She didn't know what she would say especially when she realized that Ava had a point. Veron didn't love her, she was sure of them. He might feel lust for her but it was different for the love.
“Let's say it's true. Are you telling me that his father isn't treating him right? His father might seem heartless but I couldn't believe that they were treated unfairly.”

Veronica was speechless. She didn't know what she would say anymore but she felt bad for Veron. If Ava was right, she would be happy to help him even though he would lived right. She bit her lips. She closed her eyes before she opened it again. She felt that she needed to do something for them.
“I will visit him. I want to make sure that he will be fine.” She decided too fast made Ava jerk her head. She seemed she didn't like what she had said.
“Silly, don't do anything without our plans. We're still trying to process everything. It's better if we calculate our moves.” Ava spoke and stood up from her seat. She was looking out the window when she saw Alpha James in her pack. Her lips were in thin line, and she was in a panic.
‘Take Alpha James away from our pack. I don't want to see him. Make sure that Veronica will not notice that he came here.’ Ava talked to the guards using the mind link. She watched how Alpha James tried to struggle when the guards went to him, and pulled him out in her pack.
‘Ava, he said that he will not leave as long as you will not face him. He will create some scenes if you don't dare to talk to him.’
Her eyes widened in disbelief when the guards stopped harassing him while Alpha James was still standing in front of the packhouse. She didn't know what she would do next especially since she thought that she wouldn't like to talk to him.
She inhaled when Alpha James looked at her even though she was facing the mirror. He waved his hand and crossed his arms. She looked away and heard the guards say, ‘Ava, he mentioned that he finally saw you. You're standing at the window watching him getting dragged out in your pack. It's better if you talk to him.’
She cleared her throat and watched Veronica who was preoccupied by reading some books. She walked closer to her before she said, “I need to go first. I have some meetings that I need to attend. I will update you about our plans once I come back home.”
Veronica frowned. She couldn't believe that Ava decided to leave her. She was confused. “I thought you don't have any meetings now. Ava, are you serious? You will leave me from here alone?”
“Mom and Dad are here. It means you aren't alone okay? This is important.” She lied. She looked away and acted like she was trying to search for some documents to make Veronica believe in her.
“It's you who tells me that you are free for the whole day,” Veronica commented before she breathed out. She didn't have a choice because she knew how workaholic Ava was when she was with her. Ava slowly matured when she was the one who managed the pack. “Fine. I will wait for you here. I will think of some plans that I need to make sure that we won't waste our time.”
“It's better if you will cook my favorite dish. I miss it.” Ava didn't wait for her response and held a folder that she hadn't checked before she left. She was running so fast that she thought that James might leave himself to be seen by Veronica.
“Fuck this man! I will fucking punch his face! How dare he try to threaten me.” She whispered before she left the pack house. When she came to where Alpha James was, she quickly punched his face making him groan in pain.
