Let Luke analyze independently; it is a man. Big bodied. Fierce-faced seems afraid. The man looked at Luke with a sharp gaze and a suspicious grin. Of course, there was no mistake, he must be a pervert. The kind of person Luke should avoid.
Leaving the big caretaker aside, Luke himself was glad to finally be able to return to normal routines though in a different way. Normal activities such as getting up early, having breakfast, going to school, and others. Although there are still disciplinary activities such as praying together at church or doing ministry assignments. Luke himself was in charge of feeding some of the farm animals.
Oh, right. livestock. Just as Luke had predicted the first night he came, there really was an animal farm in the backyard. Even though it is not large, there are several cages that must always be cleaned as well as several types of animals that must be fed and all of that is the task of the children here. The manager is only a foreman. Luke and Val are tasked with feeding the pigs, rabbits and chickens. It wasn't too much of a hassle since neither of them had to bathe or clean up their messes. But there are also children who have the misfortune of being tasked with cleaning the stables. According to scattered testimonies, the task of cleaning the bathroom or sorting out trash is far more humane than cleaning cattle pens. It's like hell. Luke himself once had to clean a pigsty because of a punishment.
So, Luke wasn't really interested in everyone's problems, but there was one annoying boy in class at the time. Because Luke was a new resident in this place, so they all acted pretentious and started pointing at Luke's head with their forefingers. The first or second time, Luke tried to be patient. But just before dinner, Luke found his assignment book torn to pieces. Luke was angry and at once, walked towards the dining room. Meet an annoying guy that Luke doesn't even know the name of. Then Luke saw him. He was busy having 'haha-hihi ' with his friends at one of the tables while sipping corn soup. Without warning, Luke stepped toward her and shoved her head into the bowl of corn chowder. Immediately, everyone stared at them. The jerk boys also screamed and cursed at Luke. Well, Luke realized that he himself was angry, but somehow his body moved on its own. Including this one recently.
“What do you want, you bastard?!”
One of Luke's hands gripped this jerk's hair and pressed his head into the soup, while the other pointed at his friends who were swearing at Luke.
"Shut up!" Luke told them. Then Luke pulled the head out of the soup and it was back in. Luke dug it in a second. "Who do you think you are, huh?! You don't know who I am?! You think I'd be scared just because you're a longtime resident here?! Answer!"
He started clawing at Luke's hand and there was a deep gurgling sound in the bowl, but no matter how bad the abrasions were, Luke had no intention of letting go. Luke's instinct said to just release all the anger, so Luke complied. He buried his face many times into the bowl until the sauce was splattered everywhere. Before the bowl could break, the big male caretaker approached and grabbed Luke by the back of the collar.
He said, “What are you guys playing, girls ? It seems so fun, to the point where I throw away the food.”
Well, because it was like that, Luke took his hand from the jerk boy's hair. But in the end the big teacher dragged them both to the pigsty. He threw two floor brushes under their feet and said, "Clean everything up and no one is allowed back into the dormitory building until it's all clean."
“Why me too?!” protested the son of a bitch. "See! My nose is bleeding because of him! Why was he the one who started first—eh…” his sentence stopped suddenly in surprise, and Luke was just as surprised as this guy. because, in the twinkling of an eye , the big caretaker was in front of him and then pressed the neck of this guy with his big palm. To be honest, Luke didn't even notice his movement because it was too fast.
“Ah…” he exhaled, smiled a little, “I think I understand why he…” said the caretaker while glancing at Luke, “… beat you up, son. You talk too much. Now do as I say or I'll throw you in prison Real boy."
And so then the two of them had to clean out the pigsty. Also, it was because of this that Luke grew sick of all pork preparations for the next week. The smell of dung and some of those disgusting spots still lingered in Luke's head. Huek… After all, the jerk boy's disturbance didn't end immediately, it just got more and more impudent. But, because Luke didn't want to clean the cage anymore, so Luke just let it be. Don't let the Pamela Dawson incident happen to her again.
But, by the way, there was one thing Luke noticed. Namely the big boss. Luke later finds out his name is Gaelic Blevine. Luke didn't know beforehand what kind of person Gaelic was, but when Luke was here, especially since he gave Luke punishment, they ran into each other more often and every time, Luke found Gaelic grinning at Luke. Frankly Luke felt scared and uncomfortable. Let it be said that this is a repair place for children who have legal problems, it does not mean that the caretakers here have a noble mission, the proof is that Luke also caught a male caretaker kissing one of the female students hotly in the fodder warehouse. Hence, Luke became wary of Gaelic. Luke felt he could do things he didn't expect.
Luke had once brought this up to Val—he was Luke's only normal friend in this place.
Luke asked "Val, what do you think about Gaelic?"
“The man of lightening?”
"Yes."
“Erm… I think he's pretty okay. The minus is that they rarely talk, once they talk it makes people afraid. But I think he's pretty okay. I love his muscles. Why? You have a crush on him?”
“ What…? Hell, no !”
Val chuckled. "Then why are you asking about him?"
"You see, I feel like he's a bit… you know, freak ."
“ Freaks ? What made you say that? Has he ever done anything to you? I mean, except for the time he gave you that old punishment.”
Luke rubbed the nape of his neck which suddenly felt cold. “That… I don't know if it's just my feeling, but I'm sure every time they pass each other, I see Gaelic looking at me with a strange look. At first I thought it was because I had a fight with one of the guys in the dining room. You know, he's sure to put up with anyone who messes up in the dining room. Well, that's why I thought he was just tagging me so I wouldn't fight anymore. But, after a while, I felt something was wrong. He is almost always in every aisle I pass. It was as if he was watching me."
"Is he trying to do something to you?" Val's eyes looked like they were probing.
"So far not. I always keep my distance from him. But, still I'm not comfortable. I think he has bad intentions towards me, Val.”
Val did listen carefully, but in the end all he said was like this.
"Ah, maybe that's just how you feel. Maybe it was just an accident.”
Luke was a bit irritated with his response and wanted to argue, but Luke didn't want to extend this conversation into an argument. Because Luke knew that it was not just an accident. It's not just Luke's feelings either. Because Luke has proof. Because right now Luke is experiencing it.
There, at the end of the bed. Gaelic was standing on the step of the bed and looking at Luke with that special look. Even though it's the middle of the night and this is the girls' dormitory .
