"Oh yeah? I don't have what it takes to make you jealous?..." I ask and nod knowingly like I totally understand he's speaking the truth. Your statement is utterly true but is that why you wouldn't leave me alone? Why you feel threatened and wouldn't let me go with the virile-looking wolf-man that my Alpha asked to take me back to the pack house!?..."
"Better shut your mouth right now!" He growls as we continue to glare at each other through the rearview mirror. His face clouds over and looks stormy like he's about to erupt with rage. I should stop taunting him with my words seeing how he's looking like he's about to kill me but there's no stopping me, especially when I've not even started with him. I'm still warming up."
"No, I won't shut up! Where do you get off telling me what to do huh!?" I ask angrily.
I see Eric cautioning me by giving me a warning look through the rearview mirror but I ignore him. He doesn't know that I can't stop myself from acting recklessly once I'm angry. It will seem as if I have a death wish
I look away from Eric and towards Mr macho again...
"What are you afraid of huh?... That he will fuck me right inside the car!?..."
"That's enough Ash!" Eric says sharply but still, I ignore his warning
"No, it's not!" I tell Eric before directing my gaze back to Mr macho Man. "You're not my Alpha. You're also not my mate so I owe you nothing! You have no right to tell me what to do! You don't own me! I can do whatever the fuck I want with whoever the fuck I choose to do it with. I can fuck whoever I want to fuck to my heart's content..."
Before I know what's happening, he's sitting beside me at the back of the car, pinning my neck to the chair. He moved so fast I didn't even see him coming.
"You say what again!?" He growls furiously. His hot breath fans my face while his eyes alternate between their human and wolf colors.
"C'mon man, she's just yanking your chain, you know that right?" Eric says
"Shut the fuck up and mind your fucking business, Eric!" He growls and presses a button by the door. My eyes widened with fear when a dark partition slid up cutting Eric off from us.
"You brute! Let me out or I'll scream!"
He first took his hands off me...
"Go ahead and scream! But I assure you even Eric that is driving this car won't be able to hear you, not to talk of saving you from me!"
"Let me out!" I scream at the top of my voice then but he just raises his eyebrow at me in amusement.
I'm about to let out another scream when he grabs the back of my neck firmly as if to keep me from escaping before he presses his lips down on mine to shut me up.
It's a rough kiss. His lips crush against mine as if he wants to flatten and destroy my mouth. Instead of struggling and thinking of how to free myself from him, I angrily push toward him as I hungrily kiss him back. It's as if we're in a battle. I allow myself to be consumed by the passionate heat his kiss lights up inside me, loving the bristles of his beard as they roughly scratch against my soft cheeks.
When he realizes I have no intention of getting away from him, he lets go of the back of my neck and lifts me from where I am sitting, placing me on his lap so I can straddle him. Our kiss gradually changes from hard to soft and slow.
I don't know for how long we kiss but we're both breathing hard when we finally stop. Looking into each other's eyes with our foreheads pressing against each other.
"You're mine Ash! Mine alone! I will know if another male touches you. Human or shifter, I will know. I might not be able to hurt you but I won't hesitate to rip the bastard's heart out while it's still beating. Do you understand me!?" He tightens his grip on my arm to drive his words in and I quickly nod in agreement
"No, I want to hear you say it! I want to hear you tell me you're mine and you belong to me and no one else"
"I am yours and yours alone. I belong to no one else but you... But... What about you?... Are you mine? Do you belong to only me?" I shyly ask and he smiles at me. This smile is different from the cold and emotionless one that I've been seeing on his face since we met
"Can't you tell?" He asks softly
No!" I reply with frustration. "How am I supposed to know when I have no one to tell me!?... I once asked my mom about it but she slapped the hell out of me in reply and called me a whore! I was forbidden from ever raising the topic again. I wasn't allowed to have friends and the mate and mating stuff was only taught in the senior class of high school and since I was forced to stop school when I was a sophomore, how am I supposed to know!?"
His eyes went back to being hard and cold when he heard a little of what my parents did to me.
"Who are your parents?" He asks but I don't want to be distracted from the topic at hand when I've already gotten his attention
"They are not my real parents. She said she picked me from the trash when no one wanted me, bla, bla, bla... Anyways, I'm no longer living with the family she kicked me out. Let's not get distracted, please tell me how I will know my mate when I see him"
He chuckles
"You'll be able to smell his essence whenever he's anywhere near you when you're eighteen. Are you eighteen yet?"
"No! Tomorrow is my eighteenth birthday
"Then let's wait till tomorrow to find out. Meanwhile happy birthday in advance" He says while nuzzling my neck
"Stop distracting me! Can't you tell me now? Please!" I beg but instead of granting my wish, his eyes suddenly glazed over. When they return to normal, he gives me a quick kiss on the lips
"That was Eric giving me a message through the mind link. We've arrived at your pack house. I'll see you tomorrow." He places me back on the chair, gets out of the car, and holds the door open for me.
'Is he just going to dismiss me again? Why isn't he telling me anything? Why did he keep evading the question about my mate?' I wonder to myself and sigh in frustration as I get out of the car
"Look at your pouty lips! And I was here scared out of my wit that he would have killed you by now," Eric tease and I feel my face heat up
"Okay, bye," I say shyly to Eric and start walking away without looking in Mr macho Man's direction. I'm disappointed and annoyed at him for putting me off again. I'm about to enter inside the pack house wrought iron fence when he pulls me back into his arms
"I also can't wait till tomorrow, mate!" He whispers into my ears and my eyes widen, nearly popping out of their sockets
"Omg!... You're my...."
"Shhhh... He said before silencing me with another kiss.
"Do you want to wake the whole pack house up? He laughingly whisper into my ear again when we finally came up for air
I am so happy I can't help but hug him closely to myself and he hugs me back while kissing the top of my head
"What is your name? It's funny but I've been calling out Mr. Macho man in my head" I tell him and he laughs
"I'm sorry, I can't tell you anything about me right now and before you start overthinking, my reason for not telling you is because of your safety. No one knows who I am right now except your Alpha and one other person and I will like it to stay that way. I'll tell you everything tomorrow, alright" He says, kissing the top of my nose
"Oh, alright!" I smile happily at him. "Tomorrow I'll be eighteen and will be able to smell your essence, right?" I ask again and he nods
"Tomorrow you'll be eighteen and our wolves will go crazy when they're finally able to smell each other's essence."
"Love birds! C'mon! Eric's frustrated voice interrupts us and I laugh. My man kisses me goodbye and I watch him go around to the passenger seat and enter. I stay and watch their car drive away till it goes out of sight before I finally turn to enter the pack house
"Wow! I see you finally manage to catch a big fish" I hear Celine's voice say from behind me and I freeze
