I quickly slid on top of him.
— It will be a pleasure, Supreme.
Jackson held me as we came together once more, thirsting for each other, our moans and sighs filling the small cabin, the heat burning us and the fire consuming us.
— I love you,— he whispered, eyes closed, the climax approaching.
A smile appeared on my lips.
— I love you,— I whispered as the explosion of color hit me.
HAYLEY BLAKE
I woke up the next morning with itches on my back, I shifted, mumbling something and a smile formed on my lips when I realized that the itches were actually kisses from my partner, his warm body pressed against my back sent warm vibrations through my insides.
To say that we had slept a few hours would be a lie, Jack was voracious and I didn't stay behind, I couldn't get enough of his touches and kisses, the feeling of having him inside me. Jack had not only claimed my body last night, but he had marked me, heart and soul, in ways I could never understand.
I turned over on the mattress, and struggled to open my eyes, mumbling in the light of the cabin. Jack's face was the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes that morning, his face was slightly wrinkled and his hair was messy, but the smirk tugging at the corner of his lips and the glint in his gray irises was enough for me to grab him in a less than decent way, losing myself once again in my partner's arms.
I was starving, I realized that as I devoured most of the fruit basket I had brought the day before. Jack remained seated on the mattresses, his back against the cabin wall, watching me satisfy my hunger. Every now and then I noticed little smiles coming from him towards me, and through the bond, I could feel his calmness, the warm vibes coming from my partner. I wasn't any different, I wouldn't be surprised if I suddenly started skipping through the woods while humming.
— I don't think it's a bad idea for you to do that,— Jack said and I furrowed my eyebrows.
— What?
He gave a weak laugh and I rolled my eyes, finally understanding.
— The noose, of course. It's weird having you on my mind.
Jack was munching on an apple.
— I don't want this to become a problem in our relationship, you can keep the door of your mind closed, I'll understand if that's your will.
I shook my head.
— I don't want to keep you away at all. I trust you.
Jack winked at me, tossing the rest of the chewed apple somewhere. I laughed out loud when the Supreme's arms wrapped around my body and pulled me, I sat on his legs and rested my head on his chest, sighing softly.
— I've dreamed of this moment for a long time,— Jack began to say softly into my ear. — When the bond was finally fitted between us, I planned to take you dancing in the moonlight on some deserted beach, just the two of us and the sea, somewhere where no trouble could reach us.
I closed my eyes, allowing that desire to flow inside me, I saw the image he created reflecting in my mind, a perfect scene, the two of us dancing on the beach with the sea waves breaking on our legs.
— It would have been perfect,— I whispered, squeezing him tighter.
Jack's heavy sigh made my chest tighten.
— I think the worst part is knowing that this is impossible to happen now with so many problems that surround us.
I wet my lips.
— I know,— I agreed. — But we're together, that's all that matters.
Jack placed a lingering kiss in my hair and I snuggled into my partner's arms, soaking up the calm beat of his heart and the sound of his calm breathing, something so simple, but it brought some kind of inner peace within me in a way. way I couldn't explain.
— Hayley?
— Hmm?— I murmured with my eyes closed.
— I think you should see this.
— What?
I looked up to see him, but Jack was staring at my shoulder. I frowned, following his gaze and was surprised by the tribal marks that covered my right shoulder and part of my arm, ancient runes from the time of the gods, symbols that represented the bond of companionship between Jack and me. I looked at my partner's arm and the same tattoo covered his arm.
— I think they look better on me,— he teased.
— Do you know I agree?
— That's really a surprise,— he agreed and left a bite on my chin. — How can we celebrate?— he asked, pressing his fingers into my thigh.
(....)
It was dusk when Jack and I were forced to return home due to a note sent by Madison in a spell, the witch was urgently calling us, and as much as the idea of leaving the cabin to return to the center of chaos did not pass me by. Attractive, I couldn't shirk my responsibilities much longer.
The very moment I stepped into the house next to Jack, the smell of fresh blood alarmed me. My partner and I exchanged suspicious glances and walked towards the living room where everyone was waiting anxiously. It was the wolf with its throat slit open on the piece of furniture in the middle of the room that caught me off guard, the bones in his body looking broken and the bruises telling of a physical altercation.
