Mrs Givens POV
The driver drove right into the compound...
It was a small house and it looked like a single person's apartment.
I alighted from the car and went straight to the door and knocked.
Then a lady opened the door and with the look on her face she knew who she was facing.
"You're Blue's mom?" She said in a question.
She had this dazed look on her face and I pinched myself and breathed out.
"Why am I here?" I asked ...
She ushered me in immediately.
I went in and OH MY GOD... The interior was magnificent.
It looked like I just stepped into the sea cos everywhere was painted Blue and the air conditioning was blasting high.
A silent wow escaped my lips as I stood marvelled at the door and ran my eyes through the sitting room.
"Pls take a seat" she offered and I sat down.
She sat next to me and we both stared at each other but I looked away.
"Well .. this is where I live and ..."
"Where did you get that photo from?" I asked to cut her off.
"I... I can't disclose such information now but all I want to say is...."
"Why did you tell Blue about Altohan?" I asked to cut her off again.
"Well.. I also can't tell you that but pls let me speak first" she pleaded and I bit my lower lip.
If only she knew how angry I am right now...
"You sent my only surviving daughter to a place no one has ever gone and come out .. alive or dead and you expect me to let you speak first?" I was frazzled.
"You know what.. I didn't come here to give speeches and ask about that f**king photo but you tell you this... If Blue doesn't come back with or without Chelsea you won't like what will befall you.. I can do anything for my family" I concluded and I stood up.
I was about to leave when she popped up a question.
"So she isn't family?" She asked calmly.
I looked back at her and there was a long stare.
"No... And also tell her that" I said and stormed out of the God damn house.
I sat in the back seat of the car and the driver took off.
She likes it or not.. whatever I did was for the good of everyone....
Alondra's POV
Did I hear that well or .....
"Oh God" I stated out and ran my hands into my hair due to frustration from both parties.
"So I'm actually not family" someone said and I turned..
Pearl!!!
She must have been listening to our discussion.
"She said it out loud ... Like it didn't matter who it was" She said and I shook my head.
She might act like a fool sometimes but she has feelings too.
"She's under pressure now... I'm not sure she meant what she said, ``I said, trying to console her.
Tears were beginning to form in her eyes and I just watched.
"Was I that bad that she had to leave me behind?" She asked and she wiped the tears that fell from her eyes.
"No..noo... But you weren't supposed to do what you did... You put both of her daughters' lives in complete danger .. what exactly were you expecting?" I was confused.
"All I just wanted was for her to just notice me... Ever since I came to land every single thing has been about Blue, Chelsea, Kaycee or Zara. That's not even her daughter.. but me.. where am I?" She asked and ran to her room.
Oh Pearl... I hope your side of the story gets a happy ending and so does Blue.
UNDERWORLD
Blue's POV
We sat down hopelessly on some rocks we sighted .
We couldn't understand the riddle.
"We can't just seat her... My sister needs me , we have to act fast" I said agitated.
"But we don't know what's in the basket," Mel replied.
"Why don't we just open it" I suggested and Mona scoffed.
* One false move you end up in a casket*.. I remembered that line and changed my tone.
"You know what... Let's just think first.. we don't know if something dangerous is in that basket" I said and Mel gasped.
"What??" I asked.
"*Trust one another and never blink* I think I know what that means" she said.
"Go on!" I persuaded.
"We have to trust each other.. look at us, we hardly know ourselves inside out.. so I'd suggest that we tell each other about ourselves " Mel said and it really made lots of sense.
"Yeah... Let's try that" I included.
"Well Mona ..you go first" Mel said.
"What can I say .. Everyone knows me" she said with a smile.
"Continue!!" Mel said and we chuckled.
"I have two overprotective siblings.. Annalisa and Krishya, I love everything that has to do with nature... That's why I focused mainly on Geography in school and it's even part of my powers" she said.
Her life is just like mine.. well for the siblings part .
"Nice... I guess it's my turn" Mel said.
"Well everyone says I'm the corky one... I love laughing a lot and giggling too. I have younger sisters.. Melita and Nikita" she said
I'm next.
"My life is like an open book... I used to live a simple life but my life changed Immediately... Who knew I would ever have a tail or move into magical worlds. Life has been fair and unfair after I figured out myself and till now I'm still confused" I said staring into space.
"But we are here for you okay?" Mel said and I nodded.
"And some of it is your fault... You belong to the sea but you're staying on land.. there are rules and your family broke that rule" Mona said and I scoffed.
"So you expected me to just leave everything behind and start a new life here.. do you think it's that easy?" I asked.
"Well I never said it will be easy but you pushed Pearl" she said.
"What do you mean by I pushed Pearl.. what has Pearl got to do with this issue?" I asked.
"You're so naive... Do you think Chelsea just appeared in Altohan?.. someone must have sent her there through magic" Mona elucidated.
"Pls guys.. let's focus more on the *telling each other about ourselves* part" Mel pleaded.
"So what you're trying to say is that my sister wasn't dead all this while and you knew about it" I said and Mel coughed.
"We couldn't speak," Mona said.
"Why??.. Did a cat cut your tongue?" I retorted.
"There are no cats under the sea," she replied.
"How could you??" I asked, perplexed.
"What baffles me the most is that the people I trusted couldn't tell me the truth," I said.
"Well what your family did to Pearl was that equally wrong or is it right??" She asked harshly.
What does she mean?... What did my family do to her?
"What.... What do you mean?" I asked and she scoffed.
"This isn't the time to talk about this," Mel interpolated.
"Then when is the right time?" I asked.
"I demand answers," I added.
"Everything happens for a reason... And I just hope you use that wisdom to solve the problem" Mona said and swam to the basket.
"I'm gonna open it," she said.
What did she mean by that??..
There's something I'm not getting here and I have to find out..
