Right after Sophie jumped out of the windor before the Alpha and his beta’s eyes, they followed them. The Alpha transmuted. Hugo, and Terrance, however, was ordered to stand by until Edward arrive. Axel went after Rebecca and Sophie, who were headed towards the forest. He followed Sophie’s scents.
By the looked of it, Sophie indeed confront Rebecca. Rebecca probably smelled them, and it was also probably why she transmuted. To escape. That said, Sophie must have told her their plan. Which meant, she did really overheard his conversation with Edward.
But which part of it did she not like? Sophie wouldn’t act on her own if the situation was still open to discussion. She must have been displeased.
Did she hear about his decision to lock Rebecca up until she give birth? But Axel made it clear that he wasn’t going to let Rebecca go.
Unless Sophie wasn’t convinced.
Axel ran passing by each of the tall trees. He headed north, where Sophie’s scent was lingering. Though Axel cannot sense Rebecca now, he could feel a faint of Sophie’s presence. She was at full speed. Why? Axel cannot help but wonder why Sophie was so inclined to meet Rebecca. Why would she follow him? Why didn’t she talk it out with him?
What did she want to happen by following Rebecca in the woods?
Rebecca was pregnant. Whilst it was true that it could weakened her abilities, she was a high rank. She was trained in combat using her wolf form. In that state, even if Rebecca was pregnant, she could still take Sophie out.
Axel stretched out his lims and arms to reached farther as he ran, it was almost meeting every second. Until he felt Sophie stopped at a certain location. He feared the situation Sophe might find herself in, so Axel went even beyond limit.
But when he got there, Sophie was already under Rebecca’s claw, pressing her down. Her body was almost embedded with the ground. Sophie was wincing in pain.
“Let her go, Rebecca.” Axel growled. “Do not commit more sins.”
“Doing this is a sin?” Rebecca mockingly look at her. “Look at me, Axel. Your Luna was the first one to assult me.”
Axel’s eyes, who were busy with Sophie, went up to look at Rebecca. There was a faint trace of blood in her neck. The skin beside her lips was scratched. Though her body was also covered with bruises, Axel was certain it was the work of the glasses that broke when she jumped out of the window.
“You probably didn’t know…” Rebecca pressed herself harder to Sophie. “But she is one hell of a fighter. Aren’t Omegas suppose to be the weakest?”
“Rebecca!” Axel shouted. “Let her go!”
Rebecca didn’t listen to him. She continued to pressed her claw, shoving her body more to the ground. Sophie was still resisting. But her struggle to get away was more visible now. Axel could clealy tell the difference between Sophie’s normal breathing, and now. She was starting to run out of breath! Rebecca’s paw was blocking the air from Sophie’s lungs!
“I’ll just kill her right here.” Rebecca teased. “Or you can let me go now.”
“You want to escape?” Axel asked.
“Of course…” Rebecca’s head moved towards another direction.
Hugo was coming, along with Terrance. On their back was Edward, who was running on full speed. Axel felt tensed. If they were to corner Rebecca right now, she will not think twice to kill Sophie!
The next few seconds became a matter of life and death to both Axel and Sophie. As they waited for the cast Rebecca was waiting, Sophie was more struggling. Axel could not look away knowing Sophie could really die any moment!
“Rebecca, please!” Axel begged. “Please, let her go!”
“Promise me, then. That you’ll let me go.” Rebecca challenged Axel.
“A… Axel…” Sophie spoke, looking at him with evident disagreemnt. “Don’t you dare.”
“Release her first…” Axel asked as a condition.
But Rebecca did not buy it. To force Axel to surrender, she shoved Sophie’s body deeper to the ground that it started breaking. Sophie tried to catch her breath. Her body started to emit light, a sign that she was transforming back.
“Rebecca…” Axel closed his eyes tight. “Fine…”
“No!” Sophie shouted, before the light she was emiting become brighter.
Rebecca thought she would transform back to human, but Sophie’s body only became larger. For a fraction of seconds, the light blinded them. But as soon as it subsided, they immediately noticed the changes on Sophie’s form. Her fur became white. She became larger. Her eyes turned red. The struggling Luna Rebecca was pushing down to the ground became different. Both in appearance and strength.
“The Luna…” Hugo, who just arrived, stopped after he witnessed what had happened to Sophie.
The other beta, and Edward, was the same. It was almost as if Sophie was a different wolf anymore. Her scent also became stronger. They stood in awe, stunned by their Luna’s transformation.
Sophie, in one swift move, pushed Rebecca with force that Rebecca’s body flew towards the tree. Her back slammed on the trunk. Sophie stood up, as if she wasn’t struggling just a few seconds ago. Her white fur removed the dirt on its own.
It was soft and silky that it was automatically falling as she move.
“Sophie…” Axel uttered her name in astonishment.
“I told you, I’m not going to let you go.” Sophie’s tone was with finality. She walked towards Rebecca, who was getting up. “Not after what you’ve done to me.”
“You…” Rebecca threw her a glare. “What magic did you ask for Teresa to gain this strength?”
“I don’t know who Rebecca is.” Sophie further closed their distance. “I am not interested.”
Sophie overwhelmed Rebecca with her strength and size. But though Sophie’s appearance was magically beautiful, Rebecca feared it.
Rebecca tried to get away, but Sophie was quick to react. She stopped Rebecca on her tail using her paw. Sophie did not even hold back herself. Rebecca’s body arched in pain, as she felt her crushed tail. She felt weakened.
“Sophie…” Axel called her name. He stepped-forward.
“Do not come close…” Sophie’s words words precise. “I’d kill anyone who would dare to interfere.”
“Sophie…” Edward called her name. “Please, let’s talk this one. Rebecca is pregnant.”
“So was I, Edward.” Sophie coldy replied, moving her paw once again to crush one of Sophie’s limbs. “So was I.”
“Even if you kill me right now, you won’t have your child back!” Rebecca shouted, further provoking Sophie who was already wrathful enough to kill her. “Killing me will not bring your child back---”
Sophie, who was stirred by Rebecca, attacked her in the neck using her canines. She deeply sanked the sharpness of her fang to her right arm. Rebecca shrieked, before her skin emitted light.
“Sophie…” Edward’s eyes reflected fear. “Please.”
But Sophie became deaf to Edward’s plea. She did not listen, even to Axel who was ten trying to stop her. Rebecca’s body transformed back to human, but it was not enough for Sophie.
Sophie lifted Rebecca’s frail body using her mouth. She turned around, dragging Rebecca by her arm. Now that Rebecca had turned back, the injury became more visible. It also became larger, that one more harsh move and Rebecca’s arm will surely fall. Sophie’s teeth were large enough to occupy Rebecca’s body. And it that way, Rebecca was not able to do anything.
“I’m not giving Rebecca back to you, Edward. Unless she’d dead.” Sophie heartlessly threw Rebecca’s body, assured that she no longer have the ability to escape with her current condition. “I am also not afraid. So, name the price, Edward.”
“Sophie, please.” Axel tried to step forward, but Sophie forbid it.
The ground mysteriously shake. The blows of the wind became harsh. Like it was mirroring Sophie’s emotions. Everything that was happening was beyond anyone’s understanding. But there was one thing they were sure about.
Sophie is not going to let Rebecca live.
“I told you…” Sophie’s head turned to Rebecca. “Anyone who dares to interfere will die, Axel.”
“Sophie...”
“You...” Sophie started walking towards Rebecca with bloodshed in her eyes. “Shall die in the hands of this temporary Luna, Rebecca.”
