Chapter I want to tell you everything

Leah didn't even know that Adam woke up because Karen, his mate, woke him up. Her eyes sparkled as if she saw a treasure in her eyes. She smiled and didn't mind Amoux, who was confusedly looking at her.

She quickly went to the food that Adan had put on the table. She didn't mind if Amoux was watching her, what was important to her as she was hungry, and she needed to eat.

“Oh, eat more,” Adam said, using the mind link. Leah didn't respond as she started eating the food he had prepared.

“Amoux, do you want to eat, too?” Adam asked. He moved forward to Amoux, who was too busy watching Leah.

“I think Leah won't give me even a piece of food. So it's better if she eats all of that.” Amoux replied. He sat on the bed and started at Leah again. He was confused; Leah wasn't a food lover. He's aware of that.

He still remembered that whenever he was with Leah, and they were both eating, she couldn't even finish her food. And the most puzzling to him was that Leah smelled different. Her scent changed, and he didn't know how it happened.

“Amoux was right! Of course, I won't give him this food. This is all mine.” Leah gritted her teeth as if someone was trying to snatch her food. She wasn't selfish regarding nutrition, but it seemed that the baby inside her tummy was too greedy.

She pouted when Amoux didn't even remove his eyes from her. She bowed, and she didn't want him to doubt her. She wasn't ready to spill the news to him, especially since she didn't know what had happened to him because Amoux didn't even remember everything.

“Okay, you should eat a lot,” Amoux whispered. His face frowned, and he looked away to Leah. He felt something was wrong with her, and he needed to distinguish it. He wanted to know the truth, but he was too scared that Leah might reject him.

“Adam, I didn't know that you cook! Please, cook for me again.” Leah muttered. She was too busy chewing the food; she closed her eyes as if that meal was too delicious on her tongue.

“Of course, I always prepared food for grandma. She's the one who taught me how to cook; she's a great cook too.” Adam moved to Amoux and stared at him. He tried to come into his mind, but it looked like someone had removed it from his mind.

Adam sighed. He felt frustrated. He thought that he was the one who had a remarkable ability, but it looked like his power had weakness too. It depends if a person still remembers everything.

As he thought that someone had deleted Amoux's memories as if they knew that Leah had someone who could see memories in people's minds. His expression turned severe.

He wondered if he could trust Amoux as he couldn't remember everything. There were a lot of possibilities that someone was controlling him, and he didn't like the idea that Leah would be harmed by her mate. He was anxious.

“Amoux, what happened to you? We reported this to your pack, but they seemed too busy. Until now, your father didn't ask someone to pick you up.” Amoux looked at Adam. His words were too different in his ears. Adam was asking him because he wondered why the Nightwalker didn't pick him up and thought differently. He believed that Adam was too mad at him, and Adam didn't like it when he was around.

“Maybe, they're busy.” Amoux bowed his head. However, he was thankful that his father had removed his memories, but he still remembered their plan. He couldn't believe someone could see memories; what kind of ability was that?

“I don't think your father would be too busy, especially since his son was in the hospital. You're his successor, and I know that he would do everything to protect you.” Adam's voice was too severe; he was glaring at Amoux and trying to intimidate him.

“I don't know. I don't remember everything.” Amoux shrugged his shoulders, and there was a gentle smile on his lips that only Adam could notice, which made Adam's face darken.

“Amoux, I'm sorry to tell you this, but I don't want my cousin to be harmed because of you. You should return to your pack, especially since you didn't recall everything. What would happen if someone was controlling you? I want to make sure that my cousin is safe first.”

“She's safe with me. I'm her mate, Adam.” Amoux tried to calm himself. He didn't like that Leah would be mad at him again if he tried to be moody toward her cousin.

“You seemed so sure that my cousin would be safe in your arms. But I think otherwise. Amoux, you didn't remember everything, but you looked so confident.” Adam's lips rose. He smirked as he finally understood why Amoux had deleted his memories.

“Okay, I would believe in you. You seemed so sure, and maybe, you're acting like you didn't remember everything.” Adam whispered, which made Amoux widen his eyes. He couldn't believe Adam was observant, and he was caught because of his confidence.

He understood now why Leah was too overprotective of her cousin; aside from that of their relatives, Adam was a big help to her. And it looks like Adam was too loyal to her.

‘I can't believe this. I need to watch my words when Adam is here.’ Amoux thought.

He tried to hide the shock on her face, and he didn't even react. The more he responds, the more he will be caught. He cleared his throat and looked away to Adam, who was watching his every move.

‘Gotcha! So, you're acting like you didn't remember everything, but you removed your memories.’ Adam thought. He smirked and felt proud of himself that he had caught Amoux, but there was a slight irritation that he felt when he thought that his ability had a weakness.

Adam glanced at Leah, who was too busy to eat that she wasn't aware of her surroundings. What was essential for her was the food that she ate.

“Leah, I'll be going. Karen was alone in our room.” Leah rolled her eyes at him. He smiled.

“You're such a protective mate, cousin. I know that Karen was too faithful to you.” Leah said.

“I know that she was faithful, but she's pregnant.” Leah widened her eyes. She forgot that Karen was pregnant, and she understood that Adam was scared that something terrible might happen to his mate.

“Wait, I thought that she would surprise you. Did she tell you that?” Leah asked. Adam's face turned pale. He knew that Leah would be mad at him once he discovered he had used his ability again.

He had no choice, and he didn't even know that Karen was hiding her pregnancy from him. He swallowed.

“Don't tell me that you use your ability again?” Leah inquired again; she used the mind link to prevent Amoux from hearing them.

Adam didn't react. He looked away, which made Leah glare at him in irritation. She gritted her teeth in too much annoyance. She felt sad for Karen, and once Karen discovered that he could see the memories, Adam might be outside in their bed.

“Seriously, Adam! Karen didn't even tell you, right?”

“Okay, I admit it, yeah. She didn't tell me anything. I was worried that something wrong might happen to her when I saw her vomiting many times. Then, she avoided being intimate with me. She was too distant; that's why I used my ability. I don't even know that she's pregnant, alright? I'm wrong.”

“Of course, you didn't know because she wanted to surprise you. I can't believe this. You're such an over-thinker.” Leah continued eating her delicious meal. She groaned in calmness when the banquet that she had savored was melting in her mouth.

“Leah, okay, what I did was wrong, okay? Please, don't tell Karen about this.” Adam pleaded.

“I don't know. If you bring me a lot of food tomorrow, maybe I won't tell her that you finally realize her surprises.” Adam scowled when Leah tried to blackmail her. He knew she was pregnant, and it looked like his cousin loved the food he prepared.

“You don't need to threaten me because I will cook for you whenever you want.”

“Oh, and that's a deal. But I want to know why you didn't tell Karen about your ability. Didn't you trust her?”

“I trust her, but I want to make sure.”

“And what do you need to make sure? I don't understand you. She's your mate and the future mother of your child.” Instead of answering Leah's question, Adam sighed deeply.

“I will tell you once I'm sure about it.” Leah was stunned. It looks like she didn't know Karen too much. She understood that Adam knew something that she didn't know. She's his mate, and if cousin was ready, she knew he would spit it. But Adam's reaction gives her doubt about Karen.

“Okay,” Leah replied. She yelled as she caressed her tummy. She pursed her lips when Amoux arched his brow to her.

“Oh, why are you looking at me like that? Is this your first time seeing a woman who eats a lot?” Leah glared at Amoux, but Amoux grinned at her. Leah was surprised, and she couldn't believe that seeing Amoux smirk at her was too beautiful in her eyes.

“No, and I'm happy that you're eating a lot. You seem stressed; that's why you're overeating food.” Leah groaned. She couldn't believe Amoux concluded that she was stressed in her pack. She's not a stressed eater.

“Are you humiliating me? Are you trying to say that I am fat? Seriously.” Leah stood up. She quickly went to Amoux, and she was too adamant about attacking him. She felt her blood boil when Amoux said that. She thought that he was secretly humiliating her.

“Wait, I didn't say that. Leah, even if your body changed. You're still the woman that I want.” Leah stopped when she heard his sweet words. She bit her lips; she never thought that hearing Amoux telling her that made her want to suck his dick. She missed him so much, especially his cock.

“Shut up!” Leah's face reddened in embarrassment. When she glances at her cousin, she notices Adam smirking at her. Adam immediately hid his grin when she gave him a murderous glare.

“Why are you mad at me? Did I say something wrong?” Amoux's tone was full of worry. He gazed at Adam as if he was seeking his help, but Adam didn't look at her.

“I think I should go. My mate was waiting for me.” Adam didn't wait for his cousin's response as he quickly went out to their room when he felt that Leah was too moody at his mate. Of course, he didn't like to make her angry, especially since Leah knew his secret.

He felt terrible for Amoux, and he wished that he was still alive tomorrow. Though he's exaggerating a little bit overstating thing; he knows that Leah couldn't dare to hurt her mate. She loved him; all she wanted was to make her mate fine.

Amoux and Leah just looked at each other. They both didn't know how they would react to each other since Adam left them to have more privacy.

“Do you want to sleep beside me?” Amoux doubtfully asked. He moved to the other side of the bed and tapped the spacious side of the bed. He was hoping that Leah would agree to sleep beside him. He missed her; aside from her touch, he forgot to rest beside her.

Though he knew that Leah slept with Alpha Brandon, his heart was grieving for what his mate did. He loved her so much that he was ready to forget everything. He wanted Leah to be his Luna; he wanted to end up with her.

When he glanced at Leah's body, he felt something had changed for her. Aside from that, her boobs look more prominent; he saw that her waist and body shape changed too.

Her face was glowing, and it looked like Alpha Brandon was treating her well. He swallowed when he felt the bitterness on his tongue. He sighed.

Leah didn't talk, but she lay on the spacious side of the bed. Amoux felt happy that his mate wanted to sleep beside him even though he had Leah's back. He lay down on the bed, and his heart was racing too fast.

“Are you nervous?” Leah asked. Amoux held his breath, and he uttered more profanities when he felt his cock harden. He gulped so hard. He wanted to smack his head when his cock was fully erected; it looked like his cock finally knew who his commander was.

“I'm not nervous.” He answered. He bit his lips and tried to calm his heart. He was a jerk. He later noticed that his heart was pumping too fast because of Leah. That he wanted her so badly because she was his mate.

“But, I can hear your heart. And it's pumping too fast, and you're trying to hold your breath.” Leah turned around and faced him. Amoux was more surprised, and he tried to maintain his composure, but he failed.

“I didn't know you could hear my heartbeat, Leah.” He whispered. He closed his eyes, preventing Leah's reaction. He doesn't want to humiliate himself anymore.

“I am a healer, Amoux. Aside from that, I can hear someone's heart; that is how I discern someone's sickness.”

“I think I need to sleep right now. I felt embarrassed that you heard my heart racing because of you.” Amoux finally admitted. He thought he needed to be more vocal about his feelings; he wanted Leah to know his true feelings for her.

“What do you mean, Amoux? Are you intimidated because of me? I don't even try to scare you!”

“Leah, I'm sorry if I'm such a jerk. I'm a terrible mate to you.” Amoux coughed as he tried to stop himself from crying. Leah closes her eyes too. She doesn't like it when Amoux tries to maintain his calm.

“I know I'm such a jerk, and I can't believe that I realized that aside from that, you are my mate, and I love you. I still remember when I saw you with your parents; I thought that I was secretly jealous that you were happy with your parents as I wished that my parents would treat me in that way.”

“I wondered why you looked so happy if your family was the lowest rank in our pack. I don't get it, but I found myself walking toward where I first saw you. You look so happy and enjoy everything that you have.”

“When I discovered that your parents were the reason my younger brother died. I'm mad at them because my father was mourning his loss.” He added.

Leah was shocked by what she found out. She didn't know that her parents were the reason why Richelle's son died. Her eyes formed tears, and they wanted to come out in her eyes.

“I don't understand why my parents—”

“My father knew they were both healers, and instead of trying to heal my brother, they poisoned him. But I thought that someone was trying to blame them.”

“What do you mean, Amoux? Did you mean that someone wants my parents to take the blame?”

“Yeah, and my father was trying to investigate everything. But it looked like someone was trying to hide it.”

“Amoux, you don't need to tell me that your father wasn't the one who killed my parents. Did you think that I would believe you? I knew how mad he was towards me, and he wanted to kill me so badly.”

“I am aware of that, okay? But, if your parents were the culprit of my brother's death, I don't think Richelle would adopt you. And I knew that your parents weren't like that. I remember when I first talked to them; they're too concerned about someone's life.”

“My father was Richelle's best friend. That's why Richelle adopted me.”

“Aside from that, Richelle knew that your father couldn't do that. She knew her since they were kids; that's why she trusted him so much.”

“I know that. But, if your father didn't want to kill my parents, then who was the one who did that to them?”

Amoux sighed. He felt sad that it was his mother doing. He never thought that his Luna was the one who did nasty.

His mother was too kind in his eyes. At first, he was too hurt that his mother was the mastermind of everything. The Lycan told him everything, that's why the Lycan couldn't sleep properly when he discovered that it was Luna who did nasty behind his back.

“I want to tell you everything, but I'm scared you wouldn't believe me. Leah, I love you, and I want to do everything for you. I will correct everything even if it causes life.” Leah's heart was racing too fast; she didn't know why she felt scared that Amoux would sacrifice his life for her, and she didn't like the idea that she would do that.

“You don't need to sacrifice your life for me, Amoux,” Leah uttered. She felt afraid that her child might be growing up without a father.

“It's my choice, Leah. I wanted to do the right thing. You always sacrifice to protect me, and I think I will return the favor.”

Instead of responding to his words, Leah found herself touching Amoux's face. She heard Amoux's heart race again. It looks like Amoux was too affected by her touch, and she liked it. She never thought that she wanted so badly to be touched by him.
