THE THREE WARRIORS helped move Alpha Drake into the cave. Everyone settled in a room to hear his explanation for his behaviour a while ago.
"There are only ten pack warriors left in my pack," Alpha Drake began to explain. He was seething in rage as he remembered what had happened to the Dark Region previously. He felt as if they were suddenly plagued by an unknown bad luck, forcing them to the edge of a cliff. "Some of the women are fine, but those who became pregnant lost their child," he howled, turning to Alinta, "Your medicine killed our future offspring!"
Alinta let out a snort. She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "Correction: the medicine you greedily took from me without my permission; I was hoping you could at least tell me how grateful you are; with that, I can let everything pass us by and be bygones; instead, what I received was you blaming me for something bad that happened to you."
"What medicine?" Elder Kirin inquired, frowning. Alinta observed that he had not stopped frowning since their arrival.
"A medicine that could make you pregnant," Alpha Drake murmured.
All eyes were immediately drawn back to Alinta. She seemed to notice that she was getting a lot of attention lately.
"Those medicines are difficult to make," she explained, especially to Severino, whose eyes were heated red. "I could only make one out of a hundred."
Alpha Drake sneered. "There were three bottles left and—-"
"And I only let one be consumed by Luna Hyacinth," she cut the stupid alpha off, "Why do you think I only gave you one bottle when there were three more?" She stood up and gave Alpha Drake a menacing stare, "I am not like you; greedy and ungrateful. I used to look up to you and think of Luna Hyacinth as my mother. Despite not getting anything in return for doing good things for you, I still helped you with those rogues, healed Luna Hyacinth of her curse, and then helped her get pregnant."
"We allowed you to live in the pa—-"
"Do you fucking think I won't be able to live alone in a forest or two? Do you really think I can't take care of myself?" she clicked her tongue, "I may not be the strongest being in this realm right now, but I am one of the most powerful, and I can live here without you; thank you very much!"
Alpha Drake's gaze lowered. Alinta's eyes made him shiver unexpectedly. He was sweating profusely and gulping.
"Now," Alinta continued sternly, "you can only blame yourself for everything that has happened to you; it's called karma."
"No, no, no," Alpha Drake said, shaking his head. "Those bottles were poisoned. You poisoned us! When the women consumed those bottles of medicine, they did get pregnant, but how come they lost their children after a week? You cursed them! I am certain of it!"
"As I said," Alinta exhaled deeply, "I only let one bottle be consumed because it was the only perfect one. Those other three were incomplete. Those bottles of medicines could help a woman conceive, but the certainty is only 10%. If you can't understand those words, you might as well kill yourself. You're consuming too much of my patience!"
Alpha Drake gazed blankly at his hands. He could hear himself gasping as they trembled uncontrollably. Was he to blame? Is it truly his fault? No, no, no, no! It shouldn't be! He was only concerned with his pack; thinking of their well-being. He only wanted the pack to be happy, to be the strongest; so, why this happened? Gasping, he clutched his hair tightly. The Dark Region Pack no longer exist. Only ten unmated pack warriors remained, with only three women surviving after miscarriages. So, how could they still be considered as a pack?!
"The death of your pack's women is now solved," Luke trailed off, tapping his fingers on the table. He was staring at the table blankly when he abruptly turned to face Alpha Drake. "What happened to the men?" he wondered. "I don't think they drank the medicine knowing it would result in pregnancy, am I correct?"
"Pfft!"
When Alinta looked to the right, she noticed Cross and the blonde covering their mouths. These two seemed unconcerned about the situation. They still have the audacity to laugh at the situation.
Alpha Drake jerked his head up. When he looked at Luke, his eyes were wide open. "That's right! We welcomed new women into the pack. But when—- but when..." his eyes moved quickly, "Those pack warriors we asked to mate with them ended up dead, even Tyler," Alpha Drake gave Alinta a look when he mentioned Tyler's name.
'Why was he staring at me? ' Alinta pondered. Tyler had nothing to do with her.
"Women?" Luke repeated.
Alpha Drake vigorously nodded his head. "Ten women came to us, asking for a place to stay. We investigated their backgrounds and found nothing suspicious, so we accepted them wholeheartedly. And since we got the medicine from Alinta, we were hoping for them to conceive children for the pack as soon as possible." He took a deep breath before continuing, "All those pack warriors who mated with the new arrival women died."
"How did they look?" Lila inquired. "I mean, when those men died, how did they look? Did they look like people sucked out of blood?"
"How did you know?" Alpha Drake was perplexed. "When we arrived at their houses, all the men looked like skeletons, with nothing left on them except their skins."
"Those women must have had something to do with the curse," Cross said.
"Where are they now?" inquired the blonde.
"They were killed by Alinta's medicine."
Alinta's brow furrowed. What the hell? She had no idea her medicine was poisonous.
"Then there's nothing left for us to do but wait for the elders to awaken," Luke sighed.
Once again, all eyes were drawn to Alinta.
"I want my own room," Alinta snapped her fingers, and the bag of ingredients appeared. "No noise, no disturbance, no nothing. I'm about to perform a ritual, so I'll need some peace of mind and your freaking cooperation."

Meanwhile, Kara and the other women had just arrived in the territory of the Blood Clad Pack.
"No one alive left?" Kara inquired. Her gaze was fixed on Jug.
"Rest assured, everyone was wiped out," Jug replied. "Be careful, your life is still the priority," he sighed.
Kara smiled. She took Jug's hand in hers and stroked her cheek with it. "I will, but you should be cautious as well, and take care of Lady Luna."
Jug nodded. He kissed Kara on the head, on the tips of her nose, and on her lips before finally leaving with his men. Their presence was unnecessary to the ritual. They would just get in the way. So, no matter how badly he wanted to stay, he couldn't.
Then, Kara and the other women started drawing circles and ancient scriptures on the ground. The gemstones were ready, and the force was ready; all that remained was for them to cast the spell. The new world would soon begin, and the women would no longer be forced to work as slaves for the men. They would soon create a world without injustice!
