Chapter Accident

Faye's Point of View.

"Confusing you?" he replied while furrowing his brows. Damion pushed me in front of him and got on his knees. "I apologize for this matter, Mr. Jacob. I couldn't bring her as soon as I found her. She's too stubborn and a slut."

"A slut?!" I butted in. "Who do you think are you talking about? How dare you say that fearlessly in front of my face as if you're reporting about a stranger? You shithead."

Damion nodded. "Yes, you're right. You're a stranger to me."

My brows met. A perfect non-verbal way to ask, "WHAT?!"

Damion was on his knees while stating a foolish statement. I rolled my eyes. This makes me sick. Mom looked fierce, and dad is terrifying. Maybe, if hurting Damion won't hurt me, my parents are already a murderer. Just the thought of it, it makes me want to throw up.

Mom went closer to my face and checked. Maybe she's making sure that Damion didn't touch me. Then she came near Damion who was still bowing in front of them. Cripes, my parents are regular werewolves. Bowing to them is too much. I shook my head.

"I forbid you to come closer to him from now on, Faye," Dad finally spoke up. After a very long time of staring blankly at Damion.

"What is this again?" I sighed. "Haven't you learned? Have you seen my tests? Have you forgotten what I've told you?"

"This is for your own sake, Darlene Faye. You should've listened!" Mom rebutted.

"NO! Just because you said, you have the right to control me as if I'm a baby?"

I feel my ears were like blowing hot steam. It was like I was a kettle, met the temperature to release smoke. Even my nose and eyes feel burning hot.

There was a sudden warmth that touched my hand. This made my heart flutter and tone down in an instant. But my cheeks are behaving abnormally. Maybe its color is bright red at the moment. When I look to find who gave me the rollercoaster, it surprised me.

"D-Damion?"

"I can't let her go, sir and ma'am," Damion said firmly while looking directly into my father's eyes. Those confusing eyes... he used it again.

Dad withdraws his sword and placed it at Damion's neck. "You imbecile! How dare you speak your mind?!"

My reflexes made me push Damion behind me to receive the sword pointing at him. Blood drips from my neck. Tears streamed down my face. Why is this happening?

Silence remains, as well as the sword. Mom and dad's strong glare at me feels like someone is pinching my heart through needles, a thin needle. I was giving the same energy to them, but I'm trembling. It's as if I was facing an enemy instead of a family. For years, we've been together, protecting ourselves from the bandits and their families that wanted to kill me.

But their desire to kill my mate makes me think my parents are no different. They were all a dirty killer.

The silence was interrupted when a group of men surrounded us. Not a single second has been wasted for they already attacked all of us. But they've taken my parents while I was struggling to fight.

"My parents," I whispered, squinting my eyes. "MOM! DAD!" I yelled after I made sure they were. Damn.

I slayed those who went on my way as I was trying to reach for my parent. Wolfing out, I killed them with the large claws I had. Almost, I'm getting nearer to saving my parents.

Damion grabbed my hand, trying to protect me from a possible cut I should've gotten on my neck if he didn't pull me. But my parents are gone. Now, I'm out of focus.

"Daddy," I whimpered. "Mommy... where are you?!"

At that moment, I lost my sanity. What surrounds me feels like nothing or those accidental slits or cuts I got from the intruder. Even if they kill me now, I wouldn't feel it. I was too busy finding my lost parents I've had a few minutes ago.

A war has begun.

On my knees, I yelled for my parents' names. Please, I hope and pray for the Moon Goddess to at least recognize my voice.

Someone pulled my hand and tied me to the back of a carriage using a silver chain as if I had the strength or desire to get away from there. Wow, ancient way to captivate a beautiful, not-so-virgin woman. If not because of my stunning appearance, probably, this is because of the fucking moonstone.

Following a familiar man, also tied beside me. How is this any different from all of their operations to captive ancient women before? Nevermind. Probably, I have no idea how they were doing it. My ass knows all about werewolves through textbooks.

"We'll find them."

"I will find them, Damion. And I don't need your help."

"Yes, you do. Do you even know what pack took us?" he asked, and I remained silent. How would I know? I was raised together with humans. "See? You're ignorant when it comes to your race. All you want is to get drunk, and have unlimited sex with a human who has a big dick. Even just a toy would be enough for you to satisfy your greedy needs. And you dared to say that you will find them?"

I laughed sarcastically, while there are unconscious tears are falling down my cheeks.

"Are you jealous of all the boys I make out with while you and your pride prohibited yourself from it? Don't talk. You and I were both captured here by the pack I didn't know—"

He instantly stopped me from talking by moving his face closer to my neck. "You will see. And oh, I'm not jealous."

"Really?" I asked, and moved my face closer to his lips, struggling. "How about we make out now?"

"FAYE!"

"What? You can't?"

"Seriously? This is the reason you couldn't get a man to take you seriously."

"Who says I want a serious relationship?" I smirked. "Don't worry, I'll have sex with you sooner and take down your pride."

"I don't need that," he said.

Silence prevailed. I let it that way. It's better not to talk than to accidentally spill what I truly feel toward him.

The carriage stopped.

A man appeared to escort us. But...
