Chapter # 58

I got angry at her for something she never did, fired her and started everything with hate as instructed.

Everything was going pretty well but I couldn’t take it anymore. I don’t want any hostility among us so I asked Christian to host a dinner.

And call both me and her to end this detest and invoke the emotions I was dying all this time for- love.

But after planning everything, keeping her away from the relationship, she got engaged and it pissed me to no extent.

Knowing Candice never had a lover, I knew instantly that she is forced into the marriage and how can any outsider harm her in my presence?

I want to know how and where this guy Leon came from, when she never had a lover then how can a fiance come in between?

No, I can’t let this happen. After all these years, I can’t let them go to waste.

“W-Who are you?” Leon asked, crawling back fright, his back hitting the wall while I kept his Parents hostage.

Looking at him with a stern gaze with my hands in my pocket, standing in front of him.

“Listen, Leon. I am not here to hurt anyone… I just want to know about you and Candice.” I said calmly, hiding the murderous aura emitting from me.

“Why are you getting married?” I asked, taking out my gun and bending on one knee.

Not removing my eyes from his, watching how he cowered in terror, lost in the mystifying horror of losing his life.

“I-I like her… Her f-father is marrying her off for mo-money…” He stuttered.

“Listen, I will give you as much money as you want. Leave her.” I ordered.

“B-But… it’s me w-who is giving money…” He managed to say.

“I don’t fucking care. I don’t want you anywhere near her.” I hissed.

Tracing my gun on the side of his face to under the chin, hearing cries coming from behind.

“We will do anything to please let our son go. Please…” His Father begged.

“I can’t lose Candice.” He tried to say and I shot my empty gun and they all screamed in fear.

Ah, the sounds of endless misery.

Letting out a suppressed laugh, I took out the bullets from my pocket and reloaded my gun.

“The next shot won’t be empty.” I whispered.

“Please…”

“Fine then. Either Candice or your parents.” I said, getting up and pointing my gun at his Mother.

“Mother!!” He cried, tears streaming down their faces.

“Please... “ They begged.

“I will do anything but please let her go.” He said breathless, lost, defeated.

“Good. I will send you the money and a girl, cheat on her on the day of your marriage.” I said.

Putting my gun back and turning to him for the final time, threatening him.

“And keep it in your mind Leon, if Candice came to know-”

“I-I would never let her k-know.”

“And also, if you failed to cancel your marriage at the last moment… I wouldn’t mind marrying Candice over your grave, understood?”

Nodding hastily he managed to breath out, “Y-Yes.”

And I with a dark and sinister smirk lingering over my lips and that’s how we got married. It was all my planning, ever since I laid my eyes upon her.

What happens to her outside home has always been controlled by me.

From her job to love life, from her marriage to her current husband… everything.

At the wedding, The time where I have been finally becoming one with Candice with nothing could go wrong.

Candice went with Sophie to gather her messy form as I went to see Christian.

He was leaning on the table with his arms closed with his chest, looking at me with a smirk.

“You truly are a devil, Tyler.” He snickered, I laughed a little and closed the door behind me.

“I take that as a compliment.” I said.

“So.. Where’s he?” I asked, looking at myself in the mirror.

“I would have killed him before you did but he ran away.” I smirked.

Not saying anything, knowing Leon must have told him everything and he let him go.

“Well then, congratulations, groom.” Christian said laughing.

“You know how much I love and what she means to me.” I said, setting my hair.

“Yeah, I do. Did you tell Kathrine?” He asked.

“Yeah.. I told her that I am getting married.” I replied.

“And didn’t she come to meet you?”

“She cannot travel abroad because of her case.”

“Too bad for her.” He said. I hummed and then turned to him.

“So.. what now?” He asked.

“Nothing, just we’re gonna tell everyone that the groom has been replaced.” I said victoriously.

“Good luck for your future but dude, made sure not to become a scum like me.” Christian said.

“I know.. the reason for your marriage was different and mine is different. I know. I will try to do whatever I can to make her happy.”

“Starting by controlling your anger issues.” He added.

“Of course.” I nodded slowly.

“Because you lose your ability to think when you are angry and there are a lot of secrets between you two.” He said.

“Yeah.. I will control my anger somehow but I think I will hide my work for her.. or perhaps leave that dark world before she knows it and about that… I think she never came to know about it.” I said, lighting up my cigarette.

“You sure? She deserves to know who her husband truly is.” Christian told me vaguely.

“She was hesitant to marry the King of Shipments if she came to know I am Dark Lord, she will faint. I cannot afford it.” I told him, exhaling the smoke.

“I will end it before she ever comes to know. I won’t let this chance slip away. I am very possessive about her and you know my zeal.” I reminded him and he wanted to argue but didn’t.

I lose my mind whenever she comes.

“She needs to think about the future, not the past. Anyways, let’s go and greet my in-laws.”
