Before, when someone asks me why I'm so fond of him, I always just blurt reasons that I think are right for me to say. Because he is handsome? Mysterious? Cause he's friends with my brother? I don't know. As time goes on, it becomes more difficult to answer. That's the phase where I ask myself, to what extent should a person go to find the reason why. Because for me, I just knew that my eyes were fixed on him. It's all about him.
"Erato, come on."
I could not recognize my voice as I uttered that plea. My hands trembled as I removed the buttons of his polo shirt. His kisses crawled from my jaw down to my neck.
There I could feel his restraint from hurting me with his deep kisses. He found the ticklish part of my neck and I giggled. He looked up quickly and looked at me sharply. I bit my lip, still hiding my wicked smile.
"Why? Daddy is still on the phone," I said.
"And? Weren't you the one who had this idea? You wanted to hide, but now you’re acting as if you just wanna brag?"
I sniffed and touched his jaw. We briefly met here in the kitchen of the mansion. He's having meeting with my dad in his office when he came down. And here we are brought by our desire. I also have a suspicion that Dad already knows. Of course, my body guard probably reported it to him. I just don't know what dad and Erato talked about when we were at the hotel.
"I just can't get enough of you," I whispered and damp a feathery kiss on his lips.
His face was still serious. I sighed heavily before I wrapped my arms around his neck. Right, I'm the one who came up with this idea. So it's foolish of me to be act like this as if I don’t give a damn who will hear us.
"Alright. Will you be leaving already after you meeting?" I asked.
He nodded and caressed my cheeks with his thumb. He gave me another touch on my lips as if he couldn't even admit to himself that he couldn't let go.
"Knock on my room before you leave," I said. I could see the narrowing of his eyes.
I laughed. "Why? Won't you let me know?"
His brows shot up. "Are you really serious about this, Jade? I don't see the sense of hiding this. We can just talk to your father right now and settle these things."
I pouted and shook my head like a child. "A week or two please. I still want to enjoy you. There's still enough time, right?"
He hissed and smirked after. He kissed the back of my hand and my smile came back again. When he saw my hand his brows made a line. I know what's the reason of that, the ring.
"Uhm, I left it on my room. Since we're keeping this a secret for now."
He didn't answer me. His palm covered my waist and I leaned against the counter top. My knees are turning into jelly every time he's this near. His scent is so manly that I feel like I'm drowning.
"Don't try and loose that. That'll save you in any way you don't expect," he whispered.
"Hmm? As if."
He put his nose on my neck, sniffing me. I hurried to ask him a question.
"Are we gonna tell it to dad first or your family?"
I felt him stopped. I couldn’t avoid swallowing because of nervousness. As much as possible I don't want to mention his family, but it is what it is. I know this whole engagement thing is forced and scripted but aren't we gonna go there soon? Isn't this the reason for all this? He looked at me intently with his deep serious eyes.
"Who do you suggest?"
I averted my eyes from him. "Dad,"
"Your dad then." He simply said.
I nodded and smiled happily.
"Can I tell it to Olivia as well?"
I saw his eyes had a hint of amusement when I said that. He simply smiled before answering.
"Of course," he said.
I giggled. He kissed me again. That's how our life have been going lately. Destiny had really been playing with me. I had just almost fallen to the ground, now I seem to be floating every day in the air. Is it possible to be this happy?
"Ugh! I can't believe a week passed just like that." Olivia's complaint.
We are currently processing our enrollment for our second semester. She’s right, a week really just flied swiftly. Now, our days will definitely be busy again.
"Let's go." I said after I compile all my papers.
"Let's wait for a while. Aiden texted me that he was going to join us. Didn't he messaged you?"
My forehead furrowed, I just shrugged. That is exactly what we did. The two of us waited at one of the kiosks near gate two where the open court is located. Minutes after, we saw Aiden looking a bit sweaty, it seems like he ran to get here quickly.
Olivia looked at him blankly. I just stared at him blankly as well.
"Why do you take so long? You always make us wait, stop acting like you’re important."
"I'm sorry. I went through the pavilion. The Media Club has a meeting. I sent Stella."
My brows shot up and I look at him with amusement. I heard Olivia whisper something.
"What happened to Trish?" I smirked.
He combed his hair with his fingers. "Long distant relationship sucks. I don't believe such bullshits."
"What you're saying is that she's just one of your past time, and now she's gone you used it as an excuse even though the truth is you're just sick of her." Olivia said as she stood up and get her things. I did the same and we left the kiosk.
"Shut the fvck up, Olivia."
Olivia made face. I chuckled.
"You’re not even that handsome," Olivia whispered.
"Hey-hey, Jade won't hit with me if I'm not handsome." His defense.
I eyed him. "I didn’t have a choice back then!"
Olivia and I burst out laughing. Until we got to the registrar, what we did to Aiden was pure teasing. This is the typical us. Only now are we together because we are different of course not like when we were just senior high.
"Will you come with us? We'll drop by the newly opened coffee shop in Crossing." Olivia asked Aiden after we finished our enrollment.
Aiden shook his head and kissed the two of us. I could see Olivia's frown when Aiden let go of her.
"I'll fetch Stella."
"Stella my ass. I can't believe you're really taking us for granted for that another pass time of yours," she bickered.
I smiled. "Let him be, Olivia. Why are you so grumpy? Let him live a life."
Aiden smiled at me. I winked at him.
"Damn Olivia. I need to form. Stella has been busy lately because of the event that's coming. Their club will be the one handling it so let me have my babe time, alright?" He said this and typed on the cellphone.
"Yeah. I'll strip you off in this squad." She uttered to end the conversation with a bang before she left. I laughed at her. I said goodbye to Aiden before I followed Olivia.
