Chapter 13

Rebecca is at a loss for words because her tongue is being held captive; yet, she cannot believe that her reputation is being sullied in such a manner, particularly by Axel, whom she did not anticipate doing so. Rebecca can't believe it.

She felt horrified by the way the two men were looking at her, and they were looking at her.

She was about to leave to avoid experiencing whatever it was that she was feeling.

Rebecca took a deep breath before speaking. "I was the one who ordered him to capture Sophie, but as to where her sister is, I have no clue," she added after holding her breath.

"I didn't even meet her, my Lord." Rebecca's teeth were clenched as she bent in shame, and she decided to turn around so that she would never have to confront Axel's icy look again.

Rebecca, who was on the verge of leaving the lair, called out to "Your Lady, Please help me!"

The maiden's progress was interrupted as a result of Terrance's words.

After being embarrassed a lot more than she had been before, Rebecca quickly took another step toward getting out of that scary room.

There was not the slightest indication of pity to be observed on Axel's face.

Terrance had an unexplainable dislike for Rebecca, and even though he helped her when she was in trouble, the only thing that kept him busy was putting the tribe's hierarchy back in place to have a proper Luna.

Everyone knows that Terrance killed an Omega, even a child and that Axel knew about it.

Because of this, Omega was taught to defend themselves at all costs, even if it meant giving up their own lives because they were given no other option but to live.

Because of this too, Omega grew to hate the Lycan King, who at the time was blissfully unaware of what his followers were doing.

Terrance was unable to cope with what had occurred, and as a result, he ended up giving up, despite the glimmer of pride that he harbored inside.

"I know the location where the young girl was held captive."

"I am very sorry," Terrance spoke humbly as tears streamed from his eyes.

He was overcome with emotion because of the pain he felt as a result of what the previous Luna had done to him.

Terrance was let go after Axel showed no sign of flinching and simply nodded his head to the two.

"Because of this deed, you will be dismissed from your position, and you will be banned from visiting the castle."

"Please know that I am no longer your king and that I no longer know you if we ever cross paths on the same path," Axel said in horror.

Terrance acknowledged Axel's faith, but he never expected it to come to this point.

The declaration that Axel made was so loud that even the two people who were with them shook in fear.

When Terrance was finally freed from the chair and was able to kneel at Axel's back, he said, "Please, my Lord, do not put me in that position."

"It's the only glory that my family has..."

Terrance's voice was shaking as he pleaded with Axel, but Axel seemed mean because of what had happened before.

Axel did not bother to look at him before speaking to him, saying, "You should have thought of it before receiving orders from someone that can't help you back."

Terrance didn't know what to say, and the fact that he was speechless made him not want to ask Alpha, whom he respected the most, for help.

"Ares, Ranz!"

Both of the men got to their feet and stood together before responding, "Yes, Sir!"

"Be sure to keep up with him and keep track of where the other girl is."

"If you did find her, please deliver her to me. If you aren't sure, the little girl is deaf, but I think... "

"The guy that was with you undoubtedly knew who she was," Axel said.

Axel abruptly exited the room, and as he was walking down the stairs, he noticed a familiar face, which made him feel sick to his stomach.

Axel was about to walk past her because Axel didn't want to talk to her for a moment, but as Axel passed through her, the tip of Rebecca's nose caught Axel's pure smell, which made her feel relaxed.

Axel was about to walk past her because Axel didn't want to talk to her for a moment.

"My Lord, can I talk to you?" Rebecca asked

Axel simply came to a halt and glared at her before asking, in a chilly tone, "Did you schedule a time to speak with me?"

Rebecca was taken aback by what this person was saying to her, and she couldn't handle it, so it caused her to be perplexed.

"Why are you acting like this?" she asked him.

Axel merely smirked as his eyes plummeted, "I'm going to disregard what you said, but if you ever speak ill to me..."

"Or even place an order for something that would cause Sophie harm."

"I promise you." Axel continued, and Rebecca simply sputtered.

"I won't just stand there and stare at you."

Axel's words left Rebecca feeling energized, and although she did not move from the block on which she stood, she squeezed her hand into a fist as she watched Axel, who had already reached the top of the steps and was hurrying down them.

"Putting up an imperious show? Let's see where your lack of humility gets you, shall we?" Rebecca said something under her breath as she watched Terrance being seized and dragged by two men who were inside.

"I demand you to immediately release him!" Rebecca said that the two guys just stood there and looked at each other, not sure if they should obey the old Luna or not.

"Please don't listen to her, we have a lot of work ahead of us," Terrance declared while avoiding Rebecca's gaze.

Rebecca didn't know what to do and called for her apprentice, who was nowhere near her but would appear at her side as soon as she called his name.

She was taken aback as she mocked the men walking past her.

"Rumos!"

After she yelled it, a man in all-black clothing and a cloak emerged from his side. Edward had told this man to protect her no matter what, since she had to stay in this place before they could have a ceremony for themselves.

"Yes, your grace."

Rebecca had the sensation that she was about to cry, but she suppressed the emotion and instead said, "Get the horse ready; it's time to go home."

After some time had passed,

Sophie was in a dim chamber that was filled with flowers that were shining a light on her.

The flowers were arranged in a way that made them look like a trail, and she began to follow it.

"If I follow these flowers, it would not be such a horrible idea after all; after all, they might not lead to something bad, right?"

She told herself that she wasn't sure where it would lead her, but she just followed her gut, and before she could even reach the end of it, it led her somewhere else entirely.

"Sophie!"

Sophie was startled since she had never heard a voice with that tone of voice before, a voice that sounded like it belonged to a young girl.

She looked around.

Sophie was slowly roused from her sleep by the sensation of a warm hug on her body, and when she opened her eyes, she saw a pair of concerned eyes looking at her.

"Are you feeling alright?" Axel broke into a smile when she questioned him about who was standing next to her.

Still oblivious, Sophie felt something like a warm but heavy embrace on her tummy, and as she gazed at it, a tear of delight emerged in her eyes.

"Shara!"
