Chapter 132

CHAPTER 132

AUTHOR'S POV

Lady Montana had noticed that Zendaya had not been with her all this time, and she kept talking and explaining things when the girl was not even there.

She had turned to say something when she noticed she was just talking to the air, obviously. Her daughter was not there.

She looked around and still could not find Zendaya with her eyes. Lady Montana decided to check by herself, maybe she got lost, but still, she didn't find Zendaya.

So she decided to just mind link her, "I should have done that from the start", Lady Montana laughed at herself, she just had many things going on in her head currently besides all these.

"Young lady, where are you?", Lady Montana mind linked Zendaya, but she did not get any response.

This was when she panicked, she was already getting ready to go all Mama wolf to find her daughter when the young lady tapped her, "Sorry mum, I just got carried away."

Lady Montana turned and stared at Zendaya, "This child, where were you? You got me worried sick."

"I saw some things I liked, and I just went on to move around the market, plus I got these fruits, you know how much I love fruits", Zendaya giggled.

Lady Montana shook her head and rubbed her daughter's hair, "I am glad you are okay and enjoying it here, plus we have plenty of fruits back at home."

"But not this one", Zendaya whined as she proceeded to open the bag and show her mother the fruits she got.

"Whatever, you already got them anyway", Lady Montana said, letting her daughter win.

"Hehe," Zendaya said happily as she hooked her arm around her mother's arm.

They got some things before finally heading back home.

All the way back home, Zendaya could not get Alexander her mate out of her head. She was not sure how to go about this, and she was also not sure whether she should tell her mother or father or even anyone at all.

Maybe she could bring up the question in a way that is not suspicious? Hm??

"Family, I wanted to ask something, I was just curious because I read it in a book, and so I want to understand a few things, okay?", Zendaya asked why they had dinner. Yes, there is no talking while eating, but sometimes that can be boring, they had always talked while eating, laughed and all and would always have table manners.

They just know when to stop and start, that sort of thing.

"Can humans be mates to werewolves?", Zendaya asked, keeping a neutral face, "In the book it happened, and it got me wondering too, like can other creatures be mates to werewolves?"

The silence was loud in the room and Zendaya thought about retreating and changing the subject, but her father finally spoke up, "Well princess, it is a very rare thing, it is not something that is usually common. I have heard of stories of humans and werewolves being mates, but it is very rare."

"And as for other creatures", Zendaya's mother added, "we are not too sure about that."

"So then, what do you all think about a human and a werewolf being mates?"Zendaya pressed on. Her brother gave her a suspicious look, but she shrugged and pretended to be offended and confused at his look, "What Zane? Am I not allowed to ask questions? What if you end up with a human mate?"

"You ask silly questions," Zane said to her and shook his head, but more in a playful tone.

"Whatever", Zendaya frowned.

"It is not bad, although one needs to be careful. Some humans are good and some are bad, you just need to be careful, if the Moon Goddess made one's mate to be human, then she might have her reasons, so one just needs to be vigilant and sure, many other things", Zendaya's grandmother, Lord Lincoln's mother said.

Everyone at the table agreed with her.

Zendaya nodded her head in understanding, "I see, alright then."

While eating, Zendaya thought about what Alexander had said. He wanted them to meet again, and so did she.

She said she would find him, she never thought about how, but hopefully, she can, she had too.

Zendaya thought in her head, putting some cherry into her mouth and chewing, enjoying how delicious it was, "A human is my mate!"

That night, Wilson had packed the liquid silver mixture he had made in appropriate containers, ensuring that they were labeled with clear instructions that it was for his prisoner.

The injury on his neck still hurt like hell while the werewolf just laid there, enjoying the scene, but Wilson was bound to wipe off that enjoyment of his prisoner's face.

"Two can play this game", Wilson smirked as he whipped up food so delicious with water and a drink.

He could have just ate it in his house but guess what? He brought it to the experiment room, and decided to eat it there.

"Want some?", he taunted his prisoner, most of the time taking the food so close to the werewolves nose and lips just to make him feel hungry.

The werewolf was a strong one though, and kept his face and body unfazed.

"You seem like the type who can take some torture seeing as how stubborn you are," Wilson said, annoyed as the werewolf was not responding to him as he wanted.

"Fine, fine," Wilson said after he finished eating, getting the syringe with the liquid silver mixture, "Time for your night doze", and with that said, Wilson gave the werewolf a shot.

The werewolf groaned out of pained and writhed in his spot, but he could not move that much, "This should do the trick", Wilson patted the werewolf's chest and then switched off the lights as it was nighttime and left the werewolf alone in the dark, tied up and weak.

He made sure to lock the room door, "I hope you get a good rest, tomorrow will be a long day for you, Wilson said loud enough for the werewolf to hear, before leaving.

As Wilson walked back to his home, he thought, "What if he is not the only one of his kind? Or is this not some kind of scientific problem that went wrong? Does this truly mean werewolves really exist?"
