When My Edited Character Became Real Chapter 50

Chapter 50: My Ideal Type? It’s You, Miss!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Bai Yu squeezed the trigger, firing round after round until her magazine was empty.

“What’s happening? Did something go down over there?”

Several nearby deputies, alarmed, drew their own sidearms and peered in the direction Bai Yu had just unleashed her shots.

“Careful! He’s not down yet!”

Bai Yu reloaded in one swift motion, her warning sharp and urgent.

She’d barely finished speaking when a figure strode out from the shadows, his lips curled in a cold, mocking smile.

“So you managed to spot me… In that case, I’ll just have to eliminate all of you.”

“Shit!”

“Open fire!”

At the sight of the man wearing the Four of Spades mask, everyone pulled their triggers at once.

But the bullets barely slowed him. Even as rounds tore through his flesh, the wounds closed almost instantly, as if time itself rewound his injuries.

“He’s… regenerating?”

Bai Yu’s brow furrowed. Ordinary firearms were useless. They’d need something far heavier.

“Old Chen! Bring up the grenade launcher!”

“On it!”

Old Chen hurried to switch weapons. But before he could even raise the launcher, Four of Spades lunged, closing the gap in a blink. He sneered, “Did you really think I’d give you the cha—”

Bang!

He never finished. Bai Yu’s knee slammed into his midsection, sending him flying several meters back.

In the same motion, she snatched the grenade launcher from Old Chen, pivoted, and unleashed a barrage at Four of Spades.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Amid the thunderous detonations, Four of Spades barely managed to shield himself with all six of his arms.

Even so, the blasts shredded his limbs, and this time his regeneration couldn’t keep up with the devastation.

Yet he showed no panic. His voice dropped to a chill.

“A woman… You’re a Supernatural?”

Bai Yu gave no answer. She simply kept firing, calm and relentless.

Soon, the grenades ran dry.

“Out of ammo?”

Four of Spades twisted his lips into a cruel grin. “Now, it’s my turn—”

“AAAAH—!”

He never finished the sentence. Something invisible ripped him clean in half at the waist, tearing his body apart in a spray of blood.

“W-what the hell—?!”

Four of Spades collapsed in a widening pool of crimson, eyes frozen in disbelief.

A figure drifted down from above, hovering effortlessly in midair.

“Li Hongyou! Weren’t you in the city? How did you get here?!”

Four of Spades shrieked in shock.

“Was I?”

Li Hongyou shrugged, utterly unfazed. “Maybe.”

“You…!”

“Damn it!”

“Fucking Plum Blossom Three, useless bastard!”

“She—!”

BOOM!

A crushing, invisible force smashed down from above. In an instant, Four of Spades was nothing but a bloodstain on the ground.

“Her ability… it’s even stronger now?”

Bai Yu stared, stunned. She could feel it—Li Hongyou’s telekinesis had grown even more formidable than before.

But as Bai Yu reeled, Li Hongyou herself was just as surprised.

From what she’d seen, Bai Yu had already surpassed the limits of ordinary humans.

“Guard the villa. I’ll take care of the rest of the Puppets.”

“Understood.”

With that, Li Hongyou soared off, streaking toward another battlefield…

Everything unfolding was transmitted perfectly to Bai Xuan through Mare Alera’s Legendary Perspective.

“Master, need me to step in?”

Mare Alera crouched by the window, her voice brimming with anticipation.

“Not yet.”

Bai Xuan shook his head.

Still, he couldn’t help but be taken aback—Li Hongyou’s strength had soared yet again? No wonder she was called the strongest rookie Investigator. Her growth was downright monstrous…

As these thoughts flickered through his mind, Bai Xuan glanced at the woman sitting across from him—the fake Li Hongyou.

She sipped her extra-sweet lemon tea at her leisure, a faint, playful smile curving her lips.

Sensing his gaze, the fake Li Hongyou shot him a sidelong glance.

“What are you staring at, kid?”

Bai Xuan blurted out, “Miss Li Hongyou, there’s something I’ve always wanted to ask you. May I?”

“Go ahead.”

“Um, Miss Li Hongyou…”

He scratched his nose, then asked, “Have you ever… dated anyone?”

“?”

The fake Li Hongyou blinked, caught off guard. Her eyes narrowed, curiosity piqued.

“What, kid—are you trying to hit on me?”

“No, no, it’s not like that!”

Bai Xuan waved his hands frantically. “You’re gorgeous, but you’re not really my type.”

“Oh?”

Her interest was clearly piqued. “Then, what is your type?”

“That’s private! I can’t just tell anyone that.”

Bai Xuan shook his head, feigning reluctance.

“If you tell me…”

The fake Li Hongyou propped her chin in her hand, smiling slyly, “I’ll keep treating you to good food. But if you don’t… well, our friendship ends here~”

“?”

Bai Xuan put on a show of agonizing over it, then finally sighed in defeat.

“Fine, fine! I like older women—those with a commanding presence.”

“And?”

“She has to have an incredible figure—so curvy you can’t even wrap your arms around her waist.”

The fake Li Hongyou gave a soft laugh, but her tone held a sudden chill.

“So, all you care about is superficial pleasure? Don’t you value anything deeper, like Spirit?”

“Of course I do!”

Bai Xuan rattled on, “Ideally, she’s successful and independent—a real boss. I don’t mind if she’s a few years older than me, either.”

“Oh? Go on.”

“My favorite is long, wine-red hair. Natural curls are a bonus—the kind that just begs to have your fingers run through it.”

“?”

Her gaze sharpened, a flicker of bewilderment in her eyes.

“Anything else?”

“Well…”

Bai Xuan pretended to think it over, then added, “If she’s willing to cosplay for me, that’s perfect. You know, dressing up as different characters and all that.”

“Is… that so?”

The fake Li Hongyou forced a strained smile, clearly at a loss for words.

Because every single trait Bai Xuan listed was just… far too specific.

Wasn’t he basically describing her?

What truly unsettled her was how sincere Bai Xuan sounded—like he meant every word.

Not that she was embarrassed his ideal type seemed to be her.

No, what bothered her was the creeping suspicion: Did Bai Xuan already know her true identity?

But… he was just a student—

That’s impossible.

It couldn’t be…

Unless—

Meanwhile, Bai Xuan was just as startled by her reaction.

He’d only rattled off a few preferences, but hadn’t expected her to react so… strongly.

It was as if he’d accidentally struck her biggest nerve!

Wait a minute.

Did everything he just said really match her perfectly?

High status? Powerful?

Long, wine-red hair?

Big, natural waves?

Can change her appearance at will?

Damn…

That’s impressive!

“Ahem!”

Bai Xuan cleared his throat. “That’s all. You can’t tell anyone my secret, alright?”

“Heh~”

The fake Li Hongyou gave a meaningful chuckle, then rose to her feet.

“Come on, I’ll take you home.”
