Chapter 33. THE ANNOYING MRS. BOWLEANS

Mrs. Bowleans literally couldn't stop talking and kept on whining about Patricia and the pain she was in. He also seemed to turn a deaf ear to all the bad things related to Patricia. Believing that Patricia Bowleans is a sweet girl who is loved by many people. Oh, Luke wanted to vomit when he heard Mrs. Bowles said that. He also brought up the matter of what happened after being in the woods last week.

While wiping away her tears, Mrs. Bowleans said, “Oh…my poor Patricia. Some time ago he was stuck in the woods, sir. Poor him. Locked in a shed in the woods and surrounded by dozens of wolves. Patricia was also punished for a mistake she didn't commit. Service punishment?! Oh my gosh! That must have been embarrassing for him. After that incident, he had to take medicine for three nights, you know, sir . Though she's a cowardly girl, officer . I myself do not know why he was there. The only reason Patricia would want to go there was if someone threatened her or something…”

Mrs. Bowleans said while glancing at Luke. Good grief! It was the bitch's own fault to be there. He forced Rei to come and locked Rei in the warehouse. Then they intended to leave but unfortunately met a pack of wolves. Well , that's his own fault. After all, this had also been discussed at the police station at that time. Luke became curious, what exactly did Patricia tell her parents? Two-faced bastard!

On the other hand, Luke's interrogation lasted about four hours. Imagine! Four hours stuck in this cold and stiff iron chair, side by side with a chatty aunt who was overacting , as well as the annoying chatter of some of the prisoners in the makeshift cell behind the officer's back. This was quite stressful, Luke didn't even finish the water he was proffered earlier. as if Luke felt that if Luke swallowed something, the stomach would reject it right away.

Until one day, Mrs. Bowleans remains adamant that Luke is punished. Take Luke to juvenile court or something.

"At least I want to sue for compensation for the injuries my daughter suffered, officer ! Do you know how much my husband spent on that?!” cried Mrs. Bowles. Then he glanced at Luke fiercely and the next second glanced the other way.

Then the police officer who conducted the inspection, asked Luke to contact Ben. The intention is that Luke has a guardian who should know that Luke will get the fine and, if so, so that Ben can pay the fine.

"I left my phone at home, sir . We just left and I didn't have time to take her."

"You know the number, right?"

“ No— ”

" Yes, you are . Mention the number Mr. Bright they can call. I'll speak to him for you, Miss," the officer said, sounding a little pushy.

However, Luke wasn't lying at all when he said that he didn't know Ben's cell phone number by heart. Luke is indeed his grandson, but they rarely communicate.

"I really can't remember, sir . What should I say if I can't even memorize the numbers?! You want me to make it up?! Well, okay . It's like 02012987 and triple 'X'. Satisfied?!" snapped Luke a little annoyed.

The officer shrugged and exhaled. He glared at her. "You might be able to tell me which Hospital they are in right now, Miss Bright."

Luke was silent for a few seconds. Yeah, just thought… Luke didn't even know which hospital Ulfa had her routine checkup at. Nothing to think about. But, if that took up to many days, then it was probably somewhere quite far away.

“Erm… they are in… in California? LA maybe…? I'm not sure, officers . They never said exactly where Ulfa was seeking treatment," Luke answered hesitantly. The police officer froze for two seconds, looking at him in disbelief.

"Really, officers. I really don't know where exactly they are. They never told me about it ," said Luke again. So desperate now.

Luke had heard Mrs. Bowleans sighed and asked, "Why don't you call your parents, son?"

“ My momma was dead and my daddy was gone … Ma'am!” Luke deliberately clarified each syllable so that Mrs. These Bowleans heard it right. Besides, Luke was a bit offended that he suddenly brought up about parents.

Again, Mrs. Bowleans can be seen snorting a snide laugh while muttering something like this; “Ah, of course… children without parents are brutal.”

Luke heard that! Luke heard it very clearly and it made Luke angry.

Excuse me . What the fuck just are you saying , Mrs. Bowles?”

Mrs. Bowleans turned to Luke. The way he looked was unpleasant. He chuckled softly and rolled his eyes as if he had just seen a filthy tramp. He replied, “I said what? So what did you hear, anyway? I'm not saying any one word of shit, child .”

"I heard that, Ma'am. Don't think I'm stupid! I can hear you so clearly! You know?! If the me who doesn't have parents is being brutal, then what should I call Patricia an old man whose behavior is no less than a jerk?!”

Mrs. Bowleans turned to face Luke and thumped the table. "You insulted my son?! You injured him and are now insulting my son?! You naughty brat!”

Oh, Luke would have stabbed this pretentious madam if it weren't for the two female police officers to arrest them both. For a moment, it felt like something was boiling in my chest, the crown was hot, and her face was twitching. Almost the same feeling as when Luke was very angry with Patricia Bowleans the other day. Who knows. Even the female police officer who held Luke stumbled backwards. Luke immediately came to his senses and helped him up.

“Oh, I'm sorry. I do not mean…"

"Okay, okay. I understand. It's okay son. he said. Even so, he was seen wincing in pain and holding his hips while standing with difficulty.

"Humph, delinquents really don't have good manners—"

Hastily the policewoman interrupted Mrs. Bowles. " Well, please don't fight here. Ma'am, you grown women, please behave and you, girl, you are in trouble here. So, hold on to your emotions.”

Luke and Mrs. The Bowleans glanced at each other, but it was only a split second before they both looked away.

And, yeah, those four hours ended up hurting Luke before Luke was sent back home. The police officer decided not to follow up on Mrs. Bowleans because shortly after, someone he knew came into the room and called out to Luke.

“Oh Luke?! Why are you here? Hey, Matt. Why is he here?”

it was mr. Chastain, Ben's friend. Luke is glad he's here so Luke tells him that Luke was having a bit of trouble at school the day before yesterday. Mr. Chastain listened for a moment and whispered something to the officer she called Matt. In the end, even though Mrs. The Bowleans kept threatening to get Luke into St. Louis. Harmount—the city's troubled criminal children's institution—but Mr. Chastain agreed to send Luke home that day.

Mr. Chastain said, “ Well , Ma'am. Minors should be accompanied by a guardian. I think Luke has told you that his grandparents are not home right now. Don't worry, they'll still be working on your report, Ma'am.”

" Wild ," hissed Mrs. Bowleans fierce, then walked away.

Luke too. Delivered by Mr. Chastain was in the police car and when Luke got home something else made her feel even worse. None other than a reply message from Amy this morning to a question about, 'Hey, Amy. What do I mean that I had a tantrum last night? I didn't. I had a fever last night and could only lie on the bed.'

The answer in the message;

' Well, you did. Andrew and I watched you rampage from your bedroom window. If not you, then who else?'
