Instinctual dread seized the beast, making it shrink back, tail tucked.

Mare Alera let out a cold snort. “Did I give you permission?”
Before her words had even faded, Crimson End α’s dragon wings snapped open, beating the air with a mighty gust.
In the blink of an eye, it soared overhead, looming directly above the Gale Wolf King!
“Awroo?”
The Gale Wolf King craned its neck upward, eyes wide with panic.
Speed was its pride among monsters, but before Crimson End α, it moved like a stray mutt limping along the roadside.
“Catch this.”
Under Bai Xuan’s control, the crimson dragon mecha’s talons crashed straight down on the wolf king’s skull.

With a deafening crash, the Gale Wolf King was flattened to the ground, unleashing a spine-chilling howl of agony.

The sheer disparity in strength left Three of Spades reeling, stumbling back in horror, disbelief etched across her face.

Three of Spades screamed, her voice raw. “Rip it apart!”
The Gale Wolf King struggled upright at her command, jaws gaping wide as it lunged for Crimson End α’s right arm.
But the moment its fangs clamped down, regret flashed in its eyes.
Crimson End α’s dragon scales were harder than steel. The wolf’s razor-sharp teeth shattered instantly, splintering on impact!
Toothless and humiliated, the Gale Wolf King could only whimper pitifully, retreating in a panic.
“Damn it!”
Three of Spades gritted her teeth, barking a new order: “Gale Wolf King! Use Howling Cyclone!”
“AWROOO—”
The Gale Wolf King steadied itself, channeling magic. Its Wind Horn atop its head burst with a dazzling emerald glow.
Gales swirled from all sides, converging into a raging tornado that tore toward Crimson End α.
But Bai Xuan barely flinched. Calm and unhurried, he guided Mare Alera’s Crimson End α straight into the heart of the storm.
A single beat of those mighty wings—and the mecha burst through the cyclone in a blur, reappearing right before the Gale Wolf King.
With a sweep of its talons, it struck the Wind Horn dead-on—
CRACK!
The Wind Horn snapped clean off!
The Gale Wolf King howled in agony, collapsing to the ground as pain convulsed its limbs. Its massive body crashed down...
...right on top of the woman in the Three of Spades mask!
“AAAH!”
With a single wretched scream, both the Gale Wolf King and Three of Spades met their end on the spot.
“Crushed to death?”
Bai Xuan blinked, a little stunned.
I guess, faced with a giant monster, she was just too insignificant.

Bai Xuan narrowed his eyes but didn’t press further. “Alright.”

Su Yue clasped her hands behind her again, stepping forward with a hint of mischief.
She bent slightly, tilting her face up to meet his gaze. “Have we... met somewhere before?”
Bai Xuan replied blandly, “Maybe.”

Su Yue hopped back half a step, lips curling into a hopeful smile.
