Chapter She doesn't belong to me

I couldn’t stop smiling as I watched Ivana dance with the new choreography teacher. Her every shout makes it so funny, but deep down I was happy, happy that she was spotted by that lady.

I shook my head, she was truly clueless, she lost her steps each time, Ava would always hold her up and the reactions on Ivana’s face was so cute. I can’t wait to tell her how badly she has done.

The practice ended and I watched her hold her waist and her step changed as she leaned to Kate before walking out, this must be tough.

Director Donald and the two female choreography teachers walked out of the hall, followed by the others. I quickly got up when I saw the girl who had set her foot for Ivana to trip and get up to leave.

I purposely set my foot and she tripped and fell and this time her forehead hit the hard surface. “Who was that?!” She shouted as she turned around holding her sore forehead, but she became silent when she saw me.

“Does it hurt?” I asked indifferently, I was not going to pretend I didn’t do it on purpose because I did and I don’t care what she thinks. “I truly hope it does,” I smirked, looking at her coldly as she looked down at her feet before walking out of the practice hall.

“Hey, Robin.” I heard Hinn Carlos call out to me and I turned to look at him with a frown, I was sure he had already seen what I did to that girl and was so mad at Hinn Carlos that I wish to smirk him on the face right now.

“What?” I asked coldly.

“Let’s talk.” He told me but I scoffed.

“I have nothing to say to you, so get lost.” I turned to leave but he held me back. “Let me go now that I am asking you nicely,” I said.

“Why, what would you do? You can’t hurt a fly, you always act so strong since you are so weak.” Hinn whispered. “I just want to talk to you about the deal we made with Ivana, I hope you let her go since we have talked about this before, you can’t love someone so stop acting like you can and stop interfering in her life by doing things behind her back.”

Hinn Carlos and I have never had any reason to fight before, whereas I didn't want to get my hand dirty by fighting with someone who had helped me in the past, but I didn’t mind punching him right now for using my weakness against me.

Bang!

I punched him across the face and he stepped backwards letting go of my hands. Hinn Carlos looked at me as I saw blood spill from the corner of his mouth. He touched it and looked at me.

“Is this how you want to do it, Robin?” Hinn looked at me and just then I saw Ivana holding her lips and Kate looking at me with an uncertain look.

I thought she had left already, why were they both hanging around?’

“Hinn, are you okay?” Ivana rushed over to his side and looked up at his face with a worried expression.

“I am fine…”

“You are bleeding Hinn, we should go treat it,” Ivana said without hesitation and I wanted to laugh but held it in.

I looked at both of them, what was I thinking? She was his boyfriend. Look who said she would teach me how to love.

“Robin, you went too far!” Ivana glared at me. “Hinn let’s go,” Ivana told him as she led him away and Hinn turned to me with a smirk on his face.

I looked at Kate, she didn’t say anything to me, she just went on with them. I tucked my hands into my pocket and shook my head as I watched them leave.

“I know it would all end like this,” Ryan said behind me as he came close to me. “You liar.” He cursed me. “You said she was your girlfriend, but I guess you are wrong, she only lives in your mansion, but her heart is not with you,” Ryan looked at me. “Hinn was right, you look pathetic.”

“Just shut up Ryan and don’t try to annoy me, you should focus more on clearing the air between you, Katherine and the boys.” I brushed past him but he followed me behind, just like the girl I remember.

“That mess was not created by me Robin, I was only entangled in it, just like you are now.” I faced Ryan with a frown.

“Hey, Ryan, stop acting this way, it is not good for you, your case is worse than mine so stop looking for people to share your woe with. Don’t try to compare me with you, nor try to say Ivana is an outcast like you.” I told him indifferently and Ryan stepped back.

“Robin, did you hear all the things I said to Ivana at the practice hall?” He looked surprised. “Wow, do you have superpowers? The distance from where I sat is far from where you sat.

“Perhaps you don’t know Ryan, I know you so well and know what you can say, just like Ivana said, I hope you stay away from her and stop talking silly whenever you meet her,” I warned him.

“You love her too much, why don’t you tell her and take her away from Hinn Carlos, you know he doesn’t love her as much as you do, if he did he wouldn’t make a deal with you in the first place and he wouldn’t suddenly change his preference when he saw your interest in Ivana, whereas this was the same thing he did in the State with Ava,” Ryan said, making me remember what I wanted to forget.

“Ryan, me, you and Hinn Carlos know that I am not good for Ivana…”

“You keep lying to yourself Robin, you are and will always be good for the person you love so forget your cold past…”

“She doesn’t love me.” I retorted and Ryan pressed his lips together. “She loves Hinn Carlos and you can see it, no matter how friendly she tries to be with me, she still loves Hinn Carlos.” I run my hands through my hair.

“But…”

“Ryan, stop.” I looked at him. “I don’t want to be like my father who left my mother, I don't want to break Ivana’s heart, and I don’t want to be like my mother who loves my father but couldn’t have him because he loves someone else.”

“If I love Ivana, I may break her heart just like my mother’s heart was broken and that may consume her. If I love Ivana so much knowing that she loves Hinn Carlos, I may become toxic and end up being a drunk like my mother was in the past…”

“It is a two-way thing Ryan, no matter who loves who, it is still the same result, I am not…” My voice came out hoarse. “I am not going to hold onto her, no matter how I try to think I can make it work, but all I still come up with, the conclusion was always to let her go, and I will do just that and let this drama and feelings I have all go away.

I shut my eyes to calm myself down before opening them to look at Ryan who was watching me with a sad expression.

“Ryan, Ivana doesn’t belong to me, she belongs to Hinn Carlos or whoever she wishes to love, I should stop deceiving myself.” I turned around and walked away.
