Selene was upset. She couldn't believe Morgan had a crush on an adult. She was upset. She knew she would end up like the woman he had drawn and maybe she would be more beautiful than her. She gnashed her teeth when she noticed how Morgan tried his best to hide the notebook from her as if he was scared that she might ruin or break it.
Sour was more evident in her face. She didn't want to hate the woman in the notebook but she couldn't stop herself because of so much jealousy. Morgan finally got her attention when her uncle German had asked his father to take Morgan with them. She tried her best to talk with him but he was a snob which was too surprising because she used to be appreciated by anybody in their pack.
She was the princess, a respectable one but Morgan acted like she was sort of trash.
“I don't even ask you to lie. She's not that old, that's what I mean.”
She crossed her arms, rolled her eyes on him so he would see how devastated he was when it came to him. What about her?
“Do you prefer older women than me?” She couldn't stop from asking. She was blunt and her father always told her that there was something wrong if she would ask some things. If she always asks, it means she was smart.
Morgan scowled. He looked away when he stared at her chestnut eyes. He gasped.
“I don't want to talk to you. Ask someone to talk to you, don't waste your time to interact with me.” he finally became direct to the point. He disliked being connected with a young girl especially when it was his age. He wanted to be the most powerful Alpha King and he didn't line up to distract him for his goal.
“What…” Selene was hurt. How could a heartless boy hurt her heart? Is there something wrong with her that he didn't like? “Do you even know how lucky you are that I'm trying to talk to you? Do you want me to ask my father to kick you out in this pack?”
“If you can. It's fine.”
Selene couldn't understand what she needed to say to Morgan. She was upset that she wanted his handsome face.
If she asked her father to kick Morgan out, she would be heartbroken. She was sure that she would regret it. What would she do? She wanted to threaten him but why was she the one who was scared of the consequences?
“You are so full of yourself. Do you even know me?” Her tone became sweet that made Morgan frowned at her. He didn't like to flirt at his younger age but the lady in front of her was so young and trying to flirt with him? He felt disgusted. He didn't like that someone kept following him like a dog.
“You already mentioned your name is Selene. You're the daughter of the Alpha of this pack.” He plainly repeated what Selene had said but Selene thought differently.
She gasped in excitement, hugged him while she was jumping. Morgan seemed displeased, he tried to push her away but she only held his nape tightly.
“How do you know?” Selene asked.
Morgan groaned. He was sure that Selen was so dumb not to realize that she was the one who introduced herself to him. He pushed her again, which made Selene finally stop from embracing him. She bit her lips while her cheeks blushed.
“It's you who tells me what your name is. Seriously, I don't want to be connected with a stupid young lady like you. I prefer someone who has a brain that she can use.” Morgan was blunt that made Selene feel the thousand knives stabbed her young heart. She cleared her throat trying to hide how painful it was.
“I'm not a food. Do you even know how good I am in our class?”
“I don't want to know. Stop wasting my time and I don't want to stay here for so long.”
Selene was taken aback. Morgan was more harsh and it made her think that she was stepping on his limitations. She bit her lips. She couldn't stop herself from getting infuriated with him.
“I'm trying to be friendly to you! You need to be thankful that someone is trying to talk with you.”
“Why would I? Based on what I remember, I don't even ask you to talk or be friendly with me. I prefer to be alone. I don't want to get connected with a stupid young girl like you.” Morgan didn't wait for her response, and turned his back on her. Selene was shocked for how he acted. It seemed Morgan was so loyal to the man that he always drew.
“Hey! Come back here!” She screamed at the top of her lungs. She only watched Morgan leaving her. She felt Morgan rejected her so fast without even thinking that she might be a good jackpot for him.
When she came back to their packed house, her face was full of sadness. She couldn't stop herself from thinking about Morgan. As she rushed to the stair, she saw her twin, who didn't have a face like her, walking down from the stair.
“Why do you look like that? Is there something wrong?”
“N-Nothing.”
“Oh, Selene, I don't think you will be affected like that if it's nothing right?”
“Solene, please. I'm not in the mood.”
Solene didn't bother to stop her from acting like a bitch. She was used to how she acted towards her. She only watched her going up stairs heartbroken.
She was curious what was the reason why Selene acted terribly. As she left the pack house, she went straight to the back part of their pack house, and saw Morgan who was drawing something in his notebook again.
She couldn't remove her sight from him. She felt that she was full whenever she was looking at Morgan.
She plastered a sweet smile before she ran towards him. Morgan didn't hear someone screaming his name. He only wanted to have his attention to what he had always drawn. She finally had the chance to talk to him and he wasn't the friendly type.
“Are you still drawing that woman?” she asked when she finally came closer to him. She sat beside him that made Morgan give a gaze at her. Solene seemed innocent while Selene was like a brat, who always wanted to get what she wanted.
He only nodded at her but he didn't bother to talk to her. He continued his drawing while Solene was watching him silently. She seemed like a supportive friend to him.
When Morgan was done, Solene already knew that she finally had the chance to talk with him. She grinned and stared at the woman.
“You're getting better when you draw. Is it okay if you draw me, too?” she asked with shyness. She bit her tongue. Morgan nodded. She only looked at her surroundings, while there was a smile plastered on her lips. She loves to know that Morgan finally stepped slowly to become her friend.
“Morgan, please, is it okay if I want to make sure if you will draw me well? I want to put it on the picture frame.” she muttered. Morgan stopped from drawing when their eyes met, she swallowed. Morgan's eyes were so cold that she couldn't stop from shivering.
“Why do you need to display my drawing? I'm not good at this. I only use this so I will not forget—”
“I only want it. Just think this is your advance birthday gift to me.”
Morgan didn't say anything. He continued doing what he wanted to do. He was so focused that he didn't even notice Selene was watching them from afar.
Selene's mouth parted enviously when she witnessed how Morgan didn't even push Solene away from him. Morgan kept looking at her twins while he was doing something in his notebook.
Her heart ached. She didn't want to assume it but she was sure Morgan was drawing Solene without a complaint. Her hands clenched in anger. She couldn't stop herself from getting mad at Solene.
“Solene… I can't believe this!” she exaggeratedly reacted. She didn't like to fight with Solene when it comes to a boy but she was the one who always ended up choosing a man.
She inhaled when Morgan looked at Solene again as if he was his world. She lowered her head. She wished that the pain would fade.
Would she only watch them from afar? She wanted Morgan to draw her too. She decided to leave her room, rushed towards where Morgan and Solene were staying. She looked like a girlfriend who got betrayed by her loved one.
“Solene!” she screamed out of her lungs. She angrily stormed closer to where they were sitting. She was like an antagonist to their stories and she didn't like it.
“Selene, here you are. I want you to meet my friend.” Solene plastered a sweet smile. Her cheeks burned when Morgan gave her a glimpse. “This is my new friend, his name is Morgan.”
Selene tasted the bitterness from her mouth. Solene got Morgan's name easily while she couldn't.
