João Felipe
I truly believed that nothing else could make me happier than being by Viviane and my daughter's side. I was wrong.
Standing here at the altar of the church, watching the woman of my life enter through the central nave accompanied by her father, and my mother with Sarah in her arms, right next to me, the happiness was so great, that I felt my heart fail a beat.
Until a few months ago, I firmly believed that happiness consisted of being at an office desk, at the head of a company that moves millions of dollars a month. Today I see how empty the life I was living was because my greatest joy now was to go pick up my wife from her work, to go home after an exhausting day at work and find our little doll, every day smarter, always learning new things.
I couldn't explain the size of my happiness when our little one ran up to us, throwing her little arms around our neck and calling me "daddy. It was something extraordinary.
" You're drooling like a baby, Felipe " Nicolas, who was one of my best men at the wedding, joked.
I didn't even take a quick look at him, as all my attention was focused on my fiancée's entrance.
When she reached the altar, her father handed her over to me, and together we stood facing the priest.
I looked at her all the time as the priest proclaimed the vows, as she also looked at me, and after he declared us husband and wife, we sealed our union.
"Are you happy?" I asked as we walked out of the church.
"I've been happy for a long time," she said, leaving me ecstatic.
" We're two happy so " I joked.
Viviane
The ceremony of my wedding with Felipe was beautiful and I was very moved by the vows he made especially for me.
We only called the people closest to us, because we just wanted them to share this moment with us, the people we really liked. It was not an event for the media, but something very intimate and private.
Felipe's godparents were his friends Nicolas, Henrique, and Ricardo. The latter I didn't like him, but since Felipe insisted that he was no longer an arrogant tomboy, just like him, I ended up accepting him. Of course, he had convinced me in a very attractive way. I smiled just remembering.
I invited Julia, Cecilia, and Beatrice to be my godmothers, as I had gotten very close to Beatrice in the last few months and now we were friends.
"Can we leave?" said João Felipe, hugging me from behind, catching me by surprise.
I was talking to Julia when Ricardo asked if she could accompany him to a dance. Julia eventually refused, but he insisted so much that I believe she agreed only not to draw people's attention even more, as some guests were already starting to look at us.
When I realized I was alone, still not understanding what had happened, João Felipe arrived.
" Did Richard and Cecilia already know each other?" I asked my husband. Saying that word about Felipe made my heart so racing.
"Not that I know. But you who have always been here in Brazil should know better than me about this kind of thing" he said, but his attention was on driving me crazy, because he kissed my neck, my weak point, and he knows it.
" Felipe, we are in front of all our guests, behave " I scolded him, but without much firmness.
" It's past the time when the bride and groom leave " He stopped kissing me, but he was making a puppy face that convinced me more than his kisses.
" You're right, " agreed. " Let's get out of thin air, because I want to enjoy my wedding night a lot," I said in a mischievous tone.
" You won't be disappointed, you can be sure of that" Felipe spoke, and his tone made me shiver.
I really wouldn't be disappointed, since every night with Felipe was wonderful, even if we just slept together, the night was special as I was next to the man in my life, the one I had loved since I was just a sixteen-year-old girl, as that was when I was sure I was completely in love with the son of the owners of the mansion my parents had been working in for so many years.
In other words, he was inaccessible to me. But fate showed that when there is love, anything can happen and today we were getting married, our families reunited, and our daughter was happy, surrounded by people who loved her.
I looked around looking for my little one and, together with Felipe, we went to say goodbye to our families, because we would spend the night in a hotel, and then travel in the morning to Mykonos Island, Greece.
We opted for this destination due to João Pedro's insistence on saying how beautiful and pleasant everything was and also for the whole historical part of the region, he then convinced us and now we would spend five days there.
Felipe and I didn't want to spend more time than that away from our daughter, and even though we knew that she would be well taken care of next to her two grandmothers and with all the video calls we would make to see her, we still, nothing could compare to being next to our little doll, as Felipe called her.
" Are you sure we should really travel without Sarah?" asked Felipe when we were already at the hotel where we would spend our wedding night.
" Felipe, we've already talked about it " I said smiling a lot. " We'll be able to take other trips and take our daughter, but are we going to take our mothers' request and let them enjoy their granddaughter a little while we enjoy a few days just for ourselves?"
" You're right" he agreed to hug me, and his gaze was already full of ulterior motives. " We'll have a whole life ahead of us, alongside our daughter and others to come, haven't we?"
" This subject is new to me " I could still speak articulately, but it was getting difficult as he already had his hands everywhere, leaving me breathless.
"We'll talk later, then. Now I just need you."
That was the first night among us as married and many followed that one, for our love prevailed over all obstacles.
