It's been months since Amoux and Leah stayed with each other.
“Baby, where are you going?” Amoux quickly rushed towards her when he saw what Leah was wearing. She was wearing fitted jeans and a fitted shirt. Leah might be pregnant, but she still looks hot in his eyes. Why does Leah didn't even inform him that she would leave?
Leah and Amoux, the Lycan King and Luna of the world, decided to unite their pack. They're leading the whole land with the help of their faithful Betas.
At first, it's too difficult for them to manage the whole pack. They need someone to trust, and Leah decides to give Betas and her cousin to work for it. She knew that they wouldn't disappoint her.
“I'm going for a jog with Almera and Karen,” Leah answered. She posed in front of him and chuckled when Amoux scoffed.
“Okay, I'll go with you. You know that the doctor told us the baby is about to come. I don't want to get anxious because I kept thinking about you!” Amoux held her waist, but Leah pushed him away from her.
“Seriously, Amoux, Im doing this because this is my preparation to give birth to our child. Aside from that, this is a girl's day! And no men are allowed!” Leah retorted. She crossed her arms and arched her brow.
“You all are pregnant. I want to make sure that you all are safe.” Amoux scratched his forehead and panicked when Leah started walking out to their pack.
“I promise I will give you three privacy to talk to each other. Please, make me come with you!” Amoux pleaded. He clenched his fist when Leah didn't look at him. He sighed, and he felt that his going to use his last card again.
“Do you want me to eat you?” Amoux was stunned when Leah stopped. She turned around and rolled her eyes. “Please, I want to come with you. I'm done with my paper works today.”
Amoux felt stressed when he started working as the Lycan King, but he was thankful that Leah helped him. Unfortunately, he thought Lycan Hector would allow him to do his job, but his father quickly took a vacation and left him.
He couldn't believe that his father had left him without even saying anything to him. Aside from that, he felt a letter which indicated that he was going on vacation, and he had waited for this for so long. He didn't have a chance to plead with him to help him first before he left. Amoux was sure that Lycan Hector might be laughing his freaking ass at him.
He couldn't believe that being the Lycan King was too tricky. Sometimes, he was about to cry, but Leah helped him until he finally learned how to manage everything.
They might be united in the pack, but Leah was still working on her bags. She was too hard-working, which made him feel terrible that Luna did everything to help him. Amoux decided to work seriously in his office, and with no time, he became dedicated to his work.
“You are lying. I know you aren't done with your paper works. Aside from that, have you forgotten that I am the one who fixed and managed your schedule?”
“You have a lot of meetings today. Amoux, you should work fast. When I saw Lycan Hector's schedule, his schedule might be one-fourth of your schedule.” Amoux widened his eyes in disbelief. Does Leah think that he will believe what he says? He still remembered that his father had a vacant time whenever he was checking the pack!
“I'm not kidding. Do you want me to show them his schedule? Seriously, I'm doing half of your part. I'm secretly helping you to get your work done.”
“I want you to work more. I thought you wanted to be the Lycan King, but you didn't put in much effort. Amoux, being a Lycan King isn't too easy. Some werewolves were in your hands.” Amoux lowered his head. He thought that Leah was too proud of him, but the truth, she was disappointed in him.
Amoux sighed. He felt his heart break because of Leah's words. He knew that his overreacting, but it was because he was too worried for her.
“Okay, I'll work for now,” Amoux whispered, and sadness was too evident in his tone. He turned around and slowly walked to the pack house, which made Leah blink. She felt guilty all of a sudden.
Leah wanted to have a day with her girl best friend, and she missed hanging out with them. Almera and Karen were too busy with their husband to their work; they all lived in the Red Moon pack while she was the only one on the Nightwalker.
“Amoux!” she screamed. Amoux stopped, but he didnt turn around. She knew he was unhappy because of what she said, but she didn't regret it. She saw how Amoux's shoulders fell, which made her guiltier.
“Okay, you can come with me. But please watch us from afar since you told me you wanted me to be safe, right?” Leah surrendered. She thought that there was nothing wrong if she brought Amoux since he promised that he would watch her from afar.
Amoux pursed his lips when he felt his mood suddenly enlightened, but he didn't know why he was hesitant. He wanted Leah to be proud of him, and he knew that maybe, Leah wanted him to stay in the office.
“It's alright. I'll be working for now.” Amoux quickly turned down. He waved his hand and was about to walk when he heard that Leah started to sniff. He widened his eyes, and he ran towards her.
“Baby, why are you crying?” He kept massaging her back. But Leah slightly punched his chest. He chuckled when he saw that her nose was light red and her eyes were full of tears.
“Are you mad because I don't want you to go with me? I told you it's alright for me if you want to come, too.” Leah groaned. She stomped her feet like a kid. Amoux claimed her lips which made her shocked for a moment.
“Okay, I thought you forced yourself to bring me with you. I think that maybe you want me to work in my office.” Amoux tried to hide his feelings, but Leah was too bright. She hugged him and listened to his heartbeat.
“I'm sorry if I told you those words. I'm sorry that I forgot that you might feel down. I know you're trying to do your best for everyone and us.” Leah murmured. She realized that her words might be below the belt, and sometimes she felt that Amoux wanted to have a day with her, but they were too busy with their responsibilities.
“You know that I love you. I love you so much, Amoux. And I'm proud of you.” Amoux looked away when he felt that he was too emotional. He didn't like Leah to see that her words significantly impacted his heart. She might tease him; he was sure of that!
“I love you, too. I hope that until the end, we will be together. I want us to see how our children grow up together. I want to witness how they build their family.” Leah frowned when Amoux said those words. She isn't ready to see her child grow up.
“Amoux. Our baby is still in my tummy, but your imagination almost left your mind!”
“Why are you mad? I'm stating facts, Leah. Once they reach their legal age, they will find their mate.” Amoux embraced her too tight. Leah groaned when she felt that she couldn't breathe anymore.
“I don't want to think about them growing up. I want to cherish everything about them; I don't want to be sad.”
Amoux and Leah went to the Red Moon Pack, though they held hands while walking, checking each member to see if they were OK or needed something for their family. Amoux was too proud when he saw how Leah cared for everyone.
“Okay, I will ask the guards to help you. Don't worry, ma'am.” Leah murmured when she saw an older woman walking alone inside their pack. She blinked when she thought she had seen her, but she couldn't remember.
“Thank you, Luna. I can't believe that you're in front of me. You loved your pack members with all your heart. I wished the Moon Goddess would bless you and give you strength.” The older woman touched her baby bump. She smiled.
“Your babies were too ready to come out today. Why do you keep walking outside?” Leah was dumbfounded as she didn't ask the doctor to reveal their child. Does it mean that she had a twin baby?
”How did you know about that? I don't even know about it; I thought it was a single child since my tummy was too small.” The older woman chuckled when she heard her reasons. She even closed her eyes and caressed her tummy even more.
“It's because I could hear their heartbeats. They're too excited to see this world. And I know that you two were excited too.”
“You can hear their heartbeats?” Leah was shocked. Why did she not even hear her baby's heartbeats, but she could still hear Amoux's heartbeat?
“Do you want me to ask why I heard their heartbeat? It's because they aren't inside my body. Healers don't know what might happen inside their bodies unless they let the doctor examine them, but a healer can distinguish someone's sickness. It's too unfair.”
“I know that you will be the lovable Luna. I still remember how your mother gave birth to you; she was so stubborn that even though I told her that you might be coming out, she still chose to walk around outside the pack. I was the one who carried you when you were born. I was the one who always did not have enough sleep when I kept crying in the middle of the night. I can't believe that you have your father's features.” Leah looked at Amoux, but when she looked again at the older woman, she was gone. She didn't know how she could do that, but she was sure that it was her grandmother.
Does her grandmother check her? She cried, which made Amoux pull her for a hug.
“I can't believe that we're having twins! Ahh– I wish they weren't stubborn like you!” Amoux's mouth twitched when he heard those words. He laughed so loud because he thought Leah was too late to wish that.
“You don't want a lot of Amoux. I thought you loved me, baby.” Amoux jokes, but he winced when Leah pinched his waist.
“That's not funny. Let's go! They might be waiting for us.” Leah shook her head. Her grandmother was right; she was like her mother, who was too stubborn.
“Do you promise Amoux? I don't want you to interrupt us. I don't want them to get mad at me because I bring men into our girl's out.” Leah made him remember.
“Yeah, I promised to let my wife enjoy her day with her friends. Okay, I will give you more privacy. It's alright for you if I watch you, right?” Leah nodded in response.
Amoux frowned when he saw Almera and Karen. He coughed.
“Are you sure that Karen and Almera won't bring their man? I thought it was a girl's day.” Leah scowled. Of course, she was sure since Almera told her about her plans. She couldn't believe it was not only Amoux who had come, even Kairo and Adam.
”Yeah, Almera told me not to bring our husband. I don't want you to come, but I think they will understand since I might give birth today.”
“Okay, then what are Kairo and Adam doing here? They're with their wives.” Leah checked, and she laughed so loud when she saw that Almera was unhappy with the outcome of her plans.
