Selene couldn’t stop her frustration anymore. She was madly jealous of her twin, but she didn’t want to be a bitch to her, especially since her sister was more fragile than her. Her nostrils almost flared when Morgan looked at her with curiosity when Solene finally introduced them to each other.
“Morgan, I want you to see my sister. She’s beautiful, right? She’s the best sister for me.” Solene whispered to Morgan, which made Selene hear what her sister had muttered to the man she wanted. She knew Solene. She wasn’t the type of girl who would go to someone if she didn’t like him. She was the one who always had boys surrounded by her while Solene was always in their pack house, home-schooled, and she was the only friend she had.
Selene liked Morgan because of how mysterious she was, but seeing how Solene was happy filled her heart with bitterness. It was part of their rules, and she needed to step back since Solene had finally wanted her to think that Morgan was for her. She might be a brat to anyone, but she couldn’t hurt her sister, especially in her case.
“N-Nice, meeting you, Morgan.” she stammered. Her eyes formed tears. She looked away and cleared her throat to hide her disappointment. They said twins had the same similarity regarding the type of men, and she couldn’t believe she had finally experienced it.
Morgan’s eyes flicked with a strange emotion. He didn’t know what had gotten to Selene. She seemed sad for unknown reasons. He didn’t know why Selene might be a brat he hated, but he couldn’t stop worrying about her. The truth was, Solene was his type, but when it came to Selene, there was something wrong with his heart.
“I think I need to leave. My friends are waiting for me.” she lied. Solene’s face crumpled. She didn’t know that Selene had other plans, and she never asked for their father’s approval.
“Hey! Where are you going? Do you want me to report this to Dad?” She was trying to threaten her. Selene crossed her arms and arched her brow while trying to challenge Solene to report everything to their father.
“Don’t you dare go to Eugene. Do you want to be her girl? I thought you didn’t like him.” Solene added. She was innocent and didn’t notice that Morgan had changed his expression. Selene laughed and acted as if she was happy. She wanted to cry.
“We are only friends. Okay? Eugene is already waiting for me.” Selene didn’t wait for Solene’s approval, which made Solene felt frustrated. Solene glanced at Morgan, she only caught him staring at Selene coldly. She plastered a smirk because she already presumed that Morgan seemed interested to her sister. She would love to welcome him as her brother-in-law.
“Morgan, what can you say to my sister? I promise she’s a good lady!” Solene was trying to make Morgan have a good impression of Helene.
“She’s a nagger. I hate someone who has a loud voice and a brat.” Morgan replied. He looked away when he noticed Solene trying to check if he might be telling the truth. She chuckled when she saw Morgan trying to be honest with her. Perhaps Morgan didn’t want to hurt her feelings when it came to Selene.
“My sister is a spoiled one. She’s the youngest. But she's the one who has the strength to always leave in our pack house. I wish I were, too. I want to see what it looks like to be out here.”
“There’s nothing special if you go outside. There’s a lot of trees and a wild werewolf, that’s it. Nothing more nothing less.”
Solene frowned. It seemed Morgan didn’t experience to be out in the pack, too. She could still remember how she had met him. She slowly realized that they were the same but she didn’t know if Morgan was sick.
“Are you sick, too? I notice you don’t even go to school.”
“I don’t need to go to school. Someone is teaching me to learn some things. It’s my father’s Beta.” He didn’t like to mention Jaxon but he didn’t have a choice.
“You mean you are the son of an Alpha, too?”
“Sadly, yes! But I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t want to ruin my mood.” Morgan still hated Jaxon so much. He was waiting for he finally see his mother once again. He could still remember what she looked like but sometimes it was vivid. He was scared that he might slowly forget her because he didn’t see her for almost five years.
“Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. Seriously, i realize you are familiar to me. I don’t know when I saw you.”
