Chapter 100

Diana was pleased too and she smiled. She came close to them and leaned into Calhoun's arms. Coco stretched his hands to her and she took her head closer.

"I think he wants to be carried," Calhoun said.

Diana shook her head. "He wants to hug me." As she finished her words, Coco's arms went round her neck and he rested his head on her face. Diana giggled and so did Coco. Calhoun watched the scene before him and his smile became wider.

"Darling, let's go and prepare for the banquet," Calhoun said. "Time is not on our side."

"Come on, who would judge if we arrived late?" Diana asked.

Calhoun did not want her to notice the decrease in the number of servants. He had already begun his agenda to slay all of them and nothing was stopping him.

He allowed her to do what she pleased for the next few hours until she was ready to dress up. Calhoun offered to dress Coco and he dressed him in a matching tuxedo he had gotten after he had seen the one which Diana got for him.

Coco wore a mini robe over his clothes and he looked like a mini version of Calhoun. Calhoun left him on the chair and went to assist Diana with her zipper.

The little boy crawled down from the chair and grabbed a single rose that was on the floor. He steadied himself on the floor and began to walk towards Diana and Calhoun. Diana noticed the small figure moving on the floor through the mirror and she turned sharply.

"Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed. "Cal, he's walking."

Calhoun wasn't surprised by that. "Of course, he has to walk. We have been practising that all week and we just wanted to surprise you."

The boy didn't mind the extra attention and walked till he got to Diana. She crouched down and scooped him into her arms. He handed her the single rose.

"Uh.. apa." He said.

"From Papa?" Diana cooed. "Thank you, baby." She kissed him on the lips and Calhoun scowled.

"He clearly said Papa and you're kissing him?

What happened to Papa?" He demanded.

Diana giggled. "Coco look, Papa is so jealous of you!"

Coco giggled as well. "apa so jealous of you." His accent was unclear and childish but they all understood what he was saying. Perhaps he felt it was a joke since his mother had laughed. Well, he knew that they were cracking a joke on his father.

"How can you be so jealous of your son?" Diana asked softly.

"Kiss me!" Calhoun whined.

Diana kissed him on the lips and he smiled in contentment. Coco however was discontented that Diana had kissed Calhoun after kissing him. He began to run Calhoun's lips as if to wipe the kiss away.

Diana laughed at it. "Oh my gosh, he's also jealous!"

Calhoun took his face away and the boy began to cry out. Calhoun scowled at him and he cried even louder.

"Allow him to wipe your lips darling, I'll give you another when he's not watching," Diana said and Calhoun kept his gloomy face for Coco to wipe the kiss-off.

"Mama, kiss." He asked after wiping Calhoun's mouth completely. Calhoun had enough. He snatched the boy from her hands and put him on the floor.

"Shoo, go away." He said, chasing him out. "Go find a wife for yourself. Since you're so grown up as to not allow me to enjoy my wife."

"Mama, apa!" He reported with teary eyes. Diana found it so adorable, she could not resist scolding Calhoun.

"Come on, he's just a child."

"He's turning two," Calhoun stated. "He is old enough to not trouble anyone."

Diana rolled her eyes. "Come here, baby." She spread her arms and Coco ran to meet her, gloating at his father who looked even more sulky than he did.

As they left the chamber to attend the banquet, Diana noticed that the castle was quieter than usual and she wondered why it was so. Calhoun held one of Coco's hands and Diana held the other so that he was in their midst and the three of them walked slowly to the banquet hall.

The lights were so dim and when they arrived, the crowd began to cheer softly for them. Diana loved how beautiful it looked especially since it was supposed to be her wedding banquet. Wasn't she supposed to wait and come out later?

"Calhoun, we didn't do this according to tradition." She whispered.

"Fuck traditions, I want to make new memories with you," Calhoun whispered back.

Felix came out and did all the speech. Diana couldn't make out what he was saying because Calhoun kept flirting with her all through the ceremony. She kept scolding him but the more she did, the more flirty he became.

Felix saw the signs which Calhoun gave him and he just had to hasten up his speech.

"Now, I bring to you, King Calhoun." He called and the crowd cheered for him. Calhoun went upstage and met Felix there.

"Everyone knows the essence of this banquet, yes. It's to instate the queen of Wisteria and introduce her to you all. She will be my queen, the queen of Wisteria and Luna also. Many of you know her already, but our relationship wasn't defined yet."

"She wasn't happy with the way I behaved and to teach me a very hard lesson, she ran away. Yes, she did. Maybe she didn't know how much in love I was with her, or maybe she did."

"But either way, she did go. And it opened my eyes to a lot of things. I had to allow myself to be loved, no matter how cruel I am. No matter how hated I am, I have to allow myself to be loved."

"And this special woman broke the curse and changed me forever. She did everything she could, including birthing me a son, just to ensure she holds my heart dear."

"No, I'm not saying she forced me. I'm saying she showed me that I deserve love too. This woman is none other than Diana Dimos! Come up here darling."

Diana felt so very embarrassed. She held their son as she walked slowly, at his pace and eventually, they made it to where Calhoun stood. Calhoun grabbed her waist and pulled her in for a kiss. He refused to let go immediately and the kiss was long.

Diana felt increasingly embarrassed as the seconds went by and if not for Coco constantly pushing his father away, he would have not ended the kiss.

"I have no idea why my son is jealous that his mother loves me," Calhoun said aloud. There were giggles among the crowd.

Felix brought the crown and the special chain which the Lunas wore. Calhoun placed the crown on Diana's head and wore the necklace around her neck.

"Behold, Wisteria, your new queen and Luna... And your heir to the throne, Coco Montego."

There were cheers and celebrations around the place. Calhoun felt satisfied.

The banquet continued and when it was about to be over, Felix announced for those who would want to work for the castle as maids and servants. Contrary to what they had expected, there were a lot of turn-ups.

Calhoun could not hold himself anymore. He knew very well that the dress which Diana wore belonged to his grandfather's grandmother and he loved how well it looked on her. He hadn't seen the woman but he had seen pictures of her.

"Calhoun, what are you doing?" Diana asked as she noticed Calhoun pulling her away from the crowd that came to greet her. His family had come along as well but he sorely refused them from seeing her saying that they had important business to finish upstairs. And if they wanted to see her, they could wait till the following day.

Elizabeth was around the corner and she helped Calhoun fulfil his wish by taking Coco off them. Coco didn't want to be separated from Diana and Diana didn't want that too. But Elizabeth was able to persuade him and he agreed to follow her.

Calhoun led her to the bedroom and locked the door. Diana stared at him, the passion in his eyes was so raw. She felt afraid and Calhoun noticed it so he slowed down.

"Darling, I will never hurt you. I love you, okay?"

She nodded.

He reached out for her zipper and began to undo it. His gaze landed on her bare skin and he felt his control almost slip out of his hands.

"Don't blame me, I just want to know if my wife tastes better than my girlfriend," Calhoun whispered.

"I was never your girlfriend. I was more of your mistress." Diana whispered back.

Calhoun chuckled. "You choose to see it that way." He shrugged. "But I won't correct that impression. You know why?"

"Why?"

"Because it doesn't matter anymore. We are married now. It doesn't matter what you were to me in the past, you're my wife now."

"Why doesn't it matter?" She asked. "It's not like I want it to matter, but I wish to know the reason so that just in case something changes the reason, I'd know if it would ever matter-"

"It would never matter. Because it's the past and it's called past for a reason."

The fair answer, Diana thought. She turned to stare at him, she had had her back to him all the while. But he had undone the corset and the zips and if she unfolded her arms, the dress would fall to her feet. She didn't wear anything but small-thigh underwear.

Calhoun stared at her face and tried not to look at her body. "Undress me, darling."

Diana shook her head but Calhoun grabbed her face and peered into her eyes, deeply.

"You're my wife, there are certain things I won't ever need to do on my own again. Like bathing and dressing or undressing."

"Cheesy," Diana whispered. She took off his robe easily and undid his buttons.

"With how quickly you're doing this, one would think that you're too eager to have me." Calhoun teased.

Diana glared at him in response. She unbuckled his belt and loosened his trouser. It fell to the floor and she realized that he was more naked than she was.

"Now that you have caught a glimpse of my naked body, I'm afraid I'll have to do the same," Calhoun said.

Diana shrugged. Was there a need to hide? They were married now and she owed it to him. The banquet dragged on too long and that's why he was so impatient.

"Take it off," Calhoun ordered.

As if she was being compelled, she took off the last piece of clothing which was on her body, leaving her completely naked before her husband.

"How do you think the night should begin? Bathe before mate or vice versa?" Calhoun asked.

"Hm." Diana hummed. "How about mate in the bath then mate after the bath."

Calhoun grinned. He loved his woman. She thought just like him and that made him even love her more.

She led him to the bath and she tried to fill the tub but Calhoun stopped her.

"You've always prepared my bath. Now, you're my queen and I have to serve you too. Allow me to prepare your bath, my lady."

Diana smiled. She retracted her hand and Calhoun prepared it hot, just the way she loved it. Calhoun lifted her off the floor and slipped into the bath with her in his arms. Slowly, he set her down in the bath and pulled her in for a long kiss.
