Mrs Givens POV
Where on Earth is Blue??
"Blue!!" I called harshly but no response.
Zara, Kaycee and hubby ran downstairs immediately.
"She's not in," Kay replied coldly.
Huh??
"What do you mean?..Where did she go?"I asked agitatedly.
"She went to do the right thing" Zara replied and I pushed my head .
"The right thing?.. Don't Tell me it's what I'm thinking?" I asked again.
"It's definitely what you're thinking," Kay replied.
"What's going on here?" Hubby asked .
"She went to bring back Chelsea" I replied with a hoarse voice and dropped on the seat helplessly as a tear came rolling down my cheek.
I sniffed .. " Why did you let her go?" I asked and Kaycee scoffed.
"Well since you mysteriously lost two kids.. I guess losing another won't show any effect right?" Kaycee replied brusquely.
"Kaycee .. your manners" Hubby cautioned.
"Do you think I'm happy... No, tell me!.. Do I look like someone who's happy?" I said tearfully.
"You'll only understand my pain when you have kids of your own" I stated .
"So are you willing to explain to me how you suddenly lost two kids?" Kay asked.
"I didn't mean it that way... What I meant was I don't wish to lose two kids" I said and stood up.
I ran my hands through my hair .
"I'm upstairs and also I don't need any form of disturbance " Kay said and left the sitting room.
I ran upstairs and took my bag.. I checked my phone and that woman had already sent the address.
I was about to leave the room when hubby held my hand.
He drew me back and sat me down.
"No secret can be hidden forever... So I'd just suggest right now that you'd tell these kids the truth" He said and I jumped to my feet in anger.
"What?... I can't risk their lives. Magic is dangerous '' I stated.
"But you still left that necklace on her neck for 17 years," He said .
" I know it'll be hard for you but it's better to hear it from you than from someone else" he concluded and moved away from me.
Maybe he's right... Look at me here trying to hide a secret and keep my family together at all cost and there is the other trying so hard to spill the beans.
I walked out of the house and the driver was already set.
"Good morning ma'am" he greeted me immediately as I entered the car.
I just ignored him and sat down comfortably.
"Drive me to this address " I requested and showed him.
I guess it's time to finish off what I started.
UNDERWATER
Blue's POV
I must say this... Altohan is very beautiful..
Everywhere looked entirely different from the sea itself... It looked like we were in a gigantic room with 2 doors...
Well one door was the one we used to come in and I guess the door one is used to go out.
"This place is marvelous" Melissa exclaimed and swam around playfully.
"Why is this place restricted?" I asked cos I didn't see any reason why it would be restricted.
"Well in school we were taught that Altohan was made by Zeus to punish wicked mer's .. it's kinda like a game " she said and she used her eyes to search the whole place.
"Yeah and it's a place of four complex riddles.. it gets even more complex after every door." Melissa said.
"So if it's a game-like thing then when does the game start?" I asked and Melissa shrugged.
"I don't know ... Well let's do this... Split up and search different areas of the room to find out if we can find something" Mona suggested
We actually did that.... I believe it was stressful.. It was like going on a wild goose chase. Looking for something but you don't even know it.
We searched and searched and then immediately Melissa shouted from the top... Well she volunteered to search up.
"I've found something" she shouted.. I and Mona swam up quickly .
There were writings inscripted on the wall ... Strange writings.
"What's that?" I asked in bewilderment.
"Well it looks like an ancient language, " Mona replied.
"That still doesn't tell me what that is," I said .
"It's a language called Perius... It was used in the ancient days of this city" Melissa replied.
She read it out in a strange dialect.. it sounded like an incantation to me and I looked at them confused.
"So that's what we have to do," Mona said and Melissa nodded and they both looked at me.
Well they don't expect me to understand Perius right??
"What??" I said.
"Why do you have that look on your face?" Melissa asked.
"Well... Translate" I said and they laughed.
"Oh.. okay.. sorry I forgot that you don't understand it" Mona said.
"Well it says
*The goal for you are recited in verse,
Return the Jewel and lift the curse,
And if you wish to leave the game,
Save the Jewel and call out it's name.* " She concluded.
I hate riddles
"So we have to lift the curse?" I asked.
"Well not exactly.. I mean Altohan is a cursed place. All we have to do is save the jewel." Mona said.
"What jewel?" I asked.
"Chelsea of course," Melissa replied .
Well they don't expect me to grab the hang of this already.
I looked around and my eyes caught something...
"What's that?" I asked as I pointed to an old rag with some drawings lying on a branch attached to the wall.
Mona swam to it and brought it down .
"It looks like a map" Melissa said
Finally, something to rejoice about.
"Thank goodness!!" I said happily
"But it looks like a piece of it is missing," Mona said and showed me the place.
It seems it got ripped off somewhere.... Seriously??
This had to happen when everything was finally working in my favour.
"So we have to find the missing piece" I said.
"But first let's use this map to get out of this level and move to another " Melissa said.
The map had different structures on it....
Geography is essential for all this. Too bad I'm an Art student.
"First we need to find a brick... With a matching inscription" she said.
"How do you know that?" I asked.
"Well I deal mostly in geography in school and if you look at the angle of the map and where they are standing.. it seems we are very close to them" Mona said.
Smart!!
"You see this inscription on the map on the places of the walls... We have to find those places" Mona said as she read the map.
We searched and searched ..
"I found one!" Melissa shouted.
"I found another one," I shouted.
Thank goodness and it was exactly like that of the inscription on the map.
"I found the last one" Mona shouted.
"Now what do we do?" I asked.
"Well ... I think we push each brick at the same time" she replied with scrutiny.
"Ready??" Mona said.
"I hope this works," Melissa exclaimed.
"Ready!!" I answered.
"Now.. on 3 so let's go.. 1! , 2! , 3! " she counted and everyone pushed at the same time.
The ground shook and the walls grumbled...
"What is happening??" I shouted as everyone retreated .
The whole shaking stopped and the next door opened.
"Arrrggghhh!!!" Melissa and I screamed in excitement..
"We did it!!" She said and we embraced each other.
"Will you both calm down... Level one is meant to be easy and don't forget.. door after door it gets harder" Mona explained.
But in both ways .. I was still happy.. cos I believed that since I passed level one I can get pass level two to the end.
We swam past the second door with speed.
Immediately we got in, the door shut and now we were in an enclosed room.
It didn't look any different from the other room... It's just that there was a basket sitting in the middle of the enormous room.
It looked really suspicious...
"Why's there a basket in the middle of nowhere?" Mel asked.
"There's only one way to find out," Mona said.
"Wait... Don't you think we should find the Perius stuff before checking what's in the basket" I suggested.
"That's a good idea" Mel complimented.
Mona breathed out and sighed.
"Okay" she said.
We just turned and found the Perius writing stuff.
"This one was easy to find," Mel said.
Mona looked Into the map and shook her head..
" In this part we're looking for the missing piece of the map cos level 2 cuts right Into the part that was ripped off" Mona said.
"Would someone pls tell me what the writing said?" I shouted.
"Oh sorry... We forgot " Mel apologized.
"Again??" I asked and she twitched.
"Sorry!!" Mona said.
"It says..
*What you need is in the basket,
One false move you're in a casket,
Trust one another and never blink,
The missing piece is not what you think." Mona said.
"Trust one another and never blink... What does that even mean?" I asked.
"I don't know.. a staring contest??" Mel guessed.
