Chapter WOLF — Chapter One Hundred and Thirteen

— Mother, both Megan and I are powerful and strong beings.

— I know, honey — he smiled at me — But I can't help but worry about you, your father too, that's why he's so paranoid.

I shook my head. Suddenly feeling claustrophobic and weird. I needed to get some air.

— I need some time to digest this, okay? I'm going to run a little through the forest.

— How I miss running through the transformed forest,— she groaned in disgust and let out a groan of pain, bending forward. — Aaron is kicking me so hard, he's so strong.

Smile.

— He will be a very strong wolf — I muttered heading towards the door, opening it, feeling the cold wind hit my face, making me sigh in relief.

The journey to the forest was fast and when I realized it, I was already running at high speed through the forest. My feet hit the ground hard and my movements were agile and fast, my wolf howled inside me, causing a wave of energy to flood my chest and I smiled, feeling my senses expand.

I could feel everything around me, every life, every plant, tree. There was not my wolf connection with the forest, but my magic's connection with nature. I breathed in the pure night air and allowed myself to relax, as I ran through the dense woods. That was my favorite place in the world, in the middle of nature, it was where I belonged.

Howls sounded through the forest, sending shivers through my body and I smiled. I wasn't the only one running through the woods, so I changed my route and continued running towards the densest and darkest part of the forest, I wanted to be alone, I needed to get my thoughts in order. The place was further away, but it would be worth it.

A smile spread across my lips as I arrived in my little private paradise. It was a huge garden that I had created, around a circle of stones. I took off my shoes and allowed myself to feel the grass on my bare feet, it tickled and I loved that feeling.

I approached the stones and the electrifying sensation ran through my room as I entered the circle, it felt so good to be in that place. Mom told me there was a chance this place was magical, as we could all feel the change in atmosphere as we stepped between the stones. She suspected it was the ruins of a Druid temple from many, many years ago, as it was quite far from our house, on the edge of our property. I sat on the ground and leaned against one of the stones, the place was lit only by the light. moon and stars. The weather was so light, refreshing and the contact with nature calmed all my fears and fears, leaving me with an impressive feeling of lightness.

I closed my eyes, leaning my head against the stone and crossing my legs, taking deep breaths over and over again, relaxing my muscles and clearing my mind of any thoughts. I did as my mother had taught me and concentrated on the energy within me, on the Intense power wanting to be released and I placed my hands one on top of the other but didn't touch. I felt the power raging inside me, I felt it in every cell in my body, it was my power, it was part of me.

My hands started to warm up and I smiled when I realized that I was succeeding. I kept my concentration there, distributing my power calmly, so as not to cause another explosion like last week. I opened my eyes, seeing a light blue, almost white mist swirling around my hands. I began to mold my magic into a large glowing sphere and I smiled, splitting it into three spheres and floating them through the air. They were spheres of white magic, they glowed brightly like diamonds, they were beautiful.

I felt proud to see how I had managed it. I had tried last week, but the frustration of not being able to get the better of me and I freaked out, ended up blowing out the windows of the house and did massive damage.

I could see small flowers sprouting along the way the spheres floated, I looked down at my hands and they were still glowing from my magic. I found myself admiring what had been bestowed upon me, the power, the true magic. I could do endless different things with my magic, good things but also bad things.

I touched the necklace around my neck which, as expected, glowed brightly as it always did when I used my white magic. I knew it was black magic kicking in, wanting to be released and used for evil. But I was trying, keeping myself under control and controlling her so that no one would get hurt, or worse, be killed by me. I didn't want deaths around me, I didn't want anyone to die because of me and that's why I needed to learn to control me. The necklace wouldn't be eternal and I couldn't spend the rest of my life suppressing my power with the moonstone, one day the necklace will be destroyed and when that day comes, I need to be ready.

— We need to be ready, lives depended on us.—

A chill ran through my body in a strange way, an icy sensation crawled across my skin and that's when I realized someone was there. I wasn't alone.

— Who's there?— The spheres of magic settled around me, swirling around me, as if to protect me.

I could see a silhouette emerging from the shadows, it was a man. The same euphoric feeling coursed through my body and I was hit by that sweet scent again, making me sigh but stay alert. If my intuitions were right, and I knew they were, it was the black magic wizard from last night. When I saw him emerge from the shadows, I gasped, taking a few steps back, but I bumped into one of the huge stones that they had there.

— You again,— I accused, trying to make my voice sound steady and even though I couldn't see his face properly, since he was away from me and the spheres of magic around me, I saw a smile break out across his face. his lips, but like last night, it was a smile full of ulterior motives and that bothered me.

— My sweet Zoe, how good to see you. Her voice sent unwanted shivers across my skin and I clenched my jaw.

— I'm not yours, stop it.

— You're wrong, you can't fight fate — he approached me with slow steps and that's when I could see him better, I was sure the same as last night, he was beautiful. He was wearing a dark gray suit, just like the last night. He had a serious and rigid face, which for some reason gave me chills. But he was handsome, he had an enviable posture, his hair was short and light, but his eyes were still a mystery to me, I couldn't define what color they were. they were.

— You're crazy,— I whispered.

— And you are mine.

— I don't belong to anyone! — I roared in his direction, feeling the surrounding atmosphere change drastically and when I looked around I could see. The spheres that were bright and full of light, were now dark and full of darkness.

— You are destined for me and nothing will change that, sweet Zoe!

Zoe Labonair

What the hell did that man want with me?

I let out a sigh of pure irritation and opened my hands when I realized that I was digging my nails into the skin. I took several deep breaths and the surrounding spheres disappeared and I continued to stare at the man in front of me, who was watching me with an unreadable expression.

— Don't call me that,— I muttered under my breath and he took a few more steps towards me, making my heart race and I mentally cursed my body for reacting this way to him. — Who are you?

— It doesn't matter,— he snapped and I narrowed my eyes. — I just came to leave a message.

— And what would be?

— Soon I'll make you a proposition.— I raised an eyebrow. — And if you refuse to accept it, something terrible will happen.

My body shuddered violently.

— Are you threatening me?— I asked in a low voice. — Because if you are, you'll regret it bitterly.

He shook his head, ignoring my words.

— You don't know who I am, sweet Zoe.

— Don't call me that!— I snarled in his direction, bothered by the way he called me.

— I see you have the temper of wolves, something that can become intrusive.— He continued to approach me, cornering me on the stone and I tried to calm my breathing.

— What are you talking about?— I asked in a whisper.

His presence began to affect me in a strange way, I couldn't understand what was happening to my body when it was reacting to his approach so intensely, that man's aura was strange, dark, but something about him attracted me, the mystery that it wrapped around him like a noose pulling me to him.

— You will agree to marry me.

I blinked a few times, feeling the weight of those words hit me hard. I frowned.

— No. I will not marry you — I assured decidedly.

I could feel a smile on my lips at the stranger's stupid statement, he was a fool if he thought there was any possibility of marriage between the two of us. By the moon, I didn't even know him.

— It wasn't a request, dear. You will be my wife very soon.— He lifted his hand and tried to touch my face, but I smacked his hand away and pushed him away from me, wanting him to go away.

— Don't you dare try to touch me again. — I said agitated, my heart felt like it wanted to explode. The look on her face had me freezing in place, a dark mist emanating from her body and surrounding him, as if she was protecting him. It was a black mist like the most terrible darkness. But what the hell was that?

— I will never marry you, understand? Never!

Watching him button up his gray suit with surprising elegance, I raised an eyebrow.

— If you want to save your bloody bad— breed family, I suggest you accept my proposal and stop throwing tantrums.

I ground my teeth as I understood the true intent behind his words. There were few things that awakened the dark force that lay dormant within me, and threatening my family was one of those things.

— You don't stand a chance against my family,— I assured him with my chin held high.

He tucked the white handkerchief into his jacket pocket indifferently.

— You don't know who I am, sweet Zoe, and you have no idea what I'm capable of doing to get revenge.

Revenge. So this was all about that, revenge. He was another one of my family's enemies and I didn't even know if he was a big threat or not. That word echoed in my mind, sending the most cruel shivers through my body as I remembered that the last witch who wanted revenge almost destroyed us.

— What do you want from me?— My voice cracked, but I didn't care.

I wanted answers, what did that man want?
