CHAPTER 142
MONTANA'S POV
"My Lord," Quinn said as he also bowed at Lincoln, "It's an honor."
Lincoln just kept staring at Quinn, not saying a word, until the whole room was quiet and tense. Typical Lincoln, we all know he can get overprotective of Victoria sometimes.
"She is my baby sister", he finally uttered.
Quinn nodded, obviously aware of that.
"I don't joke with her," Lincoln said again, "She is now yours and I hope you both treat each other well but if she gets hurt-."
Now I intervened, "Baby!", I whispered and held his hand, "You are going to scare him!"
"Exactly what I want, for him to be scared," Lincoln told me but through our mind link, "He definitely should be terrified."
"I promise I will take care of her, I have searched for her, I love her and will protect her, always, even through bad or good times," Quinn said confidently.
Lincoln looked at him from toe to head one last time before he relaxed and said, "Welcome to the family, please join us for breakfast."
Quinn smiled and nodded, "Thank you, my Lord."
"Lincoln is fine," Lincoln said to Quinn and even a tensed Victoria had relaxed. She was not even scared of her parents but scared of Lincoln.
"You think he's hot right? You were enjoying his hotness," Lincoln said to me through our mind link as we turned to go back to our seats.
"I- well… Umm, baby it was just a compliment," I said trying to defend myself.
"I see," he said back, but he sounded a bit off.
Ohhh I know what this is, "Are you by any means Jealous?", I quickly turned and looked at him, oh his face said it all.
"Me?", he laughed, "Jealous? Of what? Of whom?", he said quickly and went to his seat.
He was definitely Jealous.
I sat down close to him, "You are so cute my precious JellyFish."
"Don't call me that," he said, and it sounded like he was gritting his teeth in our mind link.
"JellyFish," I repeated, while forcing myself not to laugh.
He is so cuteee.
"You will be punished later!", he said as he looked at me, with his piercing sexy eyes.
"Rawwwr", was my reply.
He broke into a chuckle and shook his head.
We didn't even notice that everyone was not staring at us, until we gave them attention, we saw that all eyes were stuck on us.
"You both are doing it again right?", Zane said, staring at us accusingly.
What did we do now?
"What did we do?"Lincoln and I asked the same thing.
"The stuff you guys always do when you are having your little discussion alone through your mates mind link", Victoria joined in.
Zendaya was like, "Mmmmhmmm", siding with them.
"Don't be jealous, my babies," I said, "As for you Victoria, you have a mate right, now you can know how it feels", then I winked at her.
"No comeback?"Lincoln asked Victoria, obviously on my side.
Victoria shook her head defeated.
"Shot, missed, shot again and scored!" I said as Lincoln and I did a high five, "We win again."
"I wonder when you all will realize how old you are getting," Zendaya said as everyone at the table smiled or laughed.
"More reason why we should make every moment worth it, and enjoy the little things around," I said to her and all of them at the table.
Aww.
"A toast," Lincoln announced as we poured drinks into our glasses, just berry wine with no alcohol, "A toast to love, a new family member. Welcome to the family, Quinn."
"Cheers!", we all changed and clung our glasses together before sipping our wine.
"Thank you so much," Quinn said as he and Victoria kissed just right after.
"Oh Goddess, get a room, ugh," Zane exclaimed, while chuckling.
"Let's eat, let's eat!"
AUTHOR'S POV
"Dad, I'm off to work, I have a meeting and might come back home late," Alexander announced to his father as finished his breakfast and got up.
"Stay safe," Wilson said to his son and patted his bag, "My grown man, I see you are handling things well."
"See you later, you also stay safe," Alexander said to his Dad, got his bag and left.
"Hey," Alexander said as he got into his call, after dialing Zendaya's number and putting on his ear pods, "Good morning, did you have a nice rest?"
"Good morning," Zendaya answered, her voice was so soft and Alexander did not want to think that way, but her voice was soft in a way that, she turns him on or can make him have different thought, like it was so sexy, tiny, and cute, "Yes I did, thank you and I apologize for sleeping off on you last night, hole you had a nice rest too."
"That's okay, no need to apologize and yes, I did," Alexander answered her as he started his car and zoomed off, "Actually on my way to the office."
"Oh, I thought you worked from home," Zendaya said.
"It depends, I can work from home and office, just depends, I have an important meeting today though, that's one of the most important reasons I'm reaching the office today," he answered and drove off, on his way to his company, "I wanted to go like next week, but I guess duty calls."
"Mm okay, okay, have a lovely day at work and be safe, I wish the best," Zendaya told him, getting out of words, she did not want to come off as too strong either. She was contemplating paying him a visit but did not think that would be a decent idea.
"Are you going to be up to anything today?", Alexander asked her.
"Yes and yes, I have a few things to work on, so I might also be a bit busy."
"Alright don't overwork yourself", Alexander advised her.
"I won't as long as you also don't overwork yourself."
Alexander chuckled, "Yes ma'am, I just wanted to hear your voice this morning, I'm certain I will have a lovely day."
"I see", Zendaya giggled softly.
"Alright, talk later, okay."
"Okay," She replied softly as the line dropped.
