“ALMERA!” Karen shouted when Almera was about to fall on the floor, but Adam quickly held her. She felt her soul had left her when she thought about her baby. Though, she wanted to make fun of her because she collapsed when she found out that Leah was still alive, and once she woke up, she would surely curse many times for how Leah made her believe she was gone.
She glanced at Leah when she moved closer to Almera. She felt her eyes get wet because it was confirmed that their Alpha was still alive. She was happy to see her live, and she could almost notice her baby bump.
“I thought Karen would lose consciousness, but I was wrong. Well, I prepared for it.” Leah mumbled as she took a leaf and let Almera smell it.
Karen blinked when she saw how stunning Leah was. There was something in her aura that made her tremble in fear.
She didn't know if it was part of her imagination that Leah was sparkling. She saw that she was too sexy to get pregnant, and she swallowed.
“This bitch, how dare she collapse. I was going to kick her ass out after she got into a fight with you.” Leah irritatedly uttered. Karen wiped the tears from her eyes.
“You don't need to do that. We're fine, Alpha Leah. I'm happy to see you here, and I didn't lose my sister!” Karen sobbed, which made Adam gently put Almera on the floor and leave her. He grabbed Karen's waist when she couldn't control her emotion. He hugged her too tightly.
“Hush, honey. I'm sorry I didn't tell you everything; you know it's her order.” Karen glared at Adam, which made Adam swallow slowly.
“Please, don't get mad at my cousin. He wanted to tell you everything because he felt guilty about hiding something from you, but I used my Alpha tone with him. So he didn't have a choice but to obey me.” Leah explained when she saw how Karen glared at her cousin.
“Okay,” Karen nodded.
Adam sighed in relief that Karen would be mad at him. He doesn't want her to get mad at him after they fight each other.
They all looked at Almera when they heard her groan. She slowly opened her eyes, and the first one she saw was Karen.
“K-Karen, I have a dream. It's a nightmare!” Almera massaged her nape and sat on the floor. She closed and opened her eyes several times when she saw three pairs of feet.
“Leah is alive, and she's mad at me. I think she's haunting me. I see her glaring at me as if she wants to eat me!” Almera exclaimed. She gradually upped her visions, and her eyes widened when she saw Leah arching her brow at her.
“I don't even know that I'm a nightmare, Almera,” Leah uttered. She shook her head in disappointment. She moved closer to her and flipped her forehead.
“Ouch! What the— why did you do that?” Almera frowned and even massaged her forehead.
“I thought you would think that you were having the best dream when I went into your dreams!” Leah sarcastically said.
“It's a different story, okay? I thought that you were dead and you were with me in my dreams. How is that supposed to be the best dream?” Almera cried out.
“Okay, I want to talk to the two of you. I thought you were still not okay with each other; that's why I decided to expose myself to the two of you.” Leah walked through the window.
“But Karen told me that you are both okay right now. I won't kick Almera's ass since Karen informed me about it. But I need your help, and I hope you will help me.” Leah watched every member of her pack. She smiled and gently touched her baby bump.
“Tell me, Alpha Leah. We're happy to help you, whatever it is.” Almera gazed at Karen, and she nodded at her.
“I need to go to the Nightwalker. I want to see Lycan Hector.” Leah answered. Almera and Karen looked at each of her again. They are confused that Leah might not know that Lycan Hector isn't still awake. That's why the Nightwalker pressured Amoux to get the throne.
“Alpha Leah, until now, he isn't awake. We found Lycan Hector after he fell to the cliff.” Karen answered.
“Tell me, Karen, who checked Lycan Hector when he fell? It's Adam, right?” Karen didn't answer the advice. She understood why Leah was still confident that the Lycan was still alright.
Her mouth twitched when she peeked at Adam, who was faking his cough. He lowered his head when he realized that Karen would find out everything.
“Wait, is it okay if I ask you? What about the body that we burn? Where did you get that? And does Alpha Brandon know about it? He's mourning that you died.” Almera couldn't stop herself from asking too many questions.
“It's a suicide. Adam discovered that Anaya was planning to kill Alpha Brandon at his engagement party. That's why we took advantage of it. When Alpha Brandon drank the liquor, that's the sign that we needed to do our plan.”
“He didn't know that we used him for our plan. And healing him was part of it. And the body that you all burned was one of the guards out on my friend's pack. We used a potion to let you all think I am the one you all burn.” Leah added. She breathed heavily as she crossed her arms.
“Do you want to help me with my plans? Our time is limited, and we need to do this too fast. They wanted Amoux to get the throne so they could be the most powerful werewolves in the world.”
“I never thought that you planned and calculated everything. I don't want to consider that you know the upcoming future, Alpha Leah.” Almera rubbed her hand when she felt that she was going to cringe.
“I don't know my future, Almera. But I know that we all can create our future. I know that we will make it.” Leah replied. She gazed at Karen.
“Karen, I want to apologize if I need to harm your family because of what they did. I don't want you to get angry at me because you're still my sister.”
“Alpha Leah, I know that they are all my family, but I want to say to you that it's alright. I'll understand that you will do that because they are terrible to all of you and even me.” Karen proudly responded.
“Okay, then, I want you all to help me to get back to the Nightwalker.” Leah smiled. Her eyes glowed in a different color, which made her Betas and cousin feel amazed.
