Nelson's POV
I stood for a while unable to speak, with my eyes fixed on the door, I turned around taking a deep sigh as I rubbed my chin biting my lower lip so hard that I thought I was going to bleed at any minute.
I began to pace around trying to control my Emotions but it wasn't working no matter how hard I tried.
The look in her eyes.
So soft and filled with pain.
Pains that I couldn't help but feel deep inside my heart.
It was like a string connecting our hearts together in a way that made it very easy for me to feel the pain she felt in a way I just couldn't explain.
What is going on?
What's happening?
Phoenix growls inside of me but I completely ignored him as I paced further, biting my lower lip.
Right now, trying to persuade her into agreeing to my plan will be much harder than I ever imagined.
I don't blame her
I brought this upon myself.
I should have been nice to get and make her see the reason why she had to go along with this plan. But instead, I decided to show my manly side by trying to take advantage of her even though I stopped making her scared as hell.
I looked out of the window, the sun will set very soon and I wonder where Melissa must be at the moment.
Maybe with Anabelle or Conri.
The thought of her spending time with Conri made my heart flutter with nothing but deep jealousy in a way I couldn't control it.
"Argh! What's happening to me?" I asked myself if I was greatly troubled.
Suddenly, the sound of the door opening caught my attention. I looked up and was surprised to find Viviana walking into my chamber with a confident look on her face.
Her eyes didn't leave me and with a smile on her face, she gently closed the door focusing her attention fully on me.
"Why the surprise look on your face Nelson?" She asked, her brows furrowed as she stared at me, "I guess you were expecting that human wife of yours and not me"
Still taken aback by her entrance, I watched her take some steps closer to me.
"What are you doing here Viviana?" I asked not hiding the surprise tone buried in my voice
"Aren't you happy to see me?" She asked as a frown rested on her face, "You don't ask me such a question Nelson, Insead, you wrap your hands around me playing nothing but sweet kisses all around me but here you are trying to figure out why I am present here" she said sounding very displeased at me.
"No Viviana" I shook my head at her, "I don't mean it that way, you are getting it all wrong. Indeed, I am always happy whenever you grace me with your presence but at this point, I had no idea that you will in my chamber, it's been a while you came in here"
A glitter shone in her eyes, she looked away from me, her eyes rested on the well furnished bed edge. Slowly in a very sexy way, she touched it down with two fingers, her red polished nail shone so bright that it added a more fierce look to her.
"Nelson" she muttered In a tone that threw me off the block.
"You don't sound please to see me"
"What are you saying Vivina?" I asked coming closer to her. Lovingly, I held her chin and drew her face closer to mine, our nose meeting as we gazed into each other's eyes.
"Why will you say something like this? Do you know how much joy you bring to me just with your presence? It's so incredible and you know this, you know me too well…" I paused taking a deep breath, "I just have a lot on my mind right now and you visiting me in my chamber isn't what I a expecting at the moment"
"Who then were you expecting Nelson?" She asked, there was a Stern look in her eyes that really said a lot.
"Were you expecting Melissa? Well, I won't be surprised if you were, all me are the same after all, you are legally married to her and not me. I am so sure that she is gracing your bed"
Pissed by her remarks, a frown appeared on my face.
"Don't say this Vivina, we both know that I spend most of my time with you and not here with Melissa. How many times do I have to constantly remind you that I haven't touched her, not to talk of making love to her" I countered not hiding how pissed I was.
Viviana didn't say a word, she looked away from me and began to pace around the large room and I watched her wondering what must have made her come into my room unannounced.
"I heard that you are going to meet the hunters alone at the crossroad" she spoke out to my surprise.
With a widened gaze, I narrowed my gaze.
"Who told you?" I asked watching her every step
Viviana looked up at me, her red hair flowed endlessly and her deep blue eyes matched solemnly with the blue gown she wore.
"You don't have to ask me that Nelson but consider your decision to be a very foolish one"
Angered by her words, I felt my veins appear on my forehead.
"Mind the way you speak to me Viviana, do not forget who I am in this pack even if we are lovers" I warned and to my surprise, Viviana let out a soft chuckle.
"Sorry about that but I am just pointing out how reckless your decision on going alone without any of your men is"
"I am not going to wage war on Viviana," I said.
"Then what?" She implored, this time, stared at me deeply.
"Find who the traitor of this pack is and end up getting yourself killed?" She said not giving me time to speak out.
Knowing how adamant Viviana can be at times,I shook my head vigorously.
"Listen Viviana, you can't talk me out of this okay. You are in the position to understand better and I won't be surprised if you were informed of this my Conri. I quite understand that you all are worried about my safety but you can't talk me out of this. I am not going there to make my presence known to them. Instead, I am going there to know who this traitor is and get him out of the pack as soon as possible" I walked closer to her, this time,I placed both hands on her shoulders and pulled her closer to me.
"You have nothing to worry about. I am stronger than you can possibly imagine. You know this love,I will come back safely to the pack, I assure you this" I nodded giving her a soft look just to calm her down.
The look on Viviana's face showed that she was pleased with my decision. I knew that she came with the intention of making me change my mind but it didn't go the way she hoped for.
"This is wrong Nelson"
"My mind is made up" I asserted strongly.
"The hunters won't give you a chance to live once they see that you are alone, they will be ready to rip you into shreds and you alone can out number them, that's impossible Nelson! Do see reasons and don't do this to yourself" she pointed out with so much care in her voice, her eyes overwhelmed with deep concern.
Seeing how troubled my safety made her, I couldn't help but smile.
I wrapped her face with my hands, our eyes still fixed on each other.
"You still have me okay, I will be safe and return faster. You trust me, you know what I am willing to do and what I can't do. This is what is best for my pack, our pack and you know how ready I am to spend the rest of my life with you"
Hearing my words, her face lit up and she smiled sweetly to me, her eyes glittered with so much vigor.
"Alright, if you still insist. Just because I agree doesn't mean I like this idea of yours. It's more like a sucide mission but I do trust you. But…." Her brows furrowed, "Do you know when they might come? Will it be during the day or at night? Or were the guards informed about this?"
I stared at her a bit surprised, indeed, Conri told her a lot and I am sure he instructed her to come with me just to stop me from embarking on the crossroad alone.
"I don't hate any idea but I will leave during the day and wait until they come around. I don't want to take any chances so it's best I leave during the day and hide until they surface"
Viviana nodded at me, "Please be careful" she whispered seductively at me.
Nodding, I wrapped my hands around her neck and slowly, our faces got closer until our lips met driving us into a soft and passionate kiss, our wet tongue collided in pure passion.
The heat in my body arose,I grabbed her closer to me, kidding her more hungrily than I have ever done before.
Gently, I let go of her lips and placed a soft kiss on her neck.
Viviana let out a soft moan, she closed her eyes in passion as I continued placing wet kisses on her.
"Oh Nelson" I heard her moan in great want. I could perceive a strong heat arising from her, a realization which turned me on greater than before.
Suddenly, the door of the room flung open and before I could get my hands off Viviana, standing next to us was Melissa who stared at us with shocked eyes.
