AURORA’S POV
We sat on the four sides of the map and joined our hands together.
“When we give you the signal you all have to cut your palm and let the blood drip on the map. No one speaks in between. Is that clear?”
We all nodded our heads and held hands forming a circle. Zarina and I closed our eyes and started chanting the spell.
A first everything was dark but as the spell advanced, I could see glimpses of visions between the darkness but it was all hidden behind some haze…
Sensing the tug at my hands, I opened my eyes and slit open my palm. The others did the same. All the blood trickled to the center and then nothing…
“Damn! I had so much faith that this spell will work!” Zarina said tearing her hair.
“It did work… Not the way locator spell works but I saw visions. Tiara is on Earth. We can’t sense her because she is shielded by some dark magic.”
“I couldn’t see anything…” Zarina said in a bewildered voice.
“Maybe because Aurora is closer to Tiara than all of us.”
Zarina’s eyes lit up with excitement as she said, “Gosh! How could I forget this! We are bound to Tiara’s life source. I can cast a spell so that we can hear each other's thoughts. That way we can stay connected to each other at all times.”
I really loved this idea and was going to support it when Aslan spoke up, “Do you think before speaking, Zizi? It also means that our thoughts and feelings would be united. Tyson is the King, Zarina. He can’t share all his thoughts!”
Tyson’s eyes lit up with determination and he said, “You are right. I am the King. So, my decision is final. Zarina, go ahead and make preparations for this ritual.”
My heart warmed up at his decision. A man, so paranoid that he never told anyone his plans was willing to share all his thoughts to save Tiara. If this was not called change then I don’t know what was…
I squeezed his hands and looking into his eyes, I said, “Thank you.”
Pulling me into a hug, he muttered, “She is my daughter too… I am willing to destroy everything to save her and that includes me…”
Hope sprouted and spread its wings in my heart. Together, we could save our daughter and save our Kingdom too…
CALEB’S POV
Letting out a deep sigh, I jumped to my feet. The Dark Lord wanted us to meet right away.
I looked at Meredith who was sleeping peacefully. As much as I hated it, I had to do this.
The moment I shook her, she woke up with a start. “What happened?”
The panic in her voice tugged at my heart. How I wished she I could give her some peace…
“Caleb! You are scaring me now.” She said shaking my hands.
I pursed my lips and said, “The Dark Lord has called a meeting. I have a feeling that something is brewing in his mind. In case something happens, remember to follow the plan to the Tee. Everything is in your hands, Meredith.”
Her eyes brimmed with tears as she said, “Caleb, do you have to go….”
Pulling her into a hug, I muttered, “Ah! Meredith… I have no control over what is going on. You are my only chance of salvation…”
When she pulled away, her eyes were brimming with confidence. “I won’t let you down, Alpha.“
She was not a mother or a lover. Now, she was my Beta, the warrior who had waged several wars and written victory in their fates.
I had faith in her powers but this was the most challenging mission I had assigned to her. She had to fight with the mother and lover in her to see through this plan…

My legs flailed as I was suspended into the air. The Dark Lord’s voice furious voice boomed. “You dared to lie to me, Caleb! You gave me a fake stone.”
A wave of electricity coursed through me sending convulsions of pain all over my body.
“I… never… lied… I gave you the.. stone…I found in the valley. ” I managed to say between gasps.
He must have sensed my sincerity as I was released the next moment. I fell to the ground with a thud. I wanted so bad to lash out at him but it wouldn’t end well for me.
Rubbing my head, I jumped to my feet and stood with my head bowed.
“What will we do now?” I asked in a faint whisper.
“The plan will continue with just a slight change. We will attack tonight with the witches and as many werewolves as we can teleport.
Our aim is to reach Tyson and his family. We will use his daughter as leverage and make him surrender.
When I think about it this plan is simpler, easier, and better but not as much fun.
Go ahead and make preparations.” He said clapping his hands.
Soon, the crowd dispersed. I was about to leave as well but a cold hand made me stop. “You will stay with me like a shadow all the while.”
Dang! How would I communicate the change in plans with Meredith?
TYSON’S POV
A sharp knock at the door drew me out of my slumber. Jumping to my feet, I opened the door quickly.
“Aslan, Zarina what the hell are you doing here.” I glanced at Aurora and said, “I just gave her the sleeping potion. You will wake her up.”
Ignoring my statement, Zarina walked up to Aurora and used her magic to wake her up.
“Bloody hell! Did you not hear me, sister.”
“I did Tyson but it is action time.”
“The Dark Lord is gathering his troops. They will materialize on Typhoon today itself.“
“Whatever will we do? We are not prepared. I was so busy taking care of Aurora. I thought I…”
Aslan grasped my shoulder and shook me up saying, “It's okay, Tyson. I have made all the arrangements. Remember, we are in this together.”
“And I have made all the arrangements for the spell…”
“I am so sorry, Zarina. I couldn’t help you. Mr. Pighead tricked me into drinking sleeping potion.” Aurora said in a sleepy voice. She looked so cute. All I wanted to do was kiss her but this Damned war…
Zarina coughed to cover up her giggle and said, “It’s okay Aurora. You must conserve your strength. You will have to go alone to the Earth and save Tiara while we fend off the Dark Lord. If we all vanish at the same time, he will grow suspicious.”
I didn’t like this at all… If only I had a choice…
This spell turned out to be pretty easy given that we were already bound to Tiara’s life source. All we needed to do was hold hands and watch Tiara and Zarina chant some spells and Poof! Our minds were connected.
It was like a portal of sorts had been created between our minds. I could hear all their present thoughts plus my own…
I grabbed my head as I bent over in pain. Imagine beings hit by four times the thoughts and feelings you are capable of handling.
I heaved a sigh of relief when Aurora and Zarina’s thoughts were removed from the mix. It was still bad but bearable.
“Sorry, Tyson; we forgot to tell you how to raise your mental shield and communicate selectively,” Aurora said with a guilty expression. I had a feeling that this was deliberate but I let it slide.
We had more pressing matters to deal with…
