Chapter SIXTY-SIX

I waited two hours for Jr. because we talked about watching the show here at home. I bought popcorn and some chips but until now he hasn’t. This is the first time he has been late.

I am here at the gate waiting for him.

"I'm sorry I'm late." My eyes narrowed when I could smell his mouth smelling of alcohol.

"Did you drink?" I asked but he avoided looking at me.

"Let's go in, I also have some extra chips." He was with me while holding my waist.

"Jr.,"

At the same time, we turned to call Jr. who was none other than Amanda. Jr. was surprised when he saw Amanda. She approached us and looked at me once the rolled her eyes then looked at Jr. then smiled. "I think I left my wallet in your car, I don't know how to contact you so, I came here to check."

I could also smell alcohol on this woman.

"You're together?" I asked but Jr. only answered with a sigh. Amanda smiled at me.

I ignored them and was shaken to go inside. I also don’t care if Jr follows me or not.

I went straight up to the bedroom and locked myself in there. It’s annoying and I honestly don’t know what I’m going to feel. I’m disgusted that I don’t understand.

Three faint knocks accompanied by a call from Janel I heard.

"Mia!" but instead of answering, I pretended asleep. I took the blanket and then covered it.

The door opened but I ignored it.

"Mia, let Jr. explain first." I ignored Janel and I also didn’t remove the blanket.

Since no answer was received from me I heard the door close again.

Do they drink together? He knew we have a plan to meet. After they drink, what did they do? What did they do after that? Annoyingly, I feel like I'm going to explode in anger. Until I couldn't hold back my tears either.

He didn't lie to me before, but why is he lying now just because of that woman? How can I be sure that he just lied now? We haven't been together all day.

What if he used to keep it a secret from me, so he just doesn't care that he's keeping it a secret from me now.

I kept thinking more and more badly because of what happened, I felt like I was slowly losing my trust in Jr. And I feel, the former Mia has returned with no self-confidence.

I didn't realize that I had fallen asleep thinking. I look at the clock at ten o'clock in the evening. That's why my stomach is going crazy because I'm looking for food.

I went down to find something to eat. But when I came out the door there was Jr. standing and obviously waiting for me.

“Why are you still here? Go home,” I said then continued downstairs. He followed me as I went downstairs.

"Mia, let me explain first."

"Okay, I understand." Then I face. “You don't have to tell me all your actions and movements. You have a life of your own and your life does not just revolve around me. Ok, I understand.” I turned around to continue when he suddenly grabbed my hand.

"Mia." I could do nothing but stop and face him. “I was invited to a friend's son's baptism. I didn't know she was there. We are together because I send her home because my friend asked me.” I removed his hand from my arm.

"I don't need an explanation, I need food because I'm hungry." I ignored him and just went straight to the kitchen.

I noticed that he still followed me.

"You want to eat? Come along, nothing is stopping you.” I offer him.

"Mia."

“If you don't want to, don't. But don't stand there like a guard because I can't eat well.” I just heard her deep sigh.

"I'll just come back tomorrow when you're ok," he said while turning away.

“Don't come back tomorrow, we will only meet on the wedding day. So that you still have time to think about whether you will come or not.”

"Mia!" he rebuked me then approached. "What are you saying?" His voice was a little annoyed.

"Nothing, maybe you hesitated to marry me because of Amanda." I bluntly answers as I continued to eat.

“Mia, what are you saying? Amanda and I don't have a relationship, I'm explaining but you don't listen to what I am saying, and now you included our wedding?"

I dropped the spoon and faced him.

“Don't raise your voice at me, and don't question me. It's your fault why I'm like this.” I heard him take a deep breath that was obviously holding back his anger.

“I'm sorry, Mia, I know I have mistaken. But I hope you don't involve our marriage in the conversation. Because whatever happens, I will not change my mind to marry you.”
