As soon as a voice filled her ears, Uti could see Omar standing up. Her younger brother was fixing his gaze on her.
"I have something to talk to you about," Omar said, speaking again when his sister knew where he was.
Uti shook her hand and said, "Later, you hurry up and get out of my room, I'm busy, I have my own business." Uti blatantly shooed Omar away. The girl continued to stare at her brother, who still did not move from his place, Omar was still standing, staring at Uti continuously, making Uti herself let out a short breath.
Uti walked over to her brother. "Omar, you're listening to what your sister's saying, right?" Uti had to turn off the phone to Marcell first.
"But—"
"No buts, I want to take care of my own business first, which is much more important. Let's get you out of my room." Uti pushed Omar away from her brother and out of her room.
Uti was still in a messy mood, annoyed that Novan was so hard to contact at the moment.
"Uti, you have to-"
"I said, you don't bother me first. You're a big boy Omar, do you understand what I'm talking about? You can leave first." Uti shooed Omar away with a gesture of her hand. "You usually play too, don't you? Go to the field with your friends, it's a holiday."
"What are you doing? Are you busy playing with your phone and pacing around?"
Uti glared widely at Omar. "What did you just say? You don't know anything, you little boy!" Aish, Uti was getting angry like this, blame Novan. That boy was the one, who had made Uti sick to death.
Not caring about Omar anymore, Uti closed the door. She even locked the door to her room just in case, in anticipation of Omar entering her room again, continuing to disturb her.
After that, Uti called Marcell again after she had hung up a few seconds ago.
At the same time, elsewhere, Marcell was with Weeby.
"Why is Uti calling you?" Weeby asked Marcell, who was currently running a little beside him. The two of them decided to jog together in the morning, both of them had planned this from yesterday, and this time the plan had been realized.
Marcell shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know, before I picked it up, she turned it off."
"Did Uti call you before?" Weeby asked again.
"No, this is the first time. That's why I was surprised. What's going on?" Marcell wondered to himself. The boy, who was wearing a sleeveless T-shirt, black shorts, and sports shoes, looked at his girlfriend, who was beside him. "Can you guess, By?"
"I don't know either."
"Well, never mind. Let's run again, you're still strong, right?" Marcell asked while looking at Weeby's face. The boy's lips curled upward, his faint smile already visible. Marcell would never look at Weeby with boredom, his girlfriend's face was very beautiful. How could Marcell not feel at home after staring at her for a long time?
Sweat was already flooding Weeby's temples, her long hair tied together in a ponytail seemed to sway to either side as she ran.
"Don't underestimate me, I can still run like this."
"I'm just asking, who knows if you really can't run, but you've been pushing it. If you faint, I'll be the one in trouble." Marcell chuckled softly at the end of his words. "I'll be the one panicking later."
"And about that, you don't have to worry, I'm still strong. If you're tired, I'll also talk to you about taking a break."
"That's good then."
"Come on, we just started just now. I'm already tired, am I not that weak?" Weeby glared at Marcell, who was currently beside her. The two of them were still running a little.
"Seriously, really tell me if you're tired."
"Yeah, you don't have to nag me. You're already tired yourself. Aren't you? So you're pretentious enough to ask me. You're the one who wants to stop running, right?"
Hearing his girlfriend's words, Marcell widened his eyes. "What are you talking about? I've been exercising a lot, can't you see my muscles?" Marcell showed off his muscular arms, which were prominent.
Weeby sneered softly. "How arrogant," she said while rolling her eyes. However, Weeby did not deny that Marcell's body was indeed good, his hand muscles were large, let alone his chest, which often made Weeby swallow her own saliva.
"Honestly, you're often fascinated by my perfect placement, right?"
"What the hell are you!"
"Admit it, it doesn't make your nose more snubbed." Marcell chuckled softly.
"Ih, what are you talking about? It's really annoying. How can I be fascinated by you, you're ugly, don't be too confident."
"Are you sure I'm ugly? Look at me one more time, I'm really handsome."
"I don't care."
"Really? Isn't it because of my face that you want to be my girlfriend? Don't dodge it, what if I get snatched by another girl?"
"Let it be, there are many other boys who are more attractive than you."
"No!"
"There are, there are many more."
"Okay, but the only one you love is me, right?"
Weeby didn't want to answer this question.
"Why are you silent?"
"Why do you have to ask?" Weeby turned the question around.
"Well, because I needed an answer from you, so I asked you. It's that simple." Marcell shrugged his shoulders.
"You already know the answer yourself, you don't need to ask me."
"So? You love me, right?"
"According to you?" Weeby said this fiercely while rolling her eyes at Marcell.
Not wanting to hear Marcell's words anymore, Weeby sped up her running. It could be bad, that boy had already launched his action. Weeby had to quickly escape from that boy.
Marcell smiled at his girlfriend, who was now running very fast. Marcell stopped running, looking at Weeby's back.
Then Marcell put both hands near his mouth, forming a funnel. Then he shouted loudly. "I assume yes. But all the same, I really love you too."
Weeby closed her eyes, her cheeks already flushed red. "Aish, this boy is really embarrassing."
They were in a public place, so of course it would attract other people's attention. Not to mention that there were many morning joggers too. But, one thing Weeby couldn't deny, she was glad Marcell said that. Weeby secretly smiled too. In fact, her chest was now pounding.
Marcell, who had fallen a bit behind, then caught up with Weeby again. It only took him a short time to keep up with Weeby's footwork.
"I guess you were smiling just now, right?"
"Ih, where was it? I didn't smile at all."
"Ah, really?"
"It's true."
"But I don't believe it."
"You don't see it, and you don't believe it anyway."
Marcell chuckled softly. "It's really annoying, even with your own boyfriend. But it's okay, I still like and love you."
"You just make me embarrassed."
"You're embarrassed?" Marcell noticed Weeby's face, which continued to stare forward. "Embarrassed why? Are you embarrassed to run in the morning with me? Really? Even though my face doesn't feel shy at all. I told you, I'm really handsome, you secretly admitted it too, right?"
"That's not the problem." Weeby was annoyed with herself. "You embarrassed me by shouting incoherently earlier."
"I see."
"Alright, I'm going to walk first. I'm already tired, you're talking to me while I'm still running, it's draining my energy." Weeby now took a deep breath, then let it out a lot. She looked at Marcell straight away after that.
Marcell, of course, walked beside Weeby. The boy continued to grin incoherently.
"Try explaining what you said earlier."
"Can't you guess for yourself? You attract people's attention by shouting like that. I'm embarrassed."
"Why are you embarrassed?"
"Aren't you embarrassed?"
"Me?" Marcell pointed at himself. The boy then shook his head. "Nothing, I'm normal. I even like it, after all you are my girlfriend By. I really love you."
"Yes, I know that too. But do you really have to shout like that?"
"You can't? The important thing is that I'm satisfied. There's no need to be embarrassed, why should I bother other people?"
Weeby shook her hand, she chose not to discuss it. "Never mind, I don't want to discuss this anymore. I'm tired, let's buy some drinks first."
"Okay, let's go to the park first, then, find a bench to sit on, and after that, I'll find some drinks."
"No, I don't want to be left alone. I just want to come with you." Weeby refused.
"You seem to really like sticking to me? I'm really alluring, no wonder you don't want to stay away from me. Right?" Marcell giggled softly.
"You're really lawful to be blasphemed for a long time. Alright, let's go get a drink, then go to the park, we'll sit and talk there."
Weeby immediately pulled Marcell's wrist. The two of them were now walking. Marcell felt so happy just because Weeby was holding his hand. Marcell didn't argue, he liked this.
Then, they already had two bottles of mineral water that they bought when a man passed by. Marcell ordered the cold one, while Weeby chose the normal one. Both of them had already chugged a little to quench their thirst.
"After this, do you want to continue or just end the run?" Marcell asked Weeby a question.
"Just end it, I'm too tired already."
"It hasn't been that long, but it's okay, the important thing is that I can be alone with you."
"Are you happy?"
"I'm really happy, aren't you happy to be alone with me?"
"Not really."
"You, lie. No way."
"That's just how it is." Weeby walked faster and faster.
"Liar, you're a liar. You love me too, come on, admit it." Marcell chased Weeby from behind. Then, the boy laughed and scolded. "Come clean right now!"
Unable to stand it because Marcell was so loud, Weeby finally gave in. That was her choice. "Yes, I confess. Are you satisfied now?"
"Very satisfied, I see." Marcell's laughter then flowed softly.
"If you want to run, that's fine too, I can wait for you. The point is, I'm already lazy, I just want to sit around."
"It's no fun alone, I'll just follow you, Weeby."
"Hm, whatever you want."
"It's not called a morning run together. We've been chatting most of the time."
"That's fine too, the important thing is that we ran earlier," said Weeby. "I'm already sweating, and so are you. I already feel healthy."
It was true what Weeby said. The two of them continued walking until they finally reached the park. But before stepping into the place, Marcell saw something.
"There's someone selling porridge, do you want some, By? Let's eat it all at once. Do you want it?"
"I'd love to, but you're my treat, right?"
"Don't worry, I'll pay for you. Come on!" It was Marcell who pulled Weeby's hand this time. The two of them arrived and immediately mentioned their orders.
"Two porridge, the complete package. Just wrap it up." Marcell mentioned his order.
"Okay, ready, waiting."
"Yes. Don't use plastic containers, we want to eat in the park. Is it available?"
"There is, just calm down, no need to worry anyway."
"Okay!" Marcell answered firmly.
While waiting for the order to be made, Marcell and Weeby looked at the surrounding atmosphere, which was currently crowded. Then, Novan could feel that his cell phone was ringing, so he checked it.
"By, this is Uti calling me again."
"Just pick it up, in case it's important."
"Okay, I'll pick up now. But you're the one talking?"
"Why me?" Weeby pointed at her chest. Shocked by Marcell's response. "Uti called you, so that means she wants to talk to you."
"Not necessarily, she could have called you first, you didn't bring your phone, right? So that's why she called me to ask you. That could be it," Marcell replied. Not wrong either, it still makes sense.
Weeby sighed. "Alright, just pick up the phone and let me do the talking. I'm also curious about what's going on. Maybe you're right that Uti already called me first. And because I'm charging my phone at home, I can't answer Uti's call."
Weeby then received Marcell's phone and swiped the green icon, and the call was now connected.
"Hello Ti?" greeted Weeby.
