CHAPTER 150
AUTHOR'S POV
"What was all an act?", Zendaya asked him, confused.
"I do not hate you Zendaya, you are not a monster and I know your kind exists, and that is because I have met one," Alexander informed her.
"Go on," Zendaya said to him, clearly wanting to know more, "What is his or her name? I want to know if I know the person."
"You do not, it was a long time ago, I did not let my dad know they existed because I knew this is what he will do. I love him, but his obsession with winning and being known, being top one of everything makes him more selfish, even to me.," Alexander explained to Zendaya and all of a sudden, started uncuffing her.
"I am upset though that you were not truthful with me, I do not hate you, I just wish you had told me," he said to her softly as he uncuffed her fully and she hugged him tightly.
"I am so sorry", her eyes started getting filled up with tears, "I was scared, scared you would fear me or not want me."
Alexander understood her and dried her eyes with his thumbs, pecking her cheeks, "It is okay, let's talk about this later, for now, we need to get you out of here, along with the other," Alexander said referring to Sean.
They uncuffed Sean quickly, but he was very weak and could barely stand. Zendaya could handle herself, she was weak but not as weak as Sean, he had suffered more.
With Alexander and Zendaya joining forces, they were able to assist him as they left.
Although they could not get too far when they heard the click of a gun and stopped, "My own son betrays me."
"Father!", Alexander said and turned to his father slowly.
Zendaya understood what to do next as she assisted Sean all by herself while Alexander handled his dad.
"Father, Stop this madness," Alexander said to his dad, "It is enough, I have watched you do numerous things but not this."
"You do not know anything boy, clearly I still have lots to teach you," Wilson said to his son, his gun still aimed at his son, "why would you even betray your father?"
"I am simply letting these people go and stopping you from making a terrible mistake," Alexander said, trying to reason with his father, "Put the gun down."
"You should do as your son says", Another voice said.
It was Lady Montana, she had come in with her wolf form and transformed as she walked, fully dressed, another special gift she had, "Put your gun down!", she ordered, "or better still…", it was so quick, Montana had formed ice with her hand, in form of a knife, quickly sent it to Wilson, it made a small cut, enough to make him since and drop the gun.
When he regained himself, he tried going for the gun but…, "Tsk tsk, that is really not a good idea", Montana advised him and right on time, the warriors who had come with her came in, they were all in their wolf form.
Montana and her warriors had been watching Wilson and his son from afar before they stepped in, they saw what was happening, waited to understand the whole situation, know the plan before stepping in.
Zendaya had spotted her father's wolf, which had gone and stood close to her mother, who caressed his fur, "It is okay, they are family, my parents to be exact," Zendaya whispered to Alexander who was taken aback by the few of her kind he was seeing.
"I see the resemblance", Alexander chuckled, for now, he had to focus on his father.
"I am here for my daughter, we will harm no one unless we are threatened," Montana said, loud enough for Wilson to hear it through his thick ears, "We come in peace, take what we came for and go in peace."
Zendaya did not know how they were able to find her, but she was so glad they did and well to think about it, it was probably not that hard too, seeing as the connection her family is, themselves.
People have connections, big companies, rich men, etc., but her family was the connection itself.
"He comes with me, mum," Zendaya said to her mother, "He is my mate, he is human, but he is my mate."
Zendaya expected the surprise look on their faces and noticed her father and mother were doing that mind talking thing again, it seemed like they were discussing what she had just said.
But she was not expecting them to give in so easily, "If your mate decides he wants to be with you, even after knowing you are different from him and wants to come and be part of us, you have our blessings, he can come with us," Montana said and Zendaya was so relieved and happy.
All this while Alexander was just trying to process everything that was happening. He understood what just happened, but he needed to process.
"I FORBID IT!", Wilson shouted, "MY SON WILL NOT BECOME A MONSTER OR LIVE AS ONE."
Snarls were heard all around as the werewolves were not happy with that description.
"This is for your son to decide," Montana said calmly to Wilson and then turned to Alexander, "Well young man? We are running out of time. What would it be, would you come with us or?"
Alexander had thought about it already, thought about Zendaya, she was the one, he knew it, "Dad please, just surrender, they will not harm you, it's enough, live a little, enjoy your remaining days."
Zendaya, on the other hand, already knew that just in case Wilson does not accept defeat, there will be other ways to make him forget everything about their kind, there are the witches wiping off his memory and other interesting things.
"I will not surrender to these Monsters. Alexander, I am your father, you will inherit and continue my legacy and from my end, I forbid this."
"I already inherited the businesses, it is mine too, and you forget that they are part human too," Alexander said to his father as everyone else waited patiently for all these to be over, "I have seen your obsession with things like this, torturing them, when you catch on to something like this, you become the monster itself. You have given yourself a name but yet, you insult it."
"Boy-", Wilson was getting furious now, "You are testing my patience. I will make it easy, me or her…choose."
"Do not do this father, everything can work out, I don't have to choose," Alexander insisted, if only his father would listen.
"ME OR HER ALEXANDER. CHOOSE!!!", Wilson raised his voice at Alexander.
Alexander sighed and moved away from Zendaya.
Zendaya's heart was already beating as she called out to him, "Alex?"
Alexander sighed and at this point Zendaya was having difficulty breathing properly. It seemed like he had selected his father.
"I love you father, but it's my story now, I'm both the Author and the main lead, writing and acting in the pages of my life. You have lived yours, you have to let me live mine," Alexander said to his father and then turned to Zendaya and said,
"I choose you."
