Chapter FIFTY-EIGHT

"Good morning sunshine!" I shouted as I looked out the window. I feel energetic about my awakening today because my dream is so beautiful. I dreamed that Jr. and I were getting married.

Ayie, I'm thrilled and I hope that dream will come true. But before that dream of mine happens, maybe I need to answer Jr. first. The ugly thing is if you get married right away and there is no answer.

"Hey!" I looked down and saw Mama watering her plant so I smiled.

"Oh Ma, why are you still here?" I ask. "You should be at the flower shop!" I added.

“I'll just finish watering the plants first. Come here and you will be the one to continue, you will be awake so that I can leave,” she called me.

"Wait!" I shouted then changed my clothes and quickly went down.

"Morning Pa," I greeted Papa when I saw him busy arranging his goods online.

"Morning, where are you going?" he asked.

"I'll just replace Mama with watering so she can go to the shop to open." Dad nodded and went back to fix it.

I saw that Mama turned off the faucet first and when I got closer she handed me the hose.

"Oh, just turn on the faucet," she said. “Just be hard to turn because it's a bit broken. It hasn't been replaced yet because your father doesn't have time because can't keep up with the number of orders.”

"Ok," I replied then took the hose and she entered the house.

When she came out again, she was already carrying her bag and then left.

"Bye Ma!" I shouted but she didn't answer because she was walking so fast.

I pointed the hose on the flower and then turned on the faucet but didn't want to open it. I turned the faucet again but it was really hard.

"Shit, this is so hard." I lowered the hose and then turned the faucet with full force but it looks like my crank was strengthened and the water hissed loudly. The water overflowed.

"What the-----," I said annoyed because the water was cold and it really hit me so my body was very wet. Fortunately, mama's garden even on the side of the road has long plants so no one can see me here inside.

Unless someone peeked at me.

I finished the watering and because I enjoyed what I was doing I occasionally wet my body while dancing. I was still singing while grinding and feeling the model of the drink running water from my head.

"Ehem." I faced the one who sneeze and my eyes immediately widened when I saw Jr. standing at the gate. The eyes narrowed staring at me.

I quickly lowered the hose and covered my body.

“Hey, I haven't even answered you yet, you're already sneaking on me.”

“Am I really? Well, you know how to dance there. Then look at the one you are wearing thin and you can almost see your soul.” There was a bit of annoyance in his voice.

"Why is this our house?"

"Your house is open again."

“Is it open? there are fenced plants.” He narrowed his eyes even more. "What do you need?" I asked pretending to be disgusted. I don’t have to let the water know if he runs out. It’s more important to cover up my pride than that.

"I'm here to take you for a walk."

"Why?"

"What, why?"

“Why are we going for a walk?

"I just want to, get dressed so we can go."

"Wow, are you demanding?"

He scratched against her and then covered both palms.

"Please," he pleaded. Fortunately, I also finished watering Mama's plant.

"Wait there for a while and I'll take a bath," I said then walked but stopped immediately. "But please feed me breakfast because I haven't eaten yet." He thumbs up so I quickly went up to the bedroom to take a shower.

AFTER tidying up I went down immediately. I just wore a white dress up to the stump and with flowers. As I descended I saw Jr. fondly talking to papa. The two of them were still laughing as if they were about to have a heart attack because of too much laughing.

When they saw me, they turned to me at the same time and stopped talking.

"Where are you going?" dad asked Jr. when I could get close to them.

"Ah, I'm just going for a walk, Mia looks pale so I'll just go for a walk."

“Jr, you take care of my son! Keep her smile always.”

"Will I always be tickle her?" Jr. asked.

“Well, if you can, go ahead and do it. Tie it up too.”

"Dad, I'm your child." I even pointed myself out to Dad.

"All right, go away and have lunch here." I haven’t even had breakfast, now lunch right away.

Jr and I out of the house and started walking around I didn’t know where we were going.

"Papa likes you!" I said.

"Of course, they see I'm sincere with you." I wanted to chuckle but of course, I didn’t show up.

“Where are we going? We've been walking for a while and then we haven't eaten yet, I'm already hungry!” I complain.

“We haven’t even walked ten minutes. Go hungry first so that later you can eat more.”

"Where are we really going?"

“Everywhere, we just go around and around Sta. Teresita, we will rest at the gym and have breakfast there.” So he really just wanted to exercise and included me.

As I walked, I looked at what we were going through. The beauty of Sta. Teresita looks like a mini Baguio. In fact, it is just one barangay but has its own hospital, church, cemetery, school, gym, and plaza. You have nothing to find in this place because almost everything is already here.

Suddenly I stopped at a house where there were flowers outside the gate. I approached a rose plant with lush petals. The unique rose that was so overgrown with openness grabbed my attention. It is red in color and apart from the spread that is the size of her petal.

"Do you like it?" Jr. asked me.

"Beautiful right?" I asked too.

"I'm asking you, do like it?" I just smiled at him.

"Yeah!"

"People are really changing, you used to plan to kill your Mama's plants. Now you are very comfortable with the plants.” I smiled because he said then touched the rose.

“You said, look at them in a positive way. So I obeyed and it was really fun to watch them.”

"Lookout." I frowned at what he said.

"What look-out?" I wondered.

"I will steal that rose."

“Hey, are you crazy? Later, the owner will catch us and charge us,” I complained. "Our case is ugly by chance. We have our own flower shop and I will steal flowers."

"That's why you lookout so we don't get caught."

“Don't start. Have a pity for that poor rose.”

"What poor?"

"Because you're going to separate that from ----" I didn't finish what I was going to say because I was surprised when Jr. suddenly broke the rose branch.

“It will not be miserable because it will have roommates in your house. If you want, take it.” He winked at me, but instead of trembling, I feel pity because he stole the flower.

"Thief," I whispered with a frown.

"I heard that."

"What do you call what you did?"

"Ah!" he put his fingers on his chin.

“Don't think, it's really called a thief. Because you took it without letting the owner know. Give me that.” I snatched the flower from him and then smelled it. "I'll take it home to have a partner."

As we were about to walk away from where we were standing, the dog suddenly barked inside the house. Jr. immediately grabbed my hand and ran quickly while pulling me.

The dog didn't chase us because it was inside but when we both ran, we overcame the flash at high speed.

When we were a little farther away we then stopped while I was holding my knee.

"Y-you're really an animal." I gasped as he held both of his thighs.

When we recovered a bit, he immediately looked at me and then laughed.

"You ran fast." I narrowed my eyes at him in annoyance.

When I realized what happened I immediately laughed. He also laughed and come closer to me.
