Uriel only laughed when he heard how Jaxon hissed in frustration. He was happy to see him finally wake up for how childish he was. He would find someone to teach him how to do some things he needed to learn.
“Uriel, we hear the Alpha King is meeting his other allies. I don't think Veron is connected with him.” He heard one of the spies he assigned said. He sighed.
“I would inform the Alpha about it.” He only uttered. When the man was about to leave, he stopped him. “How is he? I'm worried that he might not be fine.”
“He is a big boy now. He keeps asking me about you, then stops when I inform him that you're trying your best to make your plans work.”
“German, please take care of Morgan. We need to make sure that no one can easily find him. We know that his life is in threat.”
The man who had the name German nodded at him. He was the one who always took care of Morgan whenever he needed to. To make sure that Uriel's father wouldn't break his trust, he was the one who made sure that there was someone who would make sure that Morgan was fine.
“It's going to be six years since you don't come for him. He's getting impatient, and I'm afraid he might escape from me. He keeps asking about his mother. I don't want to inform him that his mother left Alpha Jaxon.”
Uriel glanced away. He was thinking about what he needed to say to Morgan since he was more clever than him. Morgan was born to take the world and was sure he would do anything to achieve what Jaxon had done to his life.
He wasn't the boy who always wanted to play. He wanted to know how to lead the pack. He always ensured that he would bring some books so he wouldn't be bored once they weren't with each other. Aside from that, whenever he was with him, Morgan kept telling him some things he needed to learn, especially from handling the pack.
“Uriel, you don't mention to him that it might be taking six years to be hidden in that place. A smart child like him always easily gets bored once they learn some new things easily. If Alpha Jaxon wants to see him again, then it's better if he will take him, and make sure he's safe.”
Uriel inhaled before he responded. “I want to see his father too. But, we all know that the Alpha King might question how Morgan is still alive since the one whom he asked to kill him. I don't want him to be exposed easily. I needed to ensure no one will ever see him for now.”
“He only wants to see his mother. He's worried about her.” German tried his best to make Uriel had changed his mind. He felt bad for Morgan. He always caught him staring from afar, and he might be thinking about Veronica. He tried multiple to communicate with him but he failed. Morgan didn’t mind if his saliva would stink, what was important to him was to make Uriel back to him.
“I will visit him once I’m done to prepare his father. I know Morgan loathed Jaxon so much, and he needs to give him a try. After all, they are blood-related.” Uriel answered back which made German couldn’t believe it. He seemed questionable.
“I thought you wanted Veronica for you, and now you’re helping him to get back on her?” He was curious about what made Uriel change his mind. He couldn’t believe that Uriel would finally realize that it wasn’t worth it once he had resented Jaxon for so long.
“I realize that I’m wrong to judge him. Aside from that, he treated me like his family. Are you happy now? I know you force yourself to do this, and I’m sure you are loyal to the Alpha.”
German sighed in relief. He was torn to do it. Uriel was his friend, but he didn’t like to tolerate his wrongdoings. He pursed his lips and uttered, “Yeah! You make me choose. You know you both are more important to me. Well, your father is the one who is managing the meeting. Are you sure you want to fight with him? He is the only family member you even have.”
“Jaxon is with me. Veronica, too. I don’t need to push him to see my worth!”
“What about me? I’m one of the best best friends you have ever had!”
“Well, I don’t have a choice but to make you my best friend.”
“Argh! Uriel!” German couldn’t finish what he would say when Uriel finally turned around and left him. He only watched him walking away from him, and he didn’t bother to follow him since he only had some tasks to finish.

“Hey! Who are you? Why do I always see you alone here?”
Morgan scowled when he heard the tiny little voice of the girl who always talked to him. He groaned and tried his best not to yell at the beautiful young girl running towards him while he had a notebook in his hands.
“I don’t want to explain everything to you! What makes you think you are worth my time?” He snarled coldly which made the girl stop and she couldn’t believe he treated him badly.
“Hey! Do you know I’m the Alpha’s daughter? Why are you mistreating me if what I want to do with you is to play with you!”
“I don’t ask you to play with me. Leave me alone!”
Morgan clutched his notebook that he had always brought whenever he missed Veronica. He always drew her to make sure that he couldn’t forget what his mother looked like.
“You ungrateful boy! You are lucky that I’m talking to someone like you! Do you even know how they want me to talk with them, but it’s you I’m giving you attention!” The girl formed tears in her eyes. She was heartbroken. All her life, she was treated like a princess, but now, Morgan was acting as if he was some sort of garbage! She couldn’t understand why Morgan always tried to stay away from her. She only made sure that she was always presentable to her or maybe she smelled nice!
She even asked her nanny if she smelled disgusting because of how he acted to her. She was wondering if Morgan was only doing that to get her attention since she was always adored by anyone.
“I don’t want you to talk to me. You’re wasting your time!” Morgan angrily uttered. He turned around made her grab his hand, and pulled him closer to him. She was curious why Morgan always had the notebook in his hands, and he was always sad whenever Morgan was watching the sky.
“What are you doing? Are you stupid not to understand that I don’t want to be with you!” Morgan shrieked in horror. His eyes gleamed in red, which made the young lady stunned.
“I’m Selene. I’m the Alpha’s daughter of this pack. I want to know you more, but you always act differently when you are with me.” Selene whispered. Morgan didn't say anything but tried to remove her hands from him which made her agitated. She quickly snatched the notebook made Morgan widen his eyes in surprise.
“Gotcha! You are so slow. I’m thinking if you are truly the son of the Alpha but why aren’t you acting like one?” She smirked and ran so fast away from Morgan. She knew Morgan would follow her because she realized how important his notebook was.
The truth was, she couldn’t stop herself from thinking about Morgan. She might be young, but Morgan was always attractive to her eyes, it had been five years since she saw him standing alone below the tree.
“What are you doing? Do you even know that snatching someone’s thing is not good?” Morgan was running to get her when she opened his notebook. She stopped when she saw a beautiful woman that he had always drawn. Every page of the notebook was only her face.
Her little heart slowly shattered when she saw how beautiful the lady was. Morgan draws it full of love and emotions. She sniffed when her tears were about to flow, and wiped it when Morgan was near to him.
“Don’t do this again! I don’t like it when someone keeps touching my things!” Morgan nagged. He took the notebook and hid it on his armpit as if he was scared that he might lose it.
“Who is that woman? She’s older than you, yet you always draw her? Why don’t you start drawing me? I’m prettier than her!” she snapped, full of jealousy. How could Morgan break her heart without giving her a chance to prove she was worthy to be his woman? She might be young, but she was willing to learn everything just to have him.
“Don’t you dare tell me that she’s older? You don’t know her, and she’s too important to me!” Morgan seemed mad. He raised his voice to her, which made her widen her eyes in disbelief. She couldn’t believe the rogue dared to yell at her even though her father had made him stay in their pack.
“You stupid little guy! She’s older than you! Why do you want me to lie to you!”
