Chapter 154

“Where is Anaya? I've been searching for her because she needs to hear what your father's last wish is.” Amoux frowned when he heard Luna say those words. He glanced at Damon, who was gritting his teeth in anger. He was massaging his chest as if his chest was burning. He was stunned.

“That bitch, how dare she have sex with someone!” Damon gnashed his teeth as he tried to whisper those words, but Amoux still heard him because he was too near to him. Amoux prevents himself from grinning when she sees how Damon is enduring the pain. He felt terrible that he was enjoying how Damon suffered because of Anaya.

“Luna, I don't think that Anaya needs here. She's not his daughter, but I am his son. If you want to locate her too fast, let's ask the guards for help.” Amoux said.

Luna was stunned. She didn't know why she felt uncomfortable all of a sudden. She scowled when she didn't see Gabriel.

“Where is your uncle Gabriel? I thought that he was with us.” Damon's expression darkened when he thought about Gabriel. He's the only man who wasn't in the meeting hall.

“I think he's been with Anaya. They're both missing.” Amoux acted like he was looking at all of the people in the meeting room.

Damon stood up. He clenched his fist and went out to the meeting room. He knew Anaya was with Gabriel, but he stopped when he saw Gabriel entering the meeting room.

“Where is Anaya?” He asked.

“I don't even know where she is. Did you look at her room? Maybe, she was there.” Gabriel smirked before he left him.

He stared at him and followed him. Does Gabriel think he was stupid to believe what he was trying to do? He was sure that he was with Anaya.

“Luna,” Gabriel shouted Luna's name. Luna's face enlightened, and they sweetly smiled at him. She points her finger at the vacant seat near her. Gabriel chuckled and immediately went to the chair.

He patted Amoux's shoulder and even smiled at him. Amoux nodded, but he tried to hide the anger in his eyes.

“I thought you were all starting now. I was rushing to get here since I was late.” Gabriel looked at the scribe, who was examining him intently.

“Luna, I don't understand why you need them in this meeting room. All I want is Amoux since he was the successor of the Nightwalker. Aside from that, this meeting was for the family of Sergio.” The scribe honestly informed her, which made Luna stunned for a moment.

She knew that Lycan Hector asked the scribe about his last will. Aside from that, Amoux will be the successor of the Nightwalker; he left something to her and everyone.

“Are you sure about it? I'm sure that they all need to hear his last will because they're all part of it.” Luna sighed, and she tried to calm herself.

“Luna, I'm the scribe of Lycan Hector since he inherits the throne from his father. I'm faithful to him because, as the scribe, I must hide his will. So, I don't get why you insist that they're all part of his last will. It's a private conversation between the Lycan and me, don't tell me that you eavesdropped. You seemed so sure that the Lycan left for them.” Luna gnashed her teeth. She faked her chuckle, but she gripped the chair tightly.

How is that possible? Since she saw how Lycan Hector sealed the letter, she prepared it for him. What is happening?

“Luna, you should calm down. Let the scribe do his job.” Gabriel advised her while using the mind link. Anaya entered the meeting room in a different dress; she was with her parents, who were too excited about Lycan's last will.

“We're sorry if we're late. There's an emergency that happened in our pack.” Anaya's mother explains. She kissed Luna on her cheeks and winked at Gabriel.

Alpha Joe had a smirk, for he was too happy that Anaya would be the next Luna. He doesn't need to endure what he wants him to do once Anaya replaces her as the Luna of all the werewolves.

The scribe sighed. He was trying to calm himself, and he found out that Lycan Hector was fitting that he had a lot of traitors in his pack. He felt terrible for Amoux that they surrounded him.

“Okay, I will start reading this last will.” The scribe announced, but he stopped when they heard a loud commotion at the pack house. They all stood up when a woman entered the meeting hall. A smirk on her lips and her Betas and her cousin surround her.

“What is this bitch doing here?” Anaya screamed out of her lungs. Her eyes glowed when Leah sat on the center part of the chair.

“We all know that you're dead!” Anaya's mother exclaimed. She glared at Karen, who had no expression on her face. She felt disgusted that she had a traitor's daughter.

“Karen, what is the meaning of this?” Alpha Joe stood up and was about to run to his favorite daughter when Karen pointed her sword at him. Her eyes show anger, and she feels sick that they are her family.

“I won't think twice about stabbing you, Alpha Joe. Don't dare go closer to me, or I might cut your freaking neck.” Karen threatened. She blinked as she stopped her tears from falling, and Alpha Joe saw it, which made his heart break.

“How dare you disrespect our father, Karen! You're so ungrateful.” Anaya mocked. She rolled her eyes at her sister and even cursed her. “You're such trash!”

“One more word to my mate; I will cut your head. How dare you call your sister trash after you slept with a random man who was your father's age.” Adam coldly went closer to Anaya.

Anaya's eyes widened in disbelief. She glared at Adam when she saw how Luna gave her a murderous glare. She gulped.

“Let's stop this commotion. I'm here to read the last will of Lycan Hector. And Leah Vuk is part of it.” They're all surprised when the scribe tells them that Leah needs to hear about the will.

“So, the Lycan wanted Amoux to inherit the throne if he married Leah Vuk tomorrow. She will be the future Luna of the Nightwalker.” The scribe announced, which made them stand up in disbelief.

Leah chuckled.

“Are you fucking with us? My father had an agreement with the Lycan! He wanted to be his son's Luna!” Anaya furiously yelled.

“He wanted you to be with his son because he thought you were a good woman. But everything changed when you slept with his cousin and Mr. Gabriel.” The scribe sarcastically rebutted, which made Gabriel panic. He saw how Luna looked at him.

“Luna will be replaced tomorrow after she has an affair with Gabriel.” The scribe added.

“Guards!” Leah shouted, and the guards went into the meeting. They all panicked when Leah grinned at them. “Take them. There are a lot of cases that they need to face. All the elders prepared the evidence, so I want you to use the rope I gave you!” Leah added.

The guard quickly went to them and tied them using the rope. Damon was shocked when he was that Leah was still alive. He felt happy, but at the same time, he was grieving that Leah would end up with his useless cousin.

“L-Leah, I don't understand. Why am I part of this?” Damon was too confused because he understood why his father and mother needed to be arrested, but what about him? What did he do?

“I trust you, Damon. I can't believe that you betrayed me.” Leah replied. Damon felt his heart crash when Leah went in front of her. He thought something had changed in her, but he couldn't pinpoint it.

“I did that because I love you! I don't want the throne if it's not because of you, Leah. I don't understand what you see in my cousin or Alpha Brandon!” Damon was too hurt that Leah decided to arrest him.

“You poisoned Alpha Brandon. You changed the potion that you gave to Anaya. Damon, I can't accept that you betrayed your cousin because of me.”

“It's because I love you! I don't understand myself whenever I'm with you. I'll give Amoux a lot of chances to get you, but he's a jerk! How could you accept him after what he did, and you didn't want to forgive him? I'm always with you, Leah! I always wanted what was best for you! I'm always with you, but after Amoux broke your heart, you quickly gave yourself to Alpha Brandon!” Damon sobbed. He felt that his heart was grieving because even though he did everything for Leah, she couldn't see him as a man; she could see him as a friend.

“Damon,” Leah's tears slowly cried. Even though she was mad at him for what he did, she felt pain when Damon did that because of her.

“No! Don't you dare cry in front of me! I don't want you to cry!” Damon lowered his head.

“It's my fault. And I'm sorry.” Leah whispered. Her voice cracked. She never thought that Damon had genuine feelings for her. She felt that he was playing with her to make Amoux jealous.

“I'm sorry, it's my fault,” Leah added.

“N-No, I'm sorry, it's my fault. I decided to betray Amoux because he was so lucky. He has you! The Moon Goddess gave him a faithful and loyal mate, while she gave me this disgusting mate who always fucked with random men!” Damon gnashed his teeth when he glanced at Anaya.

“You're the one who was disgusted! You kept acting like you're a good man, but in truth, you're a sadist!” Anaya yelled. She couldn't accept that after she sustained everything, Leah stole it too fast.

“I hate you, Leah. I hate that I wanted to kill you! I swear that once I escape her, I will kill your entire family! I hate you all, and especially you, Karen! I hate you all!” Anaya tried to restrain themself, but she shouted in pain when she felt the wolf's bane on her skin. She clenched her jaw and kept cursing at her.

Karen slowly cried when she saw how evil her sister was. She felt that she didn't do her excellent part as her sister. She didn't guide her enough, and that's why Anaya had an attitude like this.

“I hope that you're not my sister! I wish that I successfully kill you! You stole everything from me. I will kill you, Karen!” Adam grabbed her waist and let her cry on his shoulders.

Luna didn't try to suppress it, but she was watching Amoux with sadness. All she did was for Amoux. She did everything for him to make him the next Lycan King.

“Amoux.” She mumbled. Amoux gazed at her blankly.

“I'm sorry, Luna. But I know what you did to my father. You pushed him onto the cliff. I can't believe that you easily believe uncle Gabriel!” Amoux disappointedly whispered.

“I'm sorry, Amoux. I just wanted you to be the next Lycan King. I want you to the—”

“Stop using me as your reason, mommy.” Luna was stunned when. She heard Amoux calling her ‘mommy,’ and her eyes got watery. “It's because all of you said where you wanted; you didn't ask me what I wanted. All I wanted was to be with Leah.” Amoux added.

“Luna, you don't need to apologize to your son. You should apologize to your husband. Aside from that, he wanted me to give you this.” Leah gave the small notebook that she had prepared. Luna stared at the small notebook, and her hands trembled when she accepted the book. She started whipping like a child as she kept mumbling how sorry she was for hurting Lycan Hector.

It's the book that she gave to him when they found each other. She didn't know that Lycan Hector was hiding it. She thought that all he thought was Richelle.

“Take them away from here. I don't want them to escape here.” The guards nodded at Leah and took them away from the meeting room. The scribe stood up and glimpsed at Leah.

“I couldn't believe that you went here successfully, Leah. Lycan is right about how fighter you are.” The scribe remarked. He walked to Leah and offered his hand to her.

“I know that Amoux will be in great hands because he was too lucky to have a mate like you.” The scribe added. Leah didn't think twice and accepted the hand that he offered. They both shook hands.

“I can't believe how dramatic that happened today! You didn't inform us to get a napkin!” Almera complained. She grabbed Kairo and pushed him onto the seat, and she sat on his lap.

“Almera, what are you doing? There are a lot of people here! They're watching us!” Kairo tried to stop her, but Almera giggled and rolled her eyes.

“You don't need to panic, honey! We're not fucking in front of them!” Kairo's face blushed when he saw Leah smirking at him. He knew that Almera was trying to tease him again.

“Almera! Please, ahh– stop!” Kairo couldn't stop moaning when Almera intentionally rubbed her legs on his crotch. He held her waist, but Almera was too playful to him.

“I can't believe that I see all of this,” Karen whispered, which made Almera and Leah laugh at her. Adam quickly flushed when he understood why the two women were laughing at her mate.

“Why are they laughing?” Karen inquired. She was too confused about why they were laughing at her.

“Don't mind them,” Adam muttered.

Amoux bowed his head and felt embarrassed. He couldn't look at Leah because his heart was thumping too fast. He knew she was aware of how his heart reacted.

“Amoux, I want to see the Lycan. He needed me.” Amoux didn't have a choice but to turn his head on her. He nodded, and when he noticed that the two couples were too busy with each other, he pulled Leah out to the meeting room.

“I guarded him like what you told me. I thought I was hallucinating, or maybe I was dreaming that you were alive. But when I saw your bit on my neck, I knew it was true.” Amoux mumbled. They went up the stairs and stopped in front of Lycan's bed.

“How did you all know about what they did? My father didn't tell me about that.”

“It's because I told him not to say everything to you. I want them to see you acting naturally. Your father and I have an agreement.” Leah opened the door, and she saw the Lycan King lying on the bed. He was unconscious, like what they had planned.

“Lycan Hector, it's me, Leah.” Amoux was dumbfounded when he saw how his father moved his head and slowly opened his eyes.
