CHAPTER 147
AUTHOR'S POV
Zendaya blinked softly and wiped off the tears that rolled down her face, "Yes," she said in a whisper.
"Good, that settles it", Lincoln concluded, ending the chapter of the whole argument there.
"Zen-", Zane tried to reach out for her, but she moved away from him.
"Don't, I hope you are happy, you are never punished," She said and then excused herself, before leaving the dining room.
"Zendaya?", Zane called out to her, but she ignored him and went up to her room.
He sighed and sat back down. He didn't mean for it to come out this way? He just-he did not even know how to explain why he decided to tell their parents.
"Don't worry, just give her sometime, she will come around," Montana said to Zane, but Zane was sure that Zendaya was upset and disappointed in her, just by the look of pain in her eyes.
In Zendaya's room, she locked the door and stayed inside, crying, she wiped her face but still, the tears kept flowing profusely, "They just keep building walls, and I am just so tired, why can't they just trust me? Or go easy on me a bit?", she said to herself, sniffing and crying more.
She was so angry at Zane, that she did not even want to breathe in the same room as him at the moment.
"How am I going to see Alex now?", Zendaya wondered.
She knew it would not be a good idea to sneak out, it will just make things worse and this was more annoying because now she had no way of seeing Alexander and only Goddess knows when her father will unground her.
After crying for so long, she just laid on the bed, no tears pouring. She had heard knocks on her door and Zane calling out to want to talk to her, but she did not open.
He even called her on the phone until the extent she just decided to switch it up.
But when he left, after some minutes, she put the phone back on. One of the reasons was because of Alexander, what if he calls and also, "What if he asks to meet? What do I tell him? He has no idea I sneaked out yesterday for him."
She closed her eyes and sighed, "This is such a disaster."

Zendaya checked her phone ready to swear at whoever it was, thinking it was Zane, but it turned out to be Alexander.
"That was too accurate," she said, contemplating if she should just ignore it, because right now she really was not up for any conversation.
In the end, she just decided to ignore it, so she did not pick and let it ring.
“Why do things just never go my way?", She stared at the ceiling, "If I were to be the one, I would cover for him, but why can't he just do the same for me and not make me look like a bad person or daughter in front of our parents."
For the past few days, Zendaya was still not allowed to leave the pack, plus she was also stubborn and did not want to beg her father or anything.
More especially it now seemed like she was upset with everyone and keeping to herself since that is how they wanted her to be.
Training was going well, but one could feel her attitude and tension, her dullness when she talked, she just wanted them to know how much she was hurt, and so she decided to keep to herself, because she really felt it.
As for Alexander, they had been texting and doing video calls, Zendaya was careful enough not to get caught on the video call aspect or any at the moment, she had also explained to him that she could not come out because something happened, and now they won't let her.
She was truthful about why she was unable to come out for the main time but did not tell him the reason.
She was glad he understood her but the fact that he did not bring up the kiss, made things confusing, and she was nervous about mentioning it but she finally did, "I didn't want too, because I was not sure if you wanted to talk about it or if it was a mistake, but I should just let it out," she told him over the phone on one of their calls.
"The kiss," she said nervously, "We have not said anything about it, and I'm confused, I don't know what is happening or what we are doing…", she explained to him, before trailing off.
Alexander from the other end of the line was smiling, "I just did not want us to talk about it over the phone, I wanted us to talk in person and that was why I asked you to come out the other time, but you are grounded, so I decided to wait."
"Talking about it on the phone is still nice, but I just thought to hang out and all that, it was not a mistake, I enjoyed it," Alexander said to her reassuringly as her heart started racing, "And I like you, I wanted to confess face to face, but we don't really know when your Dad will grant you bail, so I like you, Zendaya, for the past few months, you have been the best thing that has happened to me, as a person, a friend."
Zendaya but her lips, blushing, her heart was beating, she was not sure what to expect, but this was the best thing she could hear this morning, she woke up to another day, thinking it will be dull as the others but, Alexander confessing to her, made her feel so much better and relieved, "It was my first kiss and…", she giggled softly, "I'm happy it was you…oh, and I like you too."
"Being cute again", Alexander complimented her. He could imagine her reaction even though he could not see her, speaking of seeing her, "Let's switch to Video call, I would love to see your face."
"What???", Zendaya rolled her eyes playfully and giggled more, "whyyy??, you can't see my face."
"Why not?", Alexander asked teasingly, "oh, is someone blushing?"
